“With the right sitter, I think having our dogs stay in a person's home is significantly less stressful than staying in a standard boarding kennel. This was definitely the case with Amanda and her family. Our boys, Mack (a doberman) and Luke (a Miniature Schnauzer), did very well there and got along well with their family dog and cats. Mack had some intestinal problems while we were out of town and Amanda went the extra mile to make sure he was well cared for and recovered without issue. She also provided regular updates on our boys even though we had no expectation of this, which was great. When I came to pick the dogs up, I saw them lounging in the front room before they knew I was there. They looked right at home. We wouldn't hesitate to have Amanda take care of our boys in the future.”

I have a flexible schedule this summer which allows me to provide reliable walks, drop ins, and visits throughout the week. When caring for pets, I always try to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. Whether I’m in your home or taking your dog for a walk, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important communication is, so I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
About: I’ve taken care of my own menagerie of pets since I was a girl ranging from reptiles, rodents, small parrots, cats and dogs. Through college I volunteered on a horse farm where I cleaned and helped take care of 10 horses, also worked at a local pet store for 10 years as a floor manager and excelled in animal husbandry. In addition I worked part time as a veterinary assistant. I’m a dedicated, responsible, hardworking Momma of two wanting to share my passion for animals with others. I keep a variety of animals, book me for your reptile/small animal/aviary needs by selecting “cat” and let’s chat about what you need done while your away. I am currently home throughout the week and have a fairly open availability depending on your specific needs. Reach out and let’s chat. If I can’t help you I will let you know. I am responsible for 3 tortoises, 8 snakes, a few rats, a handful of leopard geckos, freshwater fish tanks, chameleons, dogs, a cat and let’s not forget my two babies. Keeping pets is my hobby and I’m passing this along to my young ones. Gone all day and have a new puppy that needs more attention. I’ve been there and can offer walks with BASIC obedience. My dogs have all received their good citizen award from attending training classes. Let’s chat!

“With the right sitter, I think having our dogs stay in a person's home is significantly less stressful than staying in a standard boarding kennel. This was definitely the case with Amanda and her family. Our boys, Mack (a doberman) and Luke (a Miniature Schnauzer), did very well there and got along well with their family dog and cats. Mack had some intestinal problems while we were out of town and Amanda went the extra mile to make sure he was well cared for and recovered without issue. She also provided regular updates on our boys even though we had no expectation of this, which was great. When I came to pick the dogs up, I saw them lounging in the front room before they knew I was there. They looked right at home. We wouldn't hesitate to have Amanda take care of our boys in the future.”

I’m also a mom of two girls who are both in school (elementary and middle school), so my daytime schedule is fairly consistent. I occasionally work evenings outside of the home, but I plan my schedule around my pet-sitting commitments and make sure every pet gets the care, attention, and routine they need. Since I have a pup of my own I’m already used to keeping a consistent routine and making time for plenty of exercise, play, and cuddles! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a privacy fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy some fresh air, playtime, and exercise. I provide a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment where pets can relax and feel at home. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs, routines, and personality, and I always take the time to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, and care I give my own pup!
