“I appreciate all the pictures of Hazel having a blast at Jerry’s house. I especially appreciate her being able to socialize with other dogs there. I know she loves that.”

“Shelley is absolutely amazing! We feel so lucky to have found her to care for our dog, Opie. She truly loves him and treats him like a king every time he stays with her. Opie always comes home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for, and he gets so excited every time he gets to see Shelley again! It gives us such peace of mind knowing Opie is with someone who genuinely cares about him and treats him like her own. Shelley is dependable, loving, attentive, and simply the best. We could not recommend her more highly to anyone looking for someone they can completely trust with their furry family member. Opie absolutely adores her, and so do we!”

“Anniyah was absolutely amazing with my puppy, Hexton! From start to finish, she was incredibly communicative with me, providing regular updates that kept my mind completely at ease while I was away. It is so clear how much Hexton loves her, and she took such wonderful care of him. I highly recommend booking Anniyah if you want top-tier care for your pet. I will definitely be booking her again in the future!”

“A+++ amazing. I haven't used Rover before, and definitely never left with someone who wasn't friends or family, so I wasn't quite sure how he'd be, and I was afraid of worst case scenarios. Heather put all my fears to rest immediately on meeting her. She has a way with animals, and a calm and reassuring demeanor that both I and George appreciated so much. George isn't much of an "adventure" dog, so when I go on my next adventure, I know exactly who I will contact to care for him!”

About: I live in Whitehouse with my husband Casey and our 2 little dogs Parker and Wally. We both work from home full time, which leaves us with plenty of availability to have dog friends come stay with us! We go walking regularly, have a secure yard, and our house is very dog friendly. Both my husband and I work from home full time, so we are home all day long. We are able to accommodate regular potty breaks in our large fenced backyard, and typically do walks in the morning or evening. I have lived in Whitehouse my entire life and am very familiar with the surrounding neighborhoods. I am very careful with my own dog (never unleashed, supervised backyard time) and will do the same with others pets. We treat our dogs and other dogs like family, ensuring the dogs are comfortable and safe when at our home.

“Monica was very easy to work with. Kali, one year old English Cocker, is very attached to just us as we travel a lot for our job. She was a bit tentative but Monica worked with her and took great care of her. By the time we picked up Kali from the long weekend I’m not sure she wanted to come home with us. Would use Monica again if we need a Sitter.”

“Susan did an amazing job helping us through the whole process. She kept us up to date about our dogs status and even sent us pictures! I highly recommend her!!! She has her own crates and recommends bringing their favorite thing for comfort. Love that!!”

About: I've been around many different types of dogs my entire life. I've had Boxers, English Bulldogs, Corgis, Aussies, Maltese, and currently a Golden Retriever! With all that experience I know the health and exercise requirements of many breeds. Tucker, my Golden Retriever, is in perfect health and maintains perfect weight for his large size. I care for my dogs as if they are my child and promise to do the same with yours. I currently work from home. Tucker, my Golden Retriever, is home with me all day and gets his needed attention plus some that he probably doesn’t want. Tucker roams free all day and plays outside. He is an extremely sweet 16 month old Golden Retriever that has lots of energy and loves to play. If your dog loves to play, he will be Tucker's best friend.
“Linda did an excellent job while keeping my dog on vacation. He really enjoyed his time there and she took care of him just as well as I would! I would definitely recommend Linda as she receives a 10 star rating from me! I will most definitely use her for future boarding!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
