“John and wife were amazing, super friendly, responsive and LUNA cane home super happy as opposed as previous times we let her in the veterinary boarding. Thank you so much!”
“Lisa is fantastic! She is so nice and treats my puppy like her own. She sends many pictures/videos which is nice to see when we are away. Between her own two dogs, a doggy door and a fenced in backyard, my pup has the best time and gets so much playtime! He gets plenty of loving and cuddles from Lisa and her family. When he comes home he is worn out and that is the best! I would recommend Lisa to anyone!”
“Brendan and his family made sure our pups were cared for and happy while we were on vacation. We appreciated his updates and wouldn’t hesitate to book him again!”
“Gabriel was great in taking extra steps to care for Coco while I was out of the country. He sent pictures and updates that put me at ease! He has a wonderful home and yard that my dog enjoyed. I definitely would recommend him for your animals stay. I knew Coco was safe.”
“Nicole has watched our pup Twyla now for years. She’s so easy going and clearly knows a ton about dogs. We love traveling and it’s so great to have such a competent and caring dog sitter for when we’re away.”
“Our dog Sammy had a great time at Melissa’s! He loved snuggling in their laps and having some fun doggy siblings to play with for the week. She kept me in the loop with what he was up to and took great care of him ☺️”
“Luna had a great time with Christina. Receiving the photos of Luna with a smile on her face was so reassuring to us while we were away on vacation. Luna had a wonderful time with Christina's children and their dog Rylee. Christina did a wonderful job. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Luna. I can tell she misses your family.”
“Once again Paisley’s second parents came through for us! Paisley has some health issues and not only did they give her all the meds (which were a bit complicated) they took daily walks. I’m sure she will be expecting those now that she’s home! 😂 Michael continued to send us pictures to let us know she was okay. She misses them I’m sure!”
“Patricia and her boyfriend take such good care of my little guy. He always loves going over and visiting their dogs. They take him on several walks each day and send lots of photos and video. I know he’s in good hands when I leave him with Patricia.”
“This is the first time we have ever boarded a fur baby in someone’s home. We were very nervous. Our dog has stitches and needed meds during his stay and Karin was able to accommodate his needs! She was also awesome at sending us pictures and updates. It was great seeing him having fun! We will definitely be using her again! We will even do some doggy daycare since our dogs are besties now!”
“Elisheba was wonderful with my dog. She gave me daily updates on how she was doing and sent me fun pictures of the adventures they had while I was gone. I highly recommend her as a sitter for your pet as she has a true love for animals and she will welcome them into her home and take care of them as if it was her own pet.”
“Have been sending Copper to them for years. They’ve always taken amazing care of him and are incredibly accommodating to changes in our travel. They respond quickly and Copper seems sad to leave every time.”
“Kayla is amazing with animals!!! She had Zeus for me when he was a little pup and he totally remembers her this past weekend! He’s way more to deal with but she handles him perfectly! Her patience is amazing!”
“Amanda was phenomenal. Fendi seems very happy having stayed with she and her family. She was even able to accommodate an extended stay due to work travel. Grateful for the care.”
“The best sitter we have met on Rover. Our Dachshund moped for days after coming back home... She definitely didn't miss us during vacation as much as we missed her! Lots of pictures and videos during the stay provide peace of mind that your dog is receiving the best possible treatment. We feel very fortunate to have found Teah on Rover and we'll rebook without hesitation.”
“Chris and his family were awesome! Chris communicated very well during the booking process and gave updates during Max’s stay. Max had a great time especially with the kids and came home tired from all the fun. Thanks Chris!”
“Jennifer was amazing! She sent pictures of Bella and she didn’t do too many so it was perfect. Great spot, great home and I would take Bella back again. 10/10 perfect sitter :)”
“Tiny came home super happy and of course tired, right after I left him on their doorstep, I knew he was going to be just fine, the chemistry betweenthen and the dogs is awesome. Rachel and Nick kept me update all weekend on how Tiny was doing and sent pics. I'm very happy to found them.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Woodsdale Park home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Woodsdale Park.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Woodsdale Park sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
