I’ve raised and loved Great Danes, golden retrievers, chihuahuas, and several cat breeds, so I’m comfortable with everything from big gentle giants to tiny divas. Pet care fits really naturally into my routine! I’m free all day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so I have plenty of time for longer visits, walks, or overnight stays. During the week, I get off work around 4:30 p.m. and can also stop by during my lunch break if needed. I’m flexible, reliable, and happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pets get the care and attention they deserve. When I’m caring for pets in someone else’s home, I do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed in their own space. I stick to their usual routine, whether that’s a morning walk, cuddles on the couch, or just quiet company, and follow any instructions you leave to a T. I treat your home with the same care and respect I’d want for mine, and I’ll always keep you in the loop with sweet updates and photos. About: I've had a lot of experience watching dogs and cats for many family members and friends. I also have experience working at an animal shelter for many months. I'm confident in my abilities to handle any kind of temperament and create a comfortable environment for every pet! When I have done drop-in visits for pet sitting, I like to do up to three visits each day. Morning, early afternoon, and evening are the times I typically try to check in. With each visit, I follow their food schedule, take dogs for potty breaks (and/or check cat litter boxes), spend a good amount of time playing with each pet, and cleaning up before leaving. At a client's home, if there isn't a yard for their dog(s) and they need time outside, I typically map out a trail for walking/potty breaks. Before taking any action, I like to ask the owner's preference on their pets' comfortability in where they walk or spend their time.

Pet safety, comfort, & happiness are my top priorities-always. In my home pets are treated like family, with cozy spaces to relax, regular playtime, & routines to help them feel secure and loved. I maintain a clean, pet friendly environment and tailor each day to fit their individual needs. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I take the same attentive approach: following instructions closely, keeping schedules consistent, & making sure pets feel calm & cared for, even when their owner’s are away. For anxious pups, I bring extra patience & calm energy. I avoid overwhelming stimulation, offer gentle reassurance & give them time to adjust at their own pace. Whether it’s using their favorite toy, a scent from home, or simply sitting nearby, I focus on what makes them feel safe. I’ve found that a steady routine & lots of positive reinforcement go a long way in helping nervous dogs build trust and relax.

About: I’ve been a pet owner my entire adult life. I grew up with dogs and raised three of my own. I was a foster parent for Secondhand Hounds before adopting two of my own rescues. I’ve also raised animal lovers and my daughter is currently attending Cornell to become a veterinarian. I’m an awesome photographer and you’ll likely come away from the experience with some great photos of your furry family member. I currently work full-time, until June, when I am retiring from owning a daycare. Until then, I’m available evenings and weekend. Starting in the summer, I will be wide open for extensive pet sitting. I have a fenced in yard for my dogs, but am familiar with invisible fence dog security and love long dog walks around the neighborhood.
