“I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Amanda. She watched our 2 dogs this week, 2 separate times that we needed to travel overnight. You can tell she genuinely adores every dog she cares for and she is so great about sending updates and pictures. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for peace of mind when they have to be away from their fur babies.”

“I appreciate the attention, love and extra care that she puts into learning how to handle Frankie's high energy. She comes home so happy--and better trained than when I left her! Thank you, again.”

“Jasmine took care of our puppy like her own, and kept us updated with regular photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and caring boarding services.”

“Haley was excellent !!’ Highly recommend. Our dog has a special diet, needs lots of attention and has some separation anxiety. Haley made us feel so comfortable with regular updates and pictures each day. We were nervous to leave our dog as we had a bad experience after leaving her at a dog boarding hospital in the past. Haley made us feel like we can travel again without worrying about our dog while we are away. Thank you, Haley, for talking no such good care of our pup.”

“Rachelle was great! She provided a great space for my dog to safely play both inside and outside. She provided photos, videos, and updates while I was away so I knew my dog was in good hands.”

“We had such a great experience with Rachel and Newton! Our dog, Sweety, is very timid so were worried about how she would do staying with someone else but she was so so comfortable with them! Rachel was also great about keeping us updated with pictures, videos and messages throughout her stay. They were both so kind and caring with Sweety and we could tell she was happy and well taken care of:) We will definitely be booking with Rachel & Newton anytime we go on vacation. We 100% recommend them!”

“Justin and his son were absolutely fantastic with Doug. They provided excellent care, sending regular updates and photos throughout the stay, which gave me complete peace of mind. Doug loved his time with their pups Dexter and Dori. I highly recommend Justin and his son to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter.”

“Liwei was absolutely incredible! She sent frequent updates and clearly took amazing care of our two dogs. Both our pups have anxiety but Liwei and her daughter made sure they knew all the things our dogs needed to feel safe and comfortable for their week stay. We highly recommend her service to others and would absolutely request her help again in the future when needed.”

“Connie and her family are wonderful. We got daily updates and I love knowing that while we are away our dogs our safe and getting spoiled. My one dog had many medications to take this time and she was great about the extra work involved with him this trip.”
About: My love of animals led to my passion for taking care of them. I am a Registered Veterinary Technician. I graduated from CSCC Veterinary Technology program in 2021. I work at a vet clinic, so I've learned the signs of a happy pet and a pet in distress. This makes me the perfect person in any situation involving your beloved fur baby. Besides providing a copious amount of loving, I can give cats/dogs their medication including pills, liquid and insulin. If there is an emergency, I can drive them immediately to your Veterinary or Emergency Hospital. With the few years of being in the Veterinary field, I've given plenty of baths, nail trims, ear cleanings, and medications. All of which I can provide for you. In the clinic setting, I was in charge of vaccines, putting patients under anesthesia and monitoring them. I've drawn blood, performed dentals, taken X-rays and cleaned wounds. I feel that all of this information will give your mind ease that your pets will be completely safe in my care. I'm currently working at a dermatology vet clinic Monday thru Thursday but, I’d like to help with your fur babies after my shift and/or on my days off. I have a wonderful 13 year old daughter that goes to Delaware Schools that likes to come with me to help (we ask your permission first). When taking care of your pets, I will follow your feeding schedule and instructions along with refilling their water bowl as needed. I'll provide exercise and playtime that will include walks, fetch and toys. I can administer any medications needed and keep track of both times and dosage. Bathing and grooming your pets can be a part of the care as well. If you have a cat, I can clean and/or change the litter box. Not only will I give them so much love and companionship, but I will also monitor for unusual behavior, signs of illness, and changes in appetite or bathroom habits. I will keep them safe from anything potentially harmful. I would love to send updates and pictures of your fur babies whenever you'd like. If there happens to be an emergency, I will call you immediately and drive them to your veterinarian or closest emergency hospital. Lastly, I will lock up the house securely after each visit and follow any security measures that are in place.
“Laura and her son Joey provide excellent care for our senior dog Murphy. They adapt to his individual needs and his personality. He comes home a happy boy. We will use their services again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their York Center home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your York Center.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your York Center sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
