At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess. About: Originally from upstate NY, I spent time working as a professional veterinary assistant in Atlanta, GA while in school. In this role, I worked directly under a veterinarian to monitor, clean, and provide medical check-ups for dogs at local pet centers, while also providing care for other animals at a boarding and daycare resort. With this hands-on experience, I am deeply familiar with dog health, sanitization, and administering medications. I enjoy spending time with dogs, understand how to spot early signs of illness, and know how to keep dogs on a fun and healthy routine. Since moving back to upstate NY, I do part-time work as a tech consultant from home. This allows me to give plenty of attention to your pet, while also providing plenty of outdoor activities. My wife also works from home, which allows her the flexibility to help as well. Our house is situated right next to the D&H Canal trail, and we take regular walks on a daily basis.Whether your dog is a growing puppy who needs attentive care or an older dog who requires a reliable, experienced handler, my top priority is maintaining their health, safety, and happiness while you are away. My wife and I both work part-time from home, which gives us highly flexible schedules to prioritize your pet's care throughout the week. Our daily routine naturally includes multiple walks along the scenic D&H Canal trail, which directly borders our property. Because our work keeps us at home, guest pets enjoy consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of playful companionship. Our home sits far back from the road at the end of a long driveway, offering a very quiet, safe environment. We sit on 10 acres of land, featuring 3 groomed acres for supervised play and 7 acres of private woods. While our yard is only partially fenced, we have two large, fully enclosed decks that are completely fenced in—perfect for safe sunbathing, lounging, and secure outdoor activities. We also utilize a collapsible fence that we can pull out and set up to create customized secure boundaries if necessary. For exercise, dogs are strictly supervised and kept on-leash as we head down the driveway to our private access point for the D&H Canal trail, keeping them completely away from traffic.

About: I have been taking care of animals of all kinds for over 10 years! I have been doing it professionally for 5+ years as my full-time gig. I work full-time Monday through Friday, but am not new to early mornings or late night stops. So if it is an early morning run they need or a late night snuggle session, I can make it happen! I am comfortable giving oral meds and injections so that your pet gets everything they need while you are working or away. Let me know what helps your pet feel most comfortable and happy and I will make it happen! I am currently working full-time Monday through Friday 9-5 with weeknights/early mornings wide open. So stops to check on, feed, or just play and snuggle with your best friend before or after work are my specialty! Weekends I also have availability to make multiple stops and ensure everyone's needs are met. Holidays are also usually fair game for me to help since my family is pretty close to home! I keep the site up to date almost daily so that you can be sure that your days/holidays are free for me to help! I have a very friendly dog and two lovable cats in my home that love new friends. Inside, I provide a cage-free, home-style environment. Guest dogs have free roam of my home and are treated like part of the family rather than being kept in kennels. I will use a crate if an owner requests it because that is what their dog is accustomed to at home. I accept dogs of all sizes and personalities and take time to learn about each dog’s temperament, routine, habits, and individual needs before their stay. I limit boarding to a maximum of three guest dogs at a time so I can provide close supervision and personalized attention. With more than 15 years of dog-boarding and care experience, creating a safe, loving, and comfortable environment is always my priority. About: I have always been an animal lover. As a kid, I had a guinea pig and a dog, and I spent a lot of my time at a farm, riding and caring for horses. Aside from taking care of my family dog, I have looked after the pets of friends and acquaintances. I have experience with both dogs and cats. I have volunteered in animal shelters and sanctuaries, and previously worked with a dog groomer, bathing and drying dogs. I work a part-time 11am-5pm job, mostly on weekends, along with some special events. I have quite a bit of flexibility with my schedule, so I can arrange it to fit with other responsibilities, such as pet sitting needs! I have a fenced yard, perfect for playing! I currently do not have any pets. I love to provide pets with the entertainment exercise they need, and I'm always happy to give cuddles if your pet likes physical affection, or space if they prefer to keep some distance.
