Heather is an amazing dog walker. We use her anytime we are unable to go home mid day to walk our dog Tyson. I have contacted her for short notice walks and I feel awful about it but she is very understanding and accommodating. We appreciate her a lot.

Alexa was great! She was super communicative and showed up on time every single day for a month to walk our two dogs while we were settling into a new house. She got them plenty of exercise each day, gave updates on how they did on each walk, adjusted walk lengths based on the weather and how much energy the dogs had each day, and overall was super attentive to each dog’s individual needs. Our boys are missing her already, and we will definitely be using her in the future!

About: I’ve watched several different sizes, breeds, and ages of dogs since I was 19 years old. I would love to be able to help care for your babies! I currently work as a nurse M-Th 730-5 and Friday 7:30-12. I have an aussiedoodle/border collie at home, during the work week he is let out before work, on my lunch break, and when I’m off. On the weekends he is let out more frequently. He is my buddy and goes everywhere with me, we go for frequent pup cups and park days when weather allows. I treat client pups as if they were my own. I will do whatever is needed to keep the pups and their owners happy ❤️

I especially enjoy caring for active, energetic dogs and making sure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I also have experience administering medications and caring for puppies who need extra patience, supervision, and consistency. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, or sticking to your pet’s routine, I am dedicated to treating every animal as if they were my own. This allows me to provide attentive care, regular walks, playtime, feedings, medication administration, and companionship throughout the day while keeping your pet’s routine consistent. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and routines. About: I don’t just watch dogs—I pay attention to them. As a dog owner myself, I know every pet has their own personality, routines, and quirks. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual. Whether your pup needs playtime, companionship, structure, or just someone who understands them, I’ll care for them the way I’d want my own dogs cared for. Basic experience in some training. I’m available after 4 pm most days and all day on weekends. I’ll have more availability starting in July! If you’re interested, ask and I’ll see if I can accommodate! I care for every pet according to their individual needs and routine. In my clients’ homes, I work to keep things as normal as possible by following feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and any household rules. I also provide plenty of attention, affection, and updates so owners can feel confident their pets are doing well. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, comfortable environment with supervised play, regular potty breaks, exercise, fresh water, and lots of companionship. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, energy level, and preferences so they feel secure and cared for while their family is away. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free, whether they’re in their own home or mine.

About: I’ve been in rescue for about 6 years now! I’ve fostered over 200 animals, whether it be dogs, puppies, kittens, cats, and even done hospice. I’m experienced in giving medication as well as neonatal care. I’d love to branch out in animal care and start caring for animals outside the shelter, which is why I’m here! :)) I have two dogs of my own Joey and Pickles they are the sweetest seniors. And my cat Joseph is the spunkiest kitty, they are my family! I currently work at home, with my hours up to me. I’d love to incorporate my love for animals as much as possible in my open schedule! I’m a rule follower, so whatever’s needed I’ll make sure it gets done. Walking w harness? No problem. Crating to feed? Roger that.

About: I’ve had dogs almost all my life. Along the way, I’ve had cats, fish, and horses and sat for birds—including chickens. During my time as a licensed massage therapist, I even studied and performed canine massage. I’m retired and have an open schedule to care for your pets as much or as little as they need. They miss you when you’re away and I’m here to help. Our pets need more than just food and water. I’m experienced with both high and low energy pets. I’m happy to play ball or give all the head scratches and tummy rubs your babies need.

I felt fortunate being able to get Kevin for Milo. Walking Milo requires some effort. I live in the hills in a private but rugged setting and using a leash is not practical. The majority of the walking path is rugged and steep. Most would not like it, but Kevin does and Milo really likes him. Kevin was generous with his time on the meet and greet and made sure he understood the situation.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
