“Nicole was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my cats while I was away and gave me complete peace of mind. She kept me updated with photos and messages, and it was obvious they were in caring, capable hands. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and everything just as I left it. I truly appreciate the attention and love she gave them. I would recommend Nicole to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you again!”

“Sadie was wonderful. She agreed to watch my cats within a week of the booking, made time to come meet them prior, and took great care of them during. She communicated with me throughout and sent a lot of pictures. A very reliable pet sitter!”

“Shelby was wonderful. You can tell how much she loves doing this. I’m sure if our dogs could speak they would ask to see Shelby everyday. We would love have Shelby care for our pets again. Highly recommended.”

About: Hi! My name is Ash and I am excited to be able to have the opportunity to provide love and care to your fur babies. Since I was young I grew up in a household with dogs, mostly pits (& one corgi). At the moment, I have my sweet pitbull Penny who is a spoiled happy girl. When you entrust your pets to me, you can rest assured that they'll be treated as if they were my own. I can provide regular updates on your pet's while also ensuring they get the love, care, play, exercise, and the cuddles they need! I'm currently in online school, so I'll have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I’m not able to provide boarding because of my sweet baby, however, I am able to walk, drop in, or stay overnight! To provide the upmost care for your pets, I can ensure they have a consistent routine that includes potty breaks every 2 hours, access to fresh water and food, a safe environment, and plenty of attention and play time! I also will maintain open communication with you regarding any concerns or changes in your pets behavior. I’m currently in online school for my Medical Assistant (MA) license, which gives me a very flexible and open schedule. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets throughout the day, including walks, drop-ins, and extended care when needed. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I create a calm, secure environment and closely follow your instructions to maintain their normal routine. I’m attentive to behavior changes, careful with leash and home safety, and always respectful of your space. You can trust that your pet will be cared for responsibly and treated with patience, love, and consistency.
“This is our third time booking Michael to care for our two cats while we were gone for 8 days. As always, Michael took excellent care of our babies, making sure to send us lots of pictures and updates each day! We are so glad we found Michael as we know our kitties are in good hands while we are away!”

“Amanda visited my cats 2x a day. They were well fed and played with. Would recommend to anyone looking for help with their cats while on vacation. She also went up and beyond by watering plants and bringing mail inside.”

About: I have several pets of my own. Over the years I have volunteered with shelters as well as taking care of my own animals. I have dealt with bigger dogs, small dogs, and lots of cats! I love animals and will do whatever I can to ensure a happy and healthy environment! I currently work part time over the summers in Pennsylvania and go to school in Ohio over the rest of the year. I can work in both places, it just depends on what time of year. My account will have my area provided for which one for whichever time of year. Normally I have a 8 hour shift, I do have a couple days off a week and still have plenty of time before and after work to take care of animals. I also have my lunch break. I will follow whatever instructions are provided by the client. I will stick to any dietary needs, exercise needs, and any attention needs the animal has. I am willing to clean litter boxes if it is a cat and obviously I will pick up after a dog on a walk. I keep a very close eye on the animal(s) and make it my primary focus when taking care of them.
“Our cats Benny and Charlie are usually very shy around strangers, but Natalie had a magical touch! She was incredibly patient, gentle, and took the time to make our fur babies feel safe. Coming home to happy, relaxed cats is the best feeling. They clearly love Natalie as they have been waiting and watching for her since our return home. Natalie is reliable, highly communicative, and incredibly conscientious. I felt 100% confident that our babies were in the best hands! We highly recommend her to any further baby parent.”

“Victoria is the best! She is very receptive and attentive. Super sweet with my Puppy, which means she is a great person. Nala loved her walks with her and we can’t wait to see her again :)”

“Kathleen was amazing! I’ve had issues with my littlest being so nervous he won’t eat or gets so worked up with ANYONE ELSE we’ve had watch him, but he took to her right away and I was so relieved! She took wonderful care of him and our lab and took great care of our other animals and even filled our pond for us while we were away. We’ve tried a few people and she’s by far been our favorite and would recommend her to anyone in the area- she gave detailed updates and was so caring!”

“Sitter kept in touch with us while we were out of town. I feel due to my long work hours and the Reno at our home, I could have provided more concise info. Caroline can be quite a challenge and it seems sitter did well. I feel the cost of ?70 + was high and actually the highest we have ever paid. (1/2 hr for 2 dogs).”

“Sydney took great care of our kitties while we were away! Our cats can be particular with their people, so it was great to hear the updates and see the photos of our cats and Sydney getting along. They were absolutely well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend.”

About: I’ve had considerable experience with cats and dogs — over 50 years of being around them — and I now share my home with three cats. I’m now starting to offer pet care as a way to earn money, and I’ll come to your place for drop-in visits, overnight stays, and house sitting. I’m also open to caring for other pets. I’m a calm, patient person, and animals really respond to that energy. When I arrive, I make enough noise so pets aren’t startled, then I spend a minute talking with them and reading how they’re feeling before feeding, litter breaks, potty breaks, or play — whatever they need at that moment. I’m comfortable giving shy pets the time they need to warm up. I don’t have much experience with special needs care, but I’m happy to handle meds or anxiety with a steady, reassuring approach. If a dog barks, I’ll soothe them with a calm voice; if they pull on the leash, I’ll pause until they settle; if a pet’s shy, I’ll let them come to me. My schedule is flexible and I can work around your dates, including weekends and holidays. People often tell me they appreciate my calm, thoughtful approach — it helps my pets feel safe and at ease. I’d love to meet your cat or dog! IMPORTANT- I am flexible. 😊 I will do my best to accommodate reasonable requests. We will discuss details when I come to meet your pet(s). My schedule is flexible since I’m retired. I can work around your schedule, or adjust my own to fit what your pet needs. I do have a couple evening meetings each month, and I’m busy on Sunday mornings. So grateful for Victoria's help in dropping in on my kitty while I was out of town! Not only was she so graciously able to take the booking on kind of late notice, but she's also clearly SO good with cats, as my notoriously shy boy was walking right up to meet her within minutes :) Great photos and thoughtful communications while I was away, and such a sweet note left for when I got back. I'd happily book Victoria again!

Tandi is a wonderful person and pet sitter. She has checked in on my 2 kitties many times over the last couple of years. Tandi has a strong sense of service and cares deeply for my kitties and home. She is thoughtful, sweet, reliable and overall a 5 star pet sitter on every level! Thank you, Tandi!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodridge Estates. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
