About: I have grown up around pets my whole life and have always loved their company. At a young age I wanted to be a veterinarian so I can learn more of animals. Even though I did not take that route in my education I still have taken care of many pets with disregards to age range or personality. Coming from someone who has experience with a pet with an illness I know how important it is to insure their health and safety. I am solely focused on their need of comfort and safety in my care . I believe open communication and direction for the care of your loved ones is very important in this role. I currently work a full-time job so my availability is not as open. I am currently open on weekends and the occasional weekdays, I will try my best to align with yours and your pets schedule. I intend to keep the best environment of safety and enjoyment wherever it may be. I will work to keep the peace and chaos in a healthy balance, whatever your pet will need.
About: I have been around dogs my whole life !! I currently have two dogs of my own as well. I do some dog training. Sit, stay, lay, shake, crate training, and potty training. I work full time however I get two breaks and only work Monday-Thursday. I work from 8-5 and take a break at 1130 and 2:30. I live in a house and have a closed in fence. I take my dogs for a walk or run every day and will play fetch or tug of war with them in the yard. The dogs get lots of outside time and my girls love having new friends to play with! A kennel is not required but I do ask if you have one to bring it. Since we have our own dogs and also board more than one dog we put them up in the kennel when going to sleep at night.

“I am writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional dog-sitting service provided by SJ during our recent vacation. From the very first meeting, we knew we were leaving our beloved dog, Tama, in capable hands. SJ’s warm demeanor and professionalism gave us the confidence to leave our home and our furry family member for ten days. During our time away, SJ kept us updated with daily pictures and thoughtful messages that described her adventures with Tama. Knowing that she understood his severe anxiety issues and took special care to ensure he was never alone was incredibly reassuring. It was evident that she genuinely cared for Tama, providing him with companionship, walks, and playtime. Her efforts went above and beyond our expectations; she even took the time to retrieve our mail and complete several other chores we had requested. We cannot recommend SJ highly enough. She is trustworthy, honest, and a fantastic communicator, making the entire experience stress-free. We came home to a happy dog and a well-maintained house, which speaks volumes about her dedication and thoroughness. Hiring SJ was one of the best decisions we made, and we have no regrets. We would absolutely recommend her services to anyone in need of a reliable pet sitter.”

About: I have trained my two Australian Shepherds to complete nationally in AKC agility. My dog Maggie has been ranked as the number one freshman all American dog in the Winter 2023 agility season. I also have experience with puppies and toy breeds. I have a chihuahua. My family raises AQUA quarter horses, and I have years of farm and ranch experience. I have raised many orphaned kittens and I understand cats. Pet care is my priority. I wake up in the morning interacting with animals and I continue to provide for both cats and dogs throughout the day. I usually feed after the dogs relieve themselves and then I will also feed cats. I then check water dishes and clean up any messes or cat litter. Then I interact with the pets and check their well-being. In the client’s home I follow all of their rules and take photos of their pets. I own my home. I have a fenced yard, and crates.
About: I have been pet and house sitting for friends and family since I was 16 years old. I love animals (sometimes more than people). I can take care of all different types of needs that your beloved pet might have. Long walks, baths, morning and night time routines, special diets, etc. I have even taken care of a dog with diabetes before. I do not have much experience with other animals but I am a quick learner. I would love to take care of any pet you may have. I am a full time student at Oklahoma State University and I have a part time job that I work as well. I wouldn’t be gone from my house or yours any longer than the hours that would consist in a normal work or school day. I’m not normally gone that long but that is the longest I would be gone in a day. I have a pretty open schedule for the most part because a few of my classes are online. I don’t have any pets at home anymore. Sadly my childhood dogs passed away this summer and while I am not ready to get my own dog yet I still love taking care of animals! I kept a lot of their old things so I have plenty of toys, dog beds, and blankets that your animal would be welcome to use. I also have a dog door and fenced backyard that is available for use as well. The dog door can be shut or left open depending on what works best for your animal.
“Katy spent over a week house sitting and caring for our dog, Wally. She did a wonderful job! Wally was in great spirits when we returned, and our house was spotless. Katy was easy to communicate with and sent daily photos of our dog, which we so appreciated. Highly recommend!”

“Jessie watched our two dogs for a couple of days while we were out of town. The power went out at night while she was here and she managed the situation very well. Our dogs looked happy and healthy upon our return. We would definitely recommend her.”

I am a recently graduated student who will be going back to school after the summer is over. I can shape my schedule very freely so I can care for pets at whatever time works best for you! I live on a well fenced and neatly kept three acre property just outside of Stillwater. I have two male dogs: a Black Lab named Ollie, and an Ozzie named Blue. Both of which can keep your pup company, as they are very friendly, laid back, and get along great with other dogs. Since I already have dogs that live with me, my home has all the amenities necessary to care for them!

I have a fenced in yard and a six month old golden retriever puppy who can give your furry companion company! We love to go on evening walks and play fetch in the back yard! I’ll follow the same rules and routine in my home for your dog.
“Emily was awesome! Our dog immediately loved her from the moment she met her! Emily was very attentive and took her on some great, long walks. She also stayed at our house which was comforting knowing that someone was here. I will absolutely use Emily again and highly recommend her!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Wildhorse
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 112 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wildhorse. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wildhorse walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wildhorse maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wildhorse choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
