About: Hi, I’m Maya! I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life—dogs, cats, and even horses—and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I started pet sitting for neighbors and family friends around age 15, and since then, I’ve gained years of hands-on experience with pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities. About: Animals have always been a central part of my life, as I grew up in a pet-loving household where we cared for everything from hamsters and turtles to multiple dogs, guinea pigs, ferrets, and even fish. I’ve also volunteered both formally and informally with local SPCA chapters and animal shelters from a young age, helping to walk, feed, and care for dogs of a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have hands on experience with dogs who need extra attention and medical care. I've raised two dogs from puppyhood—my current dog, Sophia, and a pit bull my family had previously—and have done everything from potty training to leash work and daily routines. Sophia is diabetic and blind, so I’m no stranger to giving insulin shots, monitoring glucose levels, and understanding how to be patient and calm with pets who have special needs or anxiety. Whether it's caring for seniors, puppies, or pets with health conditions, I always aim to treat them like family because that’s exactly what they are. I am currently on break from school at the University of Delaware, so my schedule is pretty flexible. Preferably, I am available after 10:00 AM and before 8:00 PM. For overnights, I will stay with your pet for 12 hours (start/end depends on animals schedule) and do one drop in during the mid day. Reach out to me for additional care options (constant care, additional visits, etc.)! When I care for pets through walks or drop-in visits, I approach each home and animal with respect, patience, and awareness. I know every pet has their own personality, boundaries, and needs, so I'll never assume anything upon first meeting. I take time to observe their behavior, let them come to me at their own pace, and make sure we’re both comfortable before jumping into getting close and personal. This also helps me gauge what kind of interaction they’re ready for and to prioritize safety—for your pet and for myself—by staying alert to their body language, keeping a calm energy, and never rushing trust. I will follow any specific instructions you give closely, especially if your pet has particular sensitivities or routines. I also take practical steps on walks, like avoiding overly stimulating routes or unknown dogs, and I’m always careful with things like leashing, doors, or feeding to avoid stress or accidents. I recently earned a certificate from the American Red Cross in Pet CPR and First Aid, so I am prepared even for the worst situations (which I hope I never will have to be 😅).

About: Hi! My name is Joelle and I live and work in Wilmington, DE. My partner and I currently have four cats and a beagle/corgi mix! I’ve been pet-sitting dogs and cats for family, friends, neighbors and Rover clients for over 14 years and can’t imagine doing anything else with my free time! I am able to care for and have previous experience with up to 6 animals at a time. I'm currently offering drop-in care and dog walking services, with very limited availability for house sitting. References are available for anyone that is interested and I’d be happy to discuss making adjustments to the services/schedules I have listed if they don't match you or your pet’s specific needs. I work full-time and have a pretty flexible hybrid schedule. Most of my weeks are 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home and these days can be moved around as needed - especially to accommodate house sitting requests! While my work from home days change from week to week, I usually try to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays. For Mondays-Wednesdays when I am in the office I typically have the following availability (with some flexibility): Before 8:00am 12:00-1:00pm After 4:00pm If you feel like I would be a good fit for you and your pets but aren't sure if the schedules would line up well, please reach out! I am happy to switch my in-the-office days with work-from-home days if needed :) My goal while your pet is in my care is to create a relaxing and stress-free environment for them. I prefer to care for animals in their own home so that they are in an environment they are familiar with while also being surrounded by their favorite toys/things. I’m also big on routine and positive reinforcement! In my opinion, following the same routine as normal helps reduce stress on your pet while you’re away and I’m more than happy to recreate those routines for them.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for many years and trained our beautiful lab from six months old by attending regular sessions which I really enjoyed. I am used to administering medications if needed and would love to look after your fur baby! I’m a stay at home Mom of two so while the children are at school mon- fri I am available & also available on weekends! I look forward to feeding, playing and giving your fur baby lots of fuss as well as walks. I am happy to help with crate training too if needed.

About: Through out my life I have owned two senior dogs who required extra love and attention. I have trained and worked with puppies as well. I am currently available weekdays at anytime throughout the day. I can do morning or evenings. I can not wait to play with your dogs! I have experience watching fur babies in clients homes. About: I am a dog lover! I have been around dogs my whole life and have my own golden retriever named Buddy. I love to take dogs to the park on walks while making sure they get plenty of water and stay cool. I have flexibility to work from home which allows me to spend more time with the pups. I have time to step away for walks as needed throughout the day. I will make sure your dogs are never put into a dangerous situation. I will also make sure they are drinking enough water and staying cool on the hot days.

I used to dog sit for a family that had 3 dogs- 2 Australian shepherd mixes, and a Chihuahua. Another family who has 2 labs & a different family who has an English bulldog. I’m looking to add more to my list ! I’m currently a summer nanny so I have flexible availability during the week and completely open on the weekends!
