About: I have cared for a good amount of dogs, mine included who me and my family have had for about 7 years. I have dog sat for many of my family friends. Those include some older dogs and some puppies. I am able to administer medication for dogs that need it. As well as play and assist with training younger dogs who have a bunch of energy. I currently work part-time as a school recruiter and am also a part time college student. I am typically available after 6pm on week days, Wednesdays I am completely free and Thursdays I am available after 4pm. I am completely free on weekends. Back home I care for my dog by taking her out on walks around the neighborhood and feeding her at certain times in the day. When I dog sit for others I typically spend the night at their house if needed and take them outside and feed them. I also play with them when their indoor or outdoor. I have administered meds for some dogs and am pretty successful and comfortable with doing if needed.

About: Lifetime of experience, including dogs with behavioral challenges and special needs. I've volunteered at local shelters, and I've fostered rescue dogs in need. I have quite a bit of experience with dogs of every background! I am currently a college student and taking some time off of work to focus on my studies and would like to make some extra cash to help pay my loans/carry some weight at my family's house. My family has quite some land, and although not fenced, I am very active and always run with my own dog on a leash. I do 30 minutes to an hour walk twice a day. Potty breaks are very consistent.

About: Hi! My name is Amber. I am a teacher-turned-author looking to serve your every doggy need. Growing up, I thought I wanted to be a Vet. I spent every Saturday volunteering at the Ross Country Humane Society from ages 10-18 and was part of the Humane Society of the United States Advisory Board. I have spent thousands of hours with animals in shelters/rescues. After much prayer and consideration, God led me to writing instead of Veterinary work. I have experience in pet and house sitting, boarding, and walking. I love pets of all ages, breeds, and sizes, but have a particular soft spot for golden retrievers, huskies, and terrier mixes. As an author, I love showing love to animals and find it to be an excellent and comforting mind-break. I care for my 3 cats, a leopard gecko, and a 55-gallon fish tank every day. I feed, clean, and check on all of them in the morning before work and again when I get home. On my days off, I spend even more time making sure their environments are clean and their needs are fully met. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m always happy to adjust my schedule for the pets I’m responsible for. I’m very safety-conscious and always prioritize the comfort and well-being of every pet I care for. I prefer to care for pets in their own home, where they’re familiar with their surroundings and routines. I closely follow any instructions provided and make sure pets feel calm, safe, and loved while their owners are away. While I’m open to caring for pets in my home when needed, I always make sure the space is secure, clean, and calm. As a vet tech student, I’m trained to notice signs of stress or discomfort and respond quickly to keep pets happy and safe.

“Schawna stayed wtih our animals at the house for 5 days. She checked in with us to let them know they were doing well and sent us pictures with them as well. Our flight arrived late so we told her she could leave and the dogs would be okay so we didn’t get to chat with her before she parted, but we came home and were pleasantly surprised to see the house was also very clean, it even looked cleaner than when we left. We would definitely use Schawna again to take care of our 2 dogs, 2 cats, and home.”
