About: I have been an avid dog lover since I was a child, growing up with many different types of dogs from very large to small. I have experience with bully breeds, doxies, Chihuahuas, bulldogs, and many more. I am a teacher through the school year and have weekends, spring and winter breaks, as well as summers free to spend time with people's furry friends. My home is very quiet, clean, and easy for most dogs to navigate. There are stairs but lots of space on our main floor to roam around and enjoy the comforts of home. There is a fenced in shaded area for potty time and play as well as lots of sidewalk areas for long walks in a quieter neighborhoods as well as a quick walk to the rail trail.

I grew up surrounded by pups of all kinds—big, small, young, senior, purebred, and rescue—so understanding their unique personalities and needs comes naturally to me. I’m a full-time nursing student with a flexible schedule and no other job, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets! Whether it’s daily visits, overnights, or just extra cuddles, I’m happy to fit into their routine. In My Home: I live in a pet-friendly apartment in a quiet neighborhood that’s great for walks. While my backyard isn’t fenced, I have a secure in-ground leash for safe outdoor time, and there’s also an open field nearby where pets can play using a 15ft leash if they enjoy more space. Inside, your pet will feel right at home with my super friendly dog and two curious (but respectful) kitties. I provide a cozy, supervised environment full of love, playtime, and attention based on your pet’s needs and personality. In Client Homes: I stick to your pet’s normal routine to keep things comfortable and consistent. I offer feeding, walks, medication if needed, playtime, and plenty of affection. I always treat your pet—and your home—with the same care and respect I give my own.

About: I have been proudly owned by dogs since I was 7 years old. I love dogs. My dogs. Your dogs. Everyone's dogs. I am currently the proud dogmom of a sweet, loving, mostly deaf, senior female Cocker Spaniel. PaTutti is almost 15 years old. She is a sweet old girl that sleeps most of the day. She was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. She's handling it like a champ. Seniors rock!! 🩷 I have rescued my last several dogs from my local animal shelter, and I especially love senior and special needs dogs. My two most-senior boys (both 15+ years old) peacefully crossed Rainbow Bridge over the past two years. And, I recently said goodbye to Trubby, who peacefully crossed Rainbow Bridge in October, 2024. We cannot let those we love the most suffer, no matter how much it breaks our heart to let them go. I'm experienced with diabetic dogs, (my blind English Setter was diagnosed diabetic at the age of 12; and, he lived to the ripe old age of almost 15) and I can administer insulin and other medications. I know all of the "pill-giving secrets." I am retired and have all day to love your dog and make them feel at home. Several of my rescued dogs have been seizure dogs, so I am also experienced with seizure events. I have a fenced-in yard and my lawns are always pesticide- and fertilizer-free. (I might have some dandelions, but they make the bees happy!) 🐝 I will gladly provide a 10% discount to all active duty military, veterans, and first responders. Please ask for your discount before you book, so I can modify your rate. (Proof of eligibility will be required. ) I do require that your dogs be fully vaccinated, including flea and tick topicals. And I would also like to meet your pet(s) before they stay in my care. (Since I have a senior dog of my own, I would like to assess the personalities of all new dogs coming into my home for boarding and day care.) I am home all day long. Dogsitting is my ONLY job. I will be able to give your dog(s) all of the love and attention they need. Your dogs will live in my home as one of my dogs. They are on my couch with me; they follow me from room to room; they hang around the kitchen when I'm cooking dinner. My house is their house. We all live together as one big happy family.

“Shadow and his family give Merissa five out of five paws! If you are looking for someone to spend less than two minutes with your pet, Merissa may not be the person for you. She stopped by roughly 30 minutes during each visit and made sure that Shadow wasn't lonely while we were on vacation. She sent multiple pictures to us every time she stopped over, even if he wasn't interested in having his picture taken. Most importantly to us, she didn't give up on him. The first couple days, he was somewhat apprehensive with someone new looking after him -- he didn't want to eat much or play (which is unlike him). On Day 3, Merissa was able to finally get him out of his funk and act like his playful self (as supported by pictures). Someone else may have just decided to not put in the effort and let our sleepy dog lie, but that wasn't the case with her! So, by all means, don't pick Merissa unless your pet is ready to have someone play with him or her while you are gone. If you want your pet to feel lonely, don't pick her, because she will make sure that your pet gets a lot of attention. And definitely don't pick her, if your pet is camera shy, because you will never have to wonder for too long how your pet is doing. However, if you want to make sure that your pet is cared for while you are away, you should consider booking her right away. Again, Shadow rates her five out of five paws and that is what really matters!”

About: My mom has 4 dogs and 7 cats animals have always been apart of my life from playful puppy’s and kittens to good old boys and grumpy old cats! I love connecting with them, we truly don’t deserve these companions. I am currently working full time but very flexible in my schedule, Additionally with my first child on the way I am willing to work anytime for additional income I will bring my own waste bags, along with treats for your pet as long as the owner is okay with me giving them treats. Additionally, I have toys for both dogs and cats to keep your pet entertained.

About: I’ve had a whole pack of different animals since I was very little. We’ve had cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents and fish. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages, from newborn to elderly. I currently have no pets, so I’d love to spend time with your fur babies! I’m currently on summer break, so I’m very open until school begins in August. During school, I’ll be available from Fri-Sunday, and limited times during the week! I’m always glad to have down time with animals. I always treat animals with the respect and love that they deserve, and am happy to follow any specific direction given. Each pet is unique and has their own set of needs, and I’m interested in knowing your pet’s needs so I can provide the best care possible! My personal pets are each fed on a schedule, and my puppy is taken out at minimum every hour and is given plenty of play time, inside and outside.

About: I've looked after my own pets for many years, kittens to senior cats. My family has relied on me to check in on their dogs and cats while out of town. I have experience with senior animals and puppies/kittens, as well as larger breeds and bully breeds. I enjoy taking animals on walks and am able to meet their needs as required. I'm available in the evenings after 5pm during the weekday, and at most times during the weekends. I work full time and am a graduate student as well. I am fully capable of following and respecting all tasks and guidelines set up for your home and your pet to ensure their comfort and safety while in my care.
