About: I have had dogs and cats all my life. I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. My girls Piper, Ella and Shelby are my world. I love these dogs like they are children. They are spoiled I will admit. I also have taken care of my friends dogs for years while they have been out of town and my house as "Aunt Paige's Doggie Camp" All my dogs I have brought up from puppies. I have house trained them, crate trained them and trained them on the invisible fence for the yard. They always get lots of love and have lots of toys to play with, both inside and outside. I work from home, so I'm always here to take them out and take care of them. My dogs are always outside when it's not too hot or the weather is bad. I live on a quite street which ends in a cul-da-sak. So I will walk them at least 2 times a day The most important thing is they must get along with other dogs. I have a invisible fence in my yard and can certainly put your dog on it if they are trained on one. Otherwise I will go out with them and walk them. If they are well trained and can be lose a return on command they can play in the yard with my girls.

About: when you choose me as your pet sitter, you have nothing to worry about. I care for all pets as if they're my own. I live in an apartment and I'm currently only available to do boarding with one dogs but will consider two if they are bonded pair. before any boarding or housesitting services confirmed, I require we meet in person to ensure all the details are understood and that your dogs are OK with my dog. I have a 30 pound beagle mix named Daisy who is three years old and she will be with me at all times. I am always available for drop in visits and dog walking. prices fluctuate due to various factors but the main ones these days are gas prices and distance of travel. I.e The farther away you are the more likely there is that a added fee will occur before confirmation of service. I provide pet care in services full-time as of November 2021. I am available at any time if you need me. i'm currently available for the following services: housesitting, pet boarding, drop in visit, dog walking for 30 minutes or 60 minutes, and one on one dog training. if your dog is with me, I live in a neighborhood that is very dog friendly. We have two dog parks and I am often at these dog parks at least once a day. However if you have a dog that is not comfortable with that I would not take them there. I would focus on other activities that are more suited to your pet. I also take a lot of pictures and I am constantly in contact with you so you don't have to worry where or what we're doing. I currently work as a therapist with an office in the Madison area, right next to the plow and hearth. My schedule is pretty flexible and it changes weekly as my client needs change. I am almost always around, that makes me a great person for any last minute bookings needed. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm, pet-friendly environment with plenty of affection, daily walks, and playtime tailored to your pet’s needs. I keep the space clean, secure, and low-stress, with my own well-behaved dog Daisy as a companion if your pet is comfortable. When staying in your home, I’m respectful of your space and your pet’s routine. I follow all instructions closely, maintain regular updates, and work to ensure your pet feels safe and cared for in their familiar environment. I aim to build trust with both pets and their people every step of the way.

“Winnie loves her walks with Amanda! Amanda has been wonderful, great communication and always shares cute pictures. She’s been able to adjust schedule as needed. Highly recommend!”

“Dakota connects well with our dog Patrick and is able to re-direct him when he wants to just turn around and come home. Our pup can be just one small ball of over excitement and exuberance and they handle that well. Dakota has been very reliable and always lets me know if he needs to adjust the time a bit.”

About: I’ve taken care of small to medium sized dogs, fish, and cats since I was 15 years old. I have also taken care of reptiles for my friend. I focus on making sure that pets are clean, fed, happy, and healthy. I grew up with several cats, a fish, and one dog over the years. I am free on weekends all day and 7pm-9pm on weekdays. I work 7am-6pm M-F at my other job. I will always make time to get your pet the care it needs. When I come over to check on your pet I check food, water, litter, and any medications. I also make time for walks, pets, and play. I like to give your fur baby the attention they need. I clean up any messes I find when I pet sit so you don’t have to.

About: I was raised in a family of animal lovers and helped to care for at least one family pup at all times. From my grandma's cat filled house to my own dogs, I have always been surrounded by a variety of furry friends so I'm very comfortable and experienced with caring for them. I began pet-sitting for neighbors as soon as I got into high school, and I'm very excited to meet some new furry friends! As a second year student at the University of Virginia, I've got a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care! My classes are mostly in the mornings, so I'm available for dog-sitting in the afternoons and evenings. Weekends are completely free for me, which means I can provide consistent and attentive care for your furry friends, ensuring they get plenty of playtime, walks, and attention while you're away! Since I live in an apartment that doesn't allow animals, I don't offer in-home pet care services. Instead, I provide dedicated pet care at your convenience! I will make sure your pet feels comfortable and happy during our time together. I also maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs, ensuring your furry friend receives the best care possible in a familiar environment. Your pet's well-being is my top priority!

About: I have been caring for animals on a professional basis for over fifteen years now, from working in a high volume animal sanctuary, fostering for CASPCA, and taking multiple CPDT Dog Training classes! I specialize in puppy socialization and creative enrichment. I do currently work a part-time job, but have flexibility for mid-day potty breaks. I am off early on Wednesdays and Fridays, and all weekend! I am able to spend most of my time off caring for your pets with minimal interruptions or coming and going. We are currently in the process of moving and updating business requirements accordingly, so in-home boarding is very limited. For in-home sitting, I aim to leave each home cleaner than I arrived. I utilize a secure lockbox for key management. I commute frequently with pet parents with a lot of pictures and videos!!

About: Hello & thank you for considering me to be your sitter or walker 🫶🏻 My name is Elyza and dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I realize it can be tricky finding a trustworthy sitter nowadays - that’s why I do what I do! I currently own my own petsitting/dog walking business called Za’s Paws LLC - you can check me out on Facebook & Google! I would love to help with your fur babies ❤️ I have plenty of time to spend with your animals while you are away or at work! I drive for Instacart & Amazon part time, so I may be gone for 3-5 hours some days; I will discuss my schedule ahead of time and let you know any time planned to be away. I am 100% comfortable with watching older pups too as long as there is no serious health issues. I will provide any exercise or administer any medication (non-injected) as needed 😊 I would love to schedule a meet and greet with you and your pets! In-house sitting is ideal for any pets that have a set schedule and will help keep them comfortable in an environment they are used to. I have a very strict schedule with my dogs at home and am used to following a schedule. There is a possibility I can be gone for 3-5 hours a day if your pets are okay with being alone for that long. I always ask that you leave me detailed instructions on feeding/care guidelines for your pets and we will discuss care during required meet & greet. If your house does not have a fenced in yard, I am fine with walking your dog on a leash. *Warning: I will NOT walk your dog off a leash even if you tell me your dog is well mannered off a leash. You MUST leave me a leash if you do not have a fence.*

About: I’m an experienced pet sitter willing to care for your pets when you’re unable to. Mature and patient, I am an adult who is reliable and provides attention to detail when caring for your pet. I have lived in Gordonsville for 40+ years and had cats and dogs throughout this time. Prior to providing boarding or pet/house sitting service, I will meet with you and your pet to understand your needs and ensure a good fit for all. I will only board one pet at my house at a time to ensure he/she has a comfortable environment. For day and overnight care, I will provide meticulous notes and/or text messages about feeding, potty breaks, etc. I have experience administering medicine as well as pet/house sitting for multiple pets (up to 20) at the same time. An additional $5 will be added for each drop in visit and walking service, if more than 10 miles from my home. I work from home and have a family of four so someone is almost always home. I try to keep the same routine for your pet as they experience at home. I will take care of your four legged family members like they are my own and provide ongoing text updates and photos throughout their stay.

About: I have experience with all dogs and grew up working on a farm, caring for an array of livestock to include chickens, goats/sheep, alpacas/llamas, and two sheepdogs. I am willing to feed & care for any other farm animals or exotic pets if requested. I came from a big cat loving family, and would love to come love on yours. I currently work from home which affords me the ability to be pretty flexible with times of days and last minute bookings. If I’m a not available for some dates, please reach out to me to discuss. Due to our new pup (we rescued her Jan 2022) who we are still socializing - we unfortunately are not longer able to offer boarding or do doggy daycare in our home.

About: We live on a huge farm and we are home most of the time. We have experience with cats and dogs of all sizes, but we prefer to board mainly pets under 50 lbs. We have house sitting experience and we have experience with older pets and those needing medical care. As a biologist I am happy to feed, check on, and care for any species as long as you can tell me what they need and prefer. One adult is almost always home at the farm. We have very flexible jobs. We also can work our schedule to suit caring for animals. I personally love training animals and my husband and I both walk dogs as much as possible, a couple miles a day. We are very cuddly with both dogs and cats if that is what the dogs and cats want. We can administer meds. I work full days until 2:30 M-F and my husband teaches and does other work part-time. He can handle drop-ins during the day week. Richard loves to walk and be outside with pets. I have one older dog who is extremely calm and sweet, and two cats. We go for multiple walks each day. While the entire farm is fenced, we also have a smaller dog area that is about 1000 Sq Ft. This is to prevent any mishaps regarding your pet getting lost on the farm. We have room inside for kennels for medium sized dogs. We allow dogs on our furniture.

About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. Let me know what you're looking for and we can discuss schedule time and routing. I can do my best to fit my schedule into your fur baby schedule. I have two fence in yard to provide safety for those who doesn't get along with others. I also have two dogs of my own which probably won't be alot of fun. My beagle is usually sleeping in the house all day as for the husky she usually laying in the back yard squirrel hurting. I can create your fur baby at night or provide a dog bed. I do allowed fur babies to sleep in the bed only with fur parents permission. My fur babies are not snugglers so they choose to sleep on their dog beds.

About: Animal care is my career, not my hobby or source of extra income. I have experience house-sitting and providing in-home care for pets as well as experience working in shelters, kennels, and boarding facilities. I am experienced with medication administration including injectable medications. I am comfortable working with reactive cats and dogs. Please contact me about a free meet and greet in your home -- I would love to meet your pet! Pet care comes first always! My own pup goes out 3x per day so I generally like to be able to leave a dog alone for up to 2 hours so I can go home and let my pup out but my fiancee can usually help out and we might be able to make something work if you need me to be with your dog all the time. It would require a higher fee because I wouldn't be able to accept other bookings during that time. At this point in time I do not offer to care for pets in my home. All drop-in visits will take place at the client's home.

About: Left my career in veterinary medicine to be a stay at home mom currently. I am available to care for all types of pets and livestock. My experience in the clinic allows me to medicate and take care of special cases safely, leaving you worry free while you are away from your fur baby. From growing up on a farm to fostering for local rescues I am comfortable caring for the tiniest kittens all the way up to 150 pound dogs and even farm animals. In nice weather I am available to take active dogs on local trails for hikes or just assist your senior dog on a quick potty break, whichever suits your need best! With veterinary emergency knowledge under my belt I know what to do if an unexpected situation arises while your away and to get your baby the best care in a time of need. Ultimately I would love to establish a on going relationship with you and your pet so we can bond and know eachother instead of putting them through the unnecessary stress of constantly having to meet new sitters each time. Recently became a stay at home mom, can accommodate your daily routine so your pets don’t have to change their schedules for when you’re out of town. “Punctual and would use again”

Paige K.
“We use Paige all of the time and I cannot speak more highly of her. She is wonderful and our dogs are so comfortable there. Her dogs and my dogs get together and run themselves ragged for an hour, crash and then claim spots on the floor and furniture and everything is great! They even get excited when we say you are going to Paige's house. Paige is a wonderful person and I trust her wholeheartedly.”

Samantha S.
“I would like to give our recommendation and praise to Samantha Shifflett for care of our two fur babies. There is no question of Samantha’s trustworthiest and her love of animals. She is an exceptional caretaker of both large and small animals. She is not only an exceptional caretaker and trainer but knowledgeable, reliable, efficient and devoted. She is available to work around my schedule on short notice and in one case when I was having a serious medical emergency she showed up when called within 5 minutes while I was taken to the hospital. She demonstrates enormous love and compassion for all animals. Her rates are very reasonable for the services she provides. She is not your average pet sitter. She will do whatever you ask of her whether it be taking your dog for a walk, playing with them, staying at the owners home overnight keeping your animal in their comfortable environment, taking them to Dog park and so much more! Anyone looking for an excellent care provider for your fur babies would be hard pressed to find a better person to provide this service.”

Over the years we have felt very comfortable knowing that they were in her care when we were on vacation. “heather is the best! she consistently cares for my dog and is responsible and thoughtful! i highly recommend!”

Veronica C.

“Veronica took great care of Primrose and was very attentive to her needs. She was on time and sent regular updates!”

Susan P.
“Susan is , quite simply, the most incredible pet sitter you will ever find. I hardly know how to begin to describe her pet sitting abilities. She has taken care of my dogs for years--sometimes even on short notice, When I first got her to dog sit, I had two very easy, laid back dogs- an old Lab and an old Plott Hound. After they were gone I got a Pitt Bull Mix ( also very easy) and a Malinois mix who is the most high maintenance, high energy dog I have ever had. Susan was a trooper from day one --throwing frisbee, going for walks, taking her for rides, and field trips to Lowes--and of course, loving her. Both dogs adore her---and she them. I never have to be concerned about anything when I leave them with her. She follows feeding and outing routines scrupulously. She goes beyond what any other dog sitter would do, including filling in holes that the PB mix dug in the back yard! She sends me pictures of the dogs playing and evening pictures of them in quiet repose. And did I mention, she's also good with cats! I can't say enough good things about Susan and her pet sitting. She will spoil you for ever having another sitter! Just like the Allstate Ins. ad, "They're in good hands with Susan"!”

Emily S.
“Emily has done an amazing job taking care of our dog and cats. She has been extremely attentive to everything they need, and she has gone above and beyond in every respect. Outside of Rover, Emily has worked in vets, shelters, and kennels, and the experience shows! She is comfortable administering medication to our pets and dealing with any other tasks we need on top of standard walks, feeding, etc. Most importantly, our pets are completely at ease with Emily. She has a great disposition with them, and our dog and cats absolutely love her. I cannot recommend her services strongly enough, whether you need her for an occasional dog walk, pet sitting, or any other pet care. You will feel comfortable knowing your pets are in the hands of a truly professional caretaker.”

Jenna O.
“Jenna has been one of our top “go-tos” when it comes to watching our pets and even when we have questions regarding our pets health. Jenna is very knowledgeable and trusting; she has a strong passion for animals. We are grateful for her professionalism and genuine love for animals. I highly recommend Jenna if you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog/pet as if it is one of her own!”
