I try my best to stay put as I enjoy giving the most care and attention to your fur babies. Because I don’t currently have pets of my own, your pet becomes my sole priority and receives my 100% undivided attention. In your home, I focus on maintaining their established routine to keep them stress-free. Whether it’s high-energy walks and active play or simply hanging out in their space to provide a calm presence, I adapt to their vibe. I’m happy to offer a 'hands-on' approach for cuddlers or a hands-off approach for more independent pets, and I am always flexible with special accommodations to ensure they feel safe and cared for.

About: Hi my name is Kayla, I’ve lived here in San Antonio for 8 years before that I lived in Laredo with a family of Pitbulls. Mom, dad, and all of their babies. I have had a lot of experience owning many different animals including dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and turtles. About: I've been working with animals for almost 10 years. I was a veterinary technician in private practice and currently work at an animal shelter. I'm fear free certified and have a range of experience from healthy, medical needs, and seniors. I'm comfortable administering medications and providing medical care. I work well with scared and nervous pets and make sure their time is stress free as possible. I also have personal and professional experience with pocket pets and aquarium pets. I work full-time but I make sure to plan accordingly for your pets needs. I have an extra bedroom that they can stay in, if not comfortable having them around other pets. I also have a kennel if they need down time or like to have a safe space to decompress in. I have 3 days off during the week and those days will be filled with multiple walks, play sessions, and anything else that will make their stay comfortable. I have a fenced yard and my 3 dogs love playing and taking walks throughout the neighborhood. I have a separate room and/or a kennel for any pet that's not comfortable or needs additional time to decompress.

“Katie, her wife, and their three four-legged assistants are such an amazing team! I can be a helicopter pawrent but I knew that my pup was in safe, knowledgeable, and loving hands off the bat. Katie sent photos throughout the service and my pup was having tons of fun all the way until pick-up. They have a large yard for the pups to sunbathe in and run around. We spoke at the end of the service and they gave me a run down of how everything went and I greatly appreciated that especially since it helps me get to know how my pup is while I’m away. Overall, my pup had a great time and I had a peace of mind while I was away from him. They are the sweetest humans and pups!”

About: I have cared for many animals at once. Big and small. Spastic and calm. Very young and very old. Although, no two pets are just the same so I will take the time to ensure all the effort is correctly put into caring for your pet's needs. It helps that I grew up on a farm and my Dad was an Animal Control Officer my whole life who constantly used everyday life as a learning opportunity. He taught me from a very young age how to have a meaningful bond with all animals through trust- a two way street. I am currently making time for pet care every day. She has lots of enriching and brain developing activities through the day and of course lots of play! I recently registered Roly-Poly, my girl in the pictures, as my therapy animal and started training her according to the US Service Animal standard. I plan my days around their needs whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply keeping them company. It’s important to me make sure every pet feels loved and attended to while their family is away. I carefully follow each pet’s usual routine including feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and any special instructions to help keep their experience as stress-free as possible. I have a dog-friendly yard for outdoor time with plenty of space for crates, cages, or litter boxes if needed. I have multiple rooms available in my home for pets who may need a quiet separate space to gradually get comfortable before interacting with other pets or exploring the home.
