About: I’ve been caring for pets for friends and family for the past two years, providing reliable and loving care for both dogs and cats of all ages. I genuinely enjoy spending time with the animals and have always been able to build strong trusting relationships with them. What sets me apart is my patience, attentiveness, and commitment to maintaining each pets routine so they feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and I take the time to get to know their individual needs throughout my pet and experience. I’ve had no issues or problems and have consistently provided safe dependable care that owners can trust. I work a part time job at a coffee shop so I have plenty of time to play and care for your pups or kitties! I make time each day for feeding, walks, playtime, and giving pets the attention and care they need. Over the past two years I’ve cared for dogs and cats for friends and family so I’m comfortable managing different schedules, energy levels and personalities. I enjoy spending time with animals and can easily incorporate pet care into my weekly routine while ensuring each pet receives reliable attentive care. I follow each pets normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions. I ensure the home remains secure and that the pets are always supervised and safe. I love building trust with both pets and their owners. It is very important to me so I provide reliable care, clear communication, and give regular updates. My goal is to create a calm familiar environment where pets feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners our way.
“Leah did an outstanding job dropping in on my 3 dogs over the weekend. She was attentive, made sure the Goldie did not sneak any of his findings past her, and was kind enough to clean up after them when needed. The daily reports kept me well informed, and she was very open to communication. I highly recommend her, and I know my dogs would love to see her again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life. I have the biggest and softest heart towards all kinds and sizes of dogs! I’ve dog sat for multiple family members and friends. After taking a few vet classes and shadowing at some vet clinics, I’m fairly familiar with a dogs different behaviors and needs. I love every one like my own! I typically work 6am-noon every weekday as a barista. This can be super flexible. I’m available to care for pets in the late afternoons, evenings and during the weekends. I cannot get enough of being around them! So caring for dogs is the perfect way for me to make some money to help pay off student debt! I recently adopted my baby boy Max and we’re working on socializing. Bringing him along on walks, long stays and car rides would help tremendously with that.
“We are so thankful to Kaitlyn for checking in on our 4-month-old puppy! She was so easy to communicate with, kept us updated, and sent us amazing photos of our boy! We would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 10 and have had animals my whole life. I have volunteered at many shelters and fostered previously. I have experience with older, shy, more understanding needed animals. We are used to training puppies so can keep up with any needed continued care. I work from home and am able to give my full attention to your fur baby. I can move my breaks around for bathroom or attention breaks. My 5 year old GoldenDoodle will keep them company all day, as well. We have a fenced in yard and will keep your animal safe and loved. During walks if desired we have a fully sidewalked neighborhood. We have couch covers for the dogs to be able to get on the furniture if desired. If coming to your home I will leave everything as you left it, with the exception of your animal feeling relieved and loved.
“Joanna was great! We had a last minute booking and she was able to help out. She came over to do a walk through ahead of time and was very patient with our senior girl who takes a while to warm up to new people. We’d absolutely recommend her and book her again!”
“Alana was so good with our dogs and from the pictures, they seemed to really like her. I appreciated Alana’s promptness and that she followed all of our instructions.”

“Ireland did just amazing with my 3 kitties! They absolutely loved her and she kept me updated the whole time with the best photos of my babies! She even spent a lot of time playing with them and giving them some love! I would recommend her to anyone looking to have a pet sitter, especially for kitty cats! ☺️”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 15 years old and have experience watching over seven dogs for four different families on more than a dozen occasions. I genuinely enjoy giving each dog the attention, care, and playtime they deserve. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, overnight care, or simply someone to play with and keep them company, I would love to help. I’ll treat your dog with patience, kindness, and the same care I would want for my own pet. I am currently attending college to become a Respiratory Therapist. Alongside of my schooling, I enjoy working as a pet professional here on Rover as I seek to help walk, care, and build relationships with my clients and their pets. I always walk the pets I care for with intentionality and complete attention. I never walk someone’s pet with distractions. I never text or scroll on my phone. I always seek to be aware of my surroundings and desire to keep your pet safe and sound along the entirety of the walk.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I could remember. They’ve always held a special place in my heart. I offer flexibility like no other, as I work from home for my day job. Let me treat your animals the way i’d treat mine, nothing but love and respect! I currently work a hybrid schedule. Some days i’m in the office until 4pm, monday and fridays I work from home, leaving me tons of time to look after your animals! Weekends are typically free. I’m also very flexible on what I offer. You need a house sitter for a getaway weekend? I’m your guy! You need a drop in for bathroom break/walk during the week, I’m your guy! I have a fully fenced in backyard with a very good amount of space. I have 2 cats that love all animals. If i’m coming to your home, it will be treated with the same respect and standards I have for my own. Very clean, safe, and trustworthy!
“Isabel was fantastic!! I was nervous about leaving my cats for two weeks, but she took care of them so well and I felt very at ease thanks to her! She arrived to the meet and greet with her own special forms to take notes, was extremely detailed, and so sweet with the kitties :) Would definitely book again in the future!!”

“Sandy and Boss hit it off immediately. Her calm demeanor was nice and inviting to him. She followed our instructions and arrived on time with respect for our dog, and property. Thank you Sandy we will be sure to hire you again.”

About: I’ve lived in houses with pets my whole life ranging from dogs of all different breeds, cats, bunnies, and goats :) I have a lot of love for animals. I have a flexible schedule so most days I should be available! I take extra care and consideration for every owner that allows me to sit in their house. I follow the instructions given to me as well as leave everything the way I found it. I wash and put away everything I used during my stay. And of course I will give your pets all the love I have!!🩷

“I asked to drop in and let my 90lb Lab out during lunch times. She sent pics and updated me on how he was doing. She did a great job and I know gave my doggie some extra loving while we were gone. Absolutely will recommend to anyone and will request her again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Xenia. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
