“Tracy was great with our dog Bo. He now has a new extended family. Her communication was great she is very responsive and kept in touch with us while we were out of town through pictures and text. Really 5 stars are not enough for the attention and care she provided while taking care of Bo. I would highly recommend Tracy and will use her again.”

“Heather is the lady you want to watch your pet. My 7 month old dog had a great time. She had playmates, great care, & lots of attention. I was kept up to date on her daily activities with photos. I think my dog would rather live there with all the activities & attention she had. LoL I highly recommend Heather. She’s a very nice & sweet person along with great pet caring skills.”

About: I’m an experienced professional pet sitter and the owner of my own pet sitting business, Side by Side Pet Sitting. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities, as well as farm animals including horses and chickens. My experience includes drop-in visits, overnight care, boarding, feeding, walking, medication routines, enrichment, and caring for pets with different temperaments and individual needs. I’m comfortable with everything from small companion dogs to large breeds, multi-pet households, and animals that need a little extra patience and attention. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with both your pets and your home. I treat every animal in my care like they’re my own and make sure owners receive regular photo and text updates so they can feel comfortable while they’re away. I’m also privately insured and take pet care seriously, while still making sure your pets get plenty of love, attention, playtime, and companionship. 🐾 I work from home and can either take work with me or go after work or in between breaks to help out with your babies. I would like to offer my referral code to help you get a small discount as well for new clients. ELIZAC28702, https://www.rover.com/sit/elizac28702 I am privately insured and am first aid and cpr certified for cats and dogs . I can easily come to you and let your babies enjoy the day in the safety and comfort of your own home reducing the stress of new environments and letting them enjoy what they already are familiar with while you are away.

“I can’t recommend Destine enough! She took such amazing care of Penny and treated her like she was her own. I got regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious that Penny was happy, comfortable, and well loved. I was a little nervous leaving my cat, but she completely exceeded my expectations. I’ll absolutely be booking with her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable!”

About: Veterinary-experienced pet sitter specializing in cats, senior pets, medications, and pets needing extra care. Injections, medications, and a little more love go a long way! I work full-time, but I have 2 cats as well, that would love to meet your pets! I would love spending my off days watching or keeping your pets too! I am well trained on medicines and foods. I’m good with crate training or anything else known before hand. My pets will be at my house, but they are very excited to see other animals. I can feed your food at request or what I have on hand!

About: I have plenty of free time to walk and play with your dogs and cats and keeping both you and them happy. My schedules are super flexible and I can housesit your pets whenever when you’re off to work. I can also bathe them if they have been playing in the backyard, rolling in the dirt, and gets too stinky. I do have two cats, the black one is named Happy and the orange one is named Teo. They are super sweet and I’m pretty sure our pets will get along super well! I will have a dance party with your little best friends. Oh fun fact about me is that I used to be the chaplain of FFA in high school, so I know a thing or two about animals. I’m currently working part time so I’ll have plenty of time to play and walk with your fur babies. I’m available most of the time, just shoot me a message! I currently don’t have any pets in my house, so it’s perfect if your fur babies are shy or don’t do well with other pets.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Old London home-away-from-home, packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Old London.

<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Old London sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
