Kaylee did an amazing job pet sitting my cat Fluffy for 8 days! Highly recommend. She spent extra time with him, played with him, let him curl up with her for extra pets, brushed him, even brought a laser toy and extra treats! In addition to feeding and watering him. Sent pictures and a note everyday. I felt completely comfortable and assured that fluffy was in great hands. Will definitely have Kaylee pet sit again.

About: I have cared for and owned animals from dogs to reptiles my whole life! I have had years of experience with both small and large breeds as well as sick and elderly pets. Ived work in a veterinary emergency hospital and am also a local groomer, so I have lots of experience handling dogs of all types!! I am available all the time on Monday through Wednesday. Afternoons on Sundays I am open as well. Feel free to message me anytime about specific availability!! When I go for walks, I have a good-quality leash with traffic handles, as well as an e-collar, which I use for active recall. About: As a college student studying Zoology, animals and their care are more than a side hustle or a hobby: they’re my world. Apart from my academic coursework in animal care and welfare, I have more than eight years of personal care and volunteer experience with numerous animals, including but not limited to: cats, dogs, horses, rats and mice, hamsters, snakes, various types of lizards and amphibians, goats, chickens, sheep, cattle, and even invertebrates such as tarantulas and scorpions. Rest assured, I’ll never discriminate against your furry pal! I have experience giving oral medication, both liquid and pill, as well as insulin injections and subcutaneous fluids. I also have experience caring for elderly animals — like my 18 year old cat, Maya! I can provide feeding, brushing, hoof care, walking, exercise, medication, play time, turning out, litterbox cleaning and much more! I have a driver’s license and my own transportation, and my hours and pay are flexible. I am willing to drive 60-90 minutes depending on needs. As mentioned prior, I have extensive prior experience volunteering at various shelters, vets and farms assisting with animal care, as well as my own personal experience caring for a diverse array of pets. I am happy to gather recommendations from organizations I work with. While caring for your pet or pets, I will regularly keep in contact with you and update you with both text and photos (if desired), along with keeping a dedicated spreadsheet of feeding/watering/grooming times and overall health to guarantee your peace of mind. I am capable of providing pet care across a flexible schedule. I can provide early care from 6-9 AM in the morning and any time after 4:20 PM on weekdays, as well as 24 hour care on weekends and overnight stays if needed. I am able to care for pets in a wide variety of ways thanks to expensive experience. Walking, feeding, litter-box cleaning, playtime, as well as insulin/subcutaneous fluid injections are all possible. I can also administer medication orally. Daily checkups as well as overnight stays are both possible.

Emily did a terrific job for us. She was punctual, diligent and, most importantly, very kind to our pets. One of our cats is diabetic and requires shots twice a day. Emily followed all of the instructions for feeding and dosing him and his blood sugar was spot-on when we came home. I cannot say enough good things about Emily. We will gladly hire her again.

About: I’ve spent most of my life around animals, mostly cats and some time around dogs as well. I have more experience with smaller dogs. With communication and direction, I’m comfortable learning to care for the bigger animals. My main area of expertise is definitely cats! I currently am self employed and have very flexible availability, and am available for late nights as well as house sitting. As of September I have a very open schedule! I will always make sure your baby is safe, happy and comfortable. I pride myself in being able to tell when animals are in distress, and I will always accommodate what they need.

About: I grew up with two dogs since I was 7. Neighbors relied on me to walk, feed and play with their dogs. I worked at a pet store a few years ago which gave me experience with cat adoptions, caring for exotic animals, and customer experience. I currently work full time however I will have more than enough time to care for your pet in the evenings and on weekends when I am free. I promise your pet will feel loved and cared for when you are away. If your dog likes to play ball, tug, or run around. Your pet’s happiness is my priority.

Alyssa took great care of our cats, Misty & Fae over the Labor Day weekend. Misty requires prescription wet food and 2 medications (opened capsule & measured liquid) added to her food. Alyssa came for a meet & greet visit during the week before the weekend so she could meet the girls, see their environment & understand their food schedule & medication dosing schedule for Misty. She came for morning & evening feedings & sent us pictures from each visit. We knew they were in good hands while we were away. We will definitely call on her again! We highly recommend Alyssa!! Misty ? & Fae ? do too!

I had Jessica come by to let my puppy out for a potty break and a little playtime. She came by ahead of time so we could meet her and explain procedures. She was very prompt responding to me and sending me the rover updates on her visits. I would definitely use Jessica again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 2,129 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Windtree Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windtree Valley. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
