About: I've been a dog mom for as long as I can remember. I was available for friends and coworkers in Houston to check in on dogs when their families would go out of town. I've fed dogs, played with them, provided medications and taken dogs on walks (unless it’s too hot). I enjoy spending time with puppers. My house has a big backyard with plenty of shade for dogs to roam around and play chase! We have closed every crack and crevice so no small dog can escape. 😊 I've have hosted several dogs before and I know I will be a loving companion to your best friends. I have a basset hound who is very friendly. She's 2 years old and very playful. She's known to push boundaries from time to time, but quickly backs off if dogs want to be left alone. She is skittish or scared of bigger dogs at first but overall, she would love the company of your furry friend. I am a teacher so I am available most of the summer and Christmas break to watch dogs. I usually follow the same schedule my hound has. Dogs stay with us in our bedroom. We let them out in the morning but we always accompany them since we think supervision is best. Then we feed them based on time/schedule and for playtime, we either go outside and throw a frisbee or we play fetch in the living room/foyer. We have our hound pretty disciplined so we try to get dogs to listen to commands for treats. I have a fenced yard where dogs can run around and play. My basset hound is very playful and has never shown aggression. She is fixed and very well behaved. She is disciplined and will listen if she needs to back off. Her favorite is tug of war and doing zoomies! I can take dogs on morning walks if it’s not too hot. Dogs are able to chill in the living room in the evening and enjoy the occasional bone/treat when well behaved. (if allowed.)

About: I am a disabled veteran continuing my education as an EMT/Paramedic. I have experience with all pets, not just dogs! I have been raised with dogs my whole life, and I’m an absolute animal lover. I attended a career program as a veterinarian technician in 2011. I also currently have five dogs and a cat of my own. I have a Great Dane, two pit bulls, and a redbone coonhound. I am now a 100% stay-at-home mom to my seven-year-old when she is not at school. While she is at school and I have free time while I’m not studying, I like to get out and walk. Thank you for considering me! I currently walk two doggies regularly that love me and get excited to see me. I would be heartbroken without pets in my life. They bring so much joy to my life and my heart. I am available Tuesday-Friday. I can occasionally walk on Mondays and some weekends. Again, I have a seven-year-old, so sometimes my weekends are crazy. I watch my dogs closely while at my house to ensure safe playtime. I take them outside and play for at least 30 minutes 2-3 times daily. I have a fenced-in backyard that I always tell people is for my dogs, not us. I have no grass due to them running and playing back there. We have several outside toys explicitly made for outdoor play. I would treat your babies just the same as I would treat mine. I believe pets are family and should be treated as such. I would be devastated if something ever happened to one of my pets.
