Kelsi and her family were wonderful hosts to Fin! They were adaptable as I needed a last minute pet sit for a couple of hours. Fin loved hanging at their house and he was super comfortable the whole time. I would definitely book with Kelsi again!

We ❤️ Sheri!! She has watched my pup on my long class days for two semesters now and he now knows when we are almost at her house and gets so excited! It’s so nice knowing he is somewhere that he loves and gets lots of walks and snuggles when I can’t be there!

About: Your dog becomes part of the family the moment they arrive 🐾💛 I provide a safe, structured, and loving environment where every dog is cared for like my own. With over 4 years of hands on experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, you can feel confident your dog is in capable and knowledgeable hands. As a certified dog trainer, I go beyond basic boarding by providing structure, guidance, and consistency throughout their stay. Whether it’s reinforcing commands, practicing leash manners, or simply maintaining a calm routine, your dog is always learning and thriving ✨🐶 I also have three personal dogs of my own ranging from 1 to 8 years old, so I truly understand the different needs, energy levels, and personalities that come with every stage of life 🐕🐕‍🦺🐾 My goal is to give your dog a comfortable, enriching, and stress free stay while giving you complete peace of mind knowing they’re safe, happy, and well cared for Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule because I’m a stay-at-home mom and a part-time dog trainer who works out of my own home. I’m already home throughout the day, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, and consistent care without long periods alone. My training background also means I understand dog behavior, routines, and safety, so your pet gets both loving care and structured supervision in a calm, home-based environment. When pets stay in my home, they become part of my daily routine and are treated like family. I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment with plenty of supervised playtime, regular potty breaks, and time to relax. I follow each pet’s feeding schedule and any special instructions closely, including medications if needed. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m able to give them lots of attention, affection, and structure, while using my dog training experience to reinforce good behavior and keep interactions positive and safe.

Jasmine was absolutely wonderful, and I really appreciated her quick communication, attention to detail, and compassion! She was able to respond to my last minute booking request and meet with me the same day. My dog had SO much fun with Jasmine’s dogs and the rest of her little crew. She really trusts Jasmine and actively looks forward to going to daycare camp. My dog is stubborn and will definitely let me know if she doesn’t like someone, so it was a relief to know she was spending her day having a good time. I got photos and updates throughout the day, and Jasmine responded quickly whenever I messaged her. I appreciated the flexibility with coordinating drop off/pick up times. Didn’t use her home pick up services, but it’s a nice option to consider. My dog had an awesome experience, and it was wayyyy better for her to be making friends and having fun than staying at home and waiting for me to come back. Highly recommend!!

Matt is fantastic. My dog Ru loves going to his house so much that she sprints to his front door and will not look back for me at all. She has a great time with him and when I pick her up she is happy and tired in the best way. He clearly has a great understanding of dogs and is very professional and communicative. I feel completely confident leaving my girl there and I know she has the absolute best care.

Zaria is wonderful with dogs. My little ones tend to be shy and skittish with strangers but not with her. They were comfortable immediately. It was such a relief to know they would be happy with her. I HIGHLY recommend Zaria to take for your fur babies too!

I understand that pets are family, and my goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or feeding, I tailor my care to each pet’s unique personality and needs. Why Choose Me? ✔ Patient, attentive, and reliable ✔ Clean, safe, and pet-friendly environment ✔ Regular updates with photos and messages ✔ Genuinely love spending time with animals I work from home, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I also have a friendly dog of my own, so your pup will have a built-in buddy for play and socialization. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to stick closely to your dog’s routine, provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of love. Your dog will never be left alone for long and will be treated like part of the family. I care for pets as if they were my own, with safety, trust, and comfort as my top priorities. In my home, pets stay in a clean, calm environment with a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor play and potty breaks. I also have crates available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a quiet, safe space to relax.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of all kinds since I was 5 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to care for their dogs and cats of all sizes while they travel or during emergencies. I love spoiling pets whenever I get the chance, and I treat every dog or cat as if they were my own. I do work a hybrid schedule and I’m also able to work from your home as well while sitting. I have plenty of time after or even before that to care for any pet that’s in my care. I’m free and available! I have a fenced in backyard and two other fur babies that will also keep your fur babies company and they have a lot of energy as well. I have enough space within my home to crate your puppies/dogs if needed.

About: Hello! I am looking to assist with care of your furry friends!! -Combined pet experience of 30+ years, all ages particularly seniors as well! I worked for veterinary services specializing in boarding care for 8 years through out schooling -Will ensure your home is left in the condition received with minimal housekeeping (will take trash out and clean up any pet accidents they may have due to medical conditions. Additional requests can be discussed with or without additional pricing) -Our commitment is to ensure your pets safety, emotionally and physically as if they are our own -Regular updates will be provided streamlining communication -I choose Rover over other traditional “2nd jobs”, because I want to enjoy the work we do! Looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies! I have a full-time job, however, remotely!! This allows one person at all times to care for your pets, during most hours! My personal break(s) will be scheduled based on both client and provider agreed upon schedules. For example: after evening pet care, there will be a 2-4 hour provider break for dinner and family time before returning for overnight care. Home has pvc wood vinyl for easy mess clean up. The yard is flat and fully fenced in. Warmer weather will have plastic kiddo pools for dogs to cool off. If your dog weighs more than 85 pounds, I require dogs to be leashed trained and/or with a “no pull” dog harness for the safety of your pet and care taker. Meaning, dogs that continually pull excessively while on leash, will either receive short potty breaks, or only “fenced-in” activities. This will be agreed upon at initial encounter. We understand the need to burn off energy! We want to keep everyone safe while we strive to keep the routine as close to yours as much as possible.

Great with my little one she is old and spoiled Chihuahua and she just keeps getting spoiled. Loves the yard to run in and play with the bigger dogs sometimes. But the best part is she is worn out by the time we get home. And they are so flexible with my crazy schedule.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 675 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Wickham Crossing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Wickham Crossing commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 675 sitters in Wickham Crossing, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
