“Tiffani was so responsible and receptive to my “shy” guys. I was so relieved going out of town and using a new care person for the first time in four years to get the feeling that all was being done as if I were home. Takes a lot of pressure off the normal stress of being away from home.”

“Definitely took care of my fur babies they were not anxious when I got back home which is a relief. I only critic would be of the amount of times my door alerted me of in and out home alerts (not ones of taking out trash which makes me anxious) and would like more photos next time. But other than that kitty care 10/10. And like I said next time as in, I would have her take care of my babies again!💕 very sweet lady. Very responsive. And knows what’s she is doing.”

About: Hi there! My name is Jen and I want to help you make sure your fur babies are well taken care of and loved while you’re away! I’ve been pet sitting for a few years now and like many started out pet sitting for friends and family. In college, I started working with JN Care for Pets, a DC-based pet care company, where I cared for cats, dogs, and even reptiles! I’ve cared for a wide variety of dogs — from small dogs to high-energy large breeds and everything in between. Whether they tug on their leash or can jump to my shoulders, I want to make sure they still get to play outside and go for quality walks while you’re away. In addition to dogs, I’ve had plenty of experience with other animals, too! I have experience with both indoor and outdoor cats. I’ve fostered kittens as young as 4 months old, which included post-spay care for two female kittens. I also currently live at a cat sanctuary for shelter cats that were deemed “unadoptable”, and I frequently assist with feeding, socializing, and general care for both friendly and unfriendly cats. As everyone knows one of the toughest parts of working with cats is medications, and I have experience administering liquid and pill medication to three extremely uncooperative kittens, as well as assisting with flea preventatives for more than 20 cats. I even have experience with reptiles! Just because your pets isn’t a common type, doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve the same level of care as a cat or dog. I’m here to make sure their enclosure maintains proper conditions, they receive any medications needed, and they get their feed worms every night! Whether your pet needs a calm presence, lots of playtime, or special attention to medical needs, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I’m a young professional with a full-time day job, but it’s pretty flexible. I’m typically available morning before 8am and evening after 4pm, and on my lunch breaks if you’re in the Dover area. I can shift around my schedule a bit on an as needed basis. I want to make sure your pets have a loving environment while you’re away! I’ll make sure they have consistent access to food, water, medicine, walks, and playtime in line with their routine. I know firsthand how important routines can be for our furry friends, and will make sure they don’t have to lose their routine while you’re away.
“Christine did drop in visits for my cat, Chance. She took great care of him while I was away. She had great communication the whole time. I can home to a happy cat!”

“Maura did an excellent job. She cleaned the litter boxes and swept up around them. She washed the bowls and left everything very neat. We would absolutely hire her again. We would like to give her a $20 tip and say thank you very much. Jeanne and Bob Crossman”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 18, and for me this is more than a job, it’s truly a part of who I am. I have two dogs of my own (ages 8 and 3) who mean the world to me, so I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you can fully trust. I have experience giving medications and following care routines, as both of my dogs are on daily medications. I’m patient, attentive, and always make sure pets feel safe and comfortable, especially when they need extra care. I’ve also cared for senior dogs and understand the slower pace, extra gentleness, and attention they need. I treat every pet like my own, with love, patience, and calm energy so you can feel at ease knowing they’re in good hands. I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days and times. The only times I’m in class are Tuesday and Thursday mornings/afternoons, but I’m still available before and after school on those days. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and accommodate last minute needs whenever possible. Just let me know what works best for you, and I’ll do my best to make it happen! When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs. I make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and calm by giving them plenty of attention while also respecting their space. I keep their environment clean (food areas, litter boxes, accident cleanups if needed) and always double check doors, gates, and safety precautions. I also send regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax knowing your pets are happy and well cared for. I treat every home with respect and every pet like my own.

“Mike did a great job for us. We were away for an extended vacation. He kept us well informed about our cats but also things at our home. A neighbor left mail on our porch and an outdoor ornament blew off our house. He notified us on both issues. The ornaments were brought in and he checked our community mailbox to confirm our mail was being held by USPS. During our vacation we received a boil water notice; We informed Mike and he brought bottled water for our pets. It’s the second time we used him and I’m sure we will be using his services again.”

“Wonderful experience. My dogs loved Kara and she dod the best job caring for them while we were away. Overall a lovely animal lover amd we would be thrilled to work with in the future! Highly recommend!!!”

About: Hi, My name is Emily! I'm from Delaware and have done dog sitting through Rover.com for quite sometime now and love it. I also have 24+ years in professional pet care and over 30 years of friends and family pet care experience. I did a year with Rover before moving to Florida where I worked as a kennel technician, certified professional dog trainer, kennel supervisor and asst kennel manager. I also have a small amount of veterinary experience. I worked with a rescue and fostered dogs for a year. Since I’ve been back home and am a stay at home mom I have created my own successful insured business in the care and training of any and all dogs I absolutely love it! I also foster with Grass Roots Rescue and put on fun events for my clients doggos to help raise money. They are a blast. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my whole life. I have had a family dog as far back as I remember. My past has shaped my passion for the care and training of dogs. Dogs bring so much love joy loyalty honesty and devotion to life, who wouldn’t want to make it their career. About my yard My back yard is completely fenced in with a 6 foot privacy fence. We even have indoor and outdoor cameras as well as an entryway yard and gate for added security. There are many trees so it's pretty cool and shady on hot summer days and plenty of room to explore. And for all you senior pet owners we have a huge handicap ramp leading to my back kitchen door. If you want your dogs to play with others it will be supervised and I’ll give you a full report on how they did. We also go on pack walks daily, weather permitting. A tired dog is a good dog. Want a bath and nail trim before they go home? Just let me know and consider it done. My home is a bi or split level home and I have dedicated one level to my dog care business. Spacious private areas have been mapped out for any dog or family of dogs so they may eat their meals, take breaks and sleep in their own space. I have it set up this way in case there’s any pups who don’t like other dogs, if certain dogs don’t get along or owners who don’t want their dog around other dogs. On the other hand, if your dog is not enjoying their area we can and will make any special accommodations necessary to provide a fun and stress free stay. My options are extensive for every pet parent. My experience administering medication is extensive. I can give just about any medication. Including insulin if needed. My certifications include pet CPR and first aide and professional dog trainer. I have also attended and graduated from multiple Cesars Way courses. In Fort Lauderdale and his ranch in California. I am a stay at home mom. Most I am gone for a day is 2-4 hours to run errands or expedite a training consultation at a clients home. You dog will have their own spacious area, where they will sleep, eat and rest. I follow a schedule where your dog will be let out at least 5 times a day, to go for a walk or play outside or to go potty. But, if your dog is having trouble settling in and prefers to free roam, I can and will make any changes in accommodations to make them more comfortable. As far as dogs on the furniture. I go by what you tell me. If they are allowed at home then exceptions can be made to make sure they are comfortable.
“Lauren did an amazing job with Barkley ! She was perfect in all facets of her visit. Barkley was very comfortable having Lauren looking after him. I would recommend her any time !!”

About: I have been caring for my own pets for 8 years as well as people in my neighborhoods pets for about 5 years. I absolutely love animals and treat them as if they were my own. I am currently in school and work part time on campus in the evenings but I can still make time to look after your lovely pets! I have hours to spare between classes and would definitely do my utmost to ensure we both can reach to an agreement on time! There is not much fencing in my apartment complex, however there is a decent amount of space and grass to move around if your pet loves to walk! There is also a lake that we could stroll around for a some fresh air and a view.
