Brent and Connie are the most kind and welcoming hosts! I requested a daycare request last minute and they were extremely accommodating. They treated my puppy as if he was part of their family. I can’t recommend them enough - and will definitely reach out again in the future!

Melanie is great, she kept me informed and sent pictures, she has a great backyard space. My pups had a great time they were calm when we picked up and they slept like babies. My dogs are large so I’m happy to find places where they feel comfortable.

5 stars! This was our first booking with Jonah and she went out of our way to insure that we were frequently updated during our pup’s visit. She exceeded expectations and now we have a trusted person who we know will take care of our dog. Highly recommended.

About: I love animals actively volunteering locally at shelters and transporting animals regionally for the past 9 years. The safety and care of animals is a big focus of my life. I enjoy spending time with animals and helping them enjoy their lives. I will care for your pet as if it was my own. If you want someone who is patient, kind and lovingly treats animals, you will not go wrong in choosing me. I enjoy watching animals play so you don't need to worry about your pet's safety while out in the yard or on a walk with me. All in all, I would say I am a mature, educated, patient individual who will treat your pets with the care you yourself would provide. Its almost as if you'd left them with a trusted friend or family member. I am working from home and do not work evenings or weekends so I am flexible. I will make sure to be there when needed so your dog does not have to wait for anything. My goal is to make sure that they feel safe and sound while you are not home. I allow dogs time to play and engage with them during play time. I love taking dogs on walk and enjoy engaging cats in a rousing game of catch the feather. I like to provide for the maximum comfort of animals and am glad to watch your animals in your home. I am glad to do whatever it takes to keep your pet happy and healthy.

About: I absolutely love animals and can’t wait to love on your pumpkin like they are my own! I will attend to all details no matter how in-depth they are and make sure your pets and home are content and safe when you return! Our pets are our world and we will soon be volunteering at CHS. I would love to see more fur babies in my day to day life! I have a very flexible work schedule and can take my break at any time. This allows me to help most times of day, provided that daytime care visits aren’t too long in duration. For house sitting, I will not be able to spend the night. However, I will ensure your pets get all the care and time they deserve. I will not be able to care for pets in my own home. Unfortunately we are not optimally set up for this with a member of the household with a dog allergy and lack of a fenced in yard.

Mary Grace is an exceptional pet sitter! She agreed to care for my 2 dogs at the last minute and was flexible with my work schedule. She wasn’t put off by my long work day of 12 hour shifts. She kept me informed throughout the day with pics and texts on how well my puppy kids were doing. Though my one dog has some behavioral special needs, Mary Grace was confident in her skills to care for my dog both professionally and lovingly. I highly recommend Mary Grace!

About: I have grown up with many animals. I have had all different types of breeds from a collie, chihuahua, husky, to a Great Dane. I have 2 of my own fur babies who are so sweet & playful. I’m a caring, reliable pet lover who understands how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby. I treat every pet like they’re my own—making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to follow your pet’s routine to keep things consistent and stress-free. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just extra cuddles, I’m here to give your pet the care and attention they deserve while giving you peace of mind. I have let sit for many families before and have never had any issues!! I am a stay at home mom with my two littles so I am always home! I do have 2 dogs of my own so we go for walks, the dog park, or just play fetch out back. I am always here to keep an eye on the pups and make sure they’re well taken care of. My apartment has a dog park where your fur baby can play! I also have 2 dogs of my own to help keep your baby entertained. I care for pets in my home the same way I care for my own—with patience, love, and attention to detail. I keep a clean, pet-safe space and make sure each pet gets personalized care, whether that’s sticking to their routine, extra playtime, or just a cozy place to rest.

About: Our dogs have always been family and I can't recall any time in my entire life when I haven't had a dog at my side, sometimes two or three. I've had dogs of all sizes and energy levels. The longest boarding was for two months while the pup parent traveled in Asia. I've had dogs on my small ranch in NV and we rode trails together. They moved with me to CO and we enjoyed the mountains and front range together. I drove cross-country many times with my dogs, stayed in hotels and visited friends and family with them. My dogs are always a priority in all we do and I will care for your pups as I do mine. Be assured that I will follow any special instructions you give to provide your pet a safe, happy, stress-free stay. I recently rescued a deaf puppy who was in the middle of the road, and took care of her until a new, loving home was secured. I checked on her later and she is happy with her people and dog family. I am retired and always home. I spend my days gardening, cooking, squirrel and bird-watching, helping at church, and making greeting cards. My two dogs are with me the entire day. We will give your pup lots of company and love. I prefer to sit for one client at a time and max two dogs at a time. I look forward to meeting you and your pups. It's a good day any day that you meet new friends with fur. They bring joy to life. I have a 1/2 acre and a huge fenced yard for play and romping. Your dog will not be put outside for any length of time without my oversight. I am frequently out in the yard, relaxing, weeding, planting and pruning. Safety is number one and focused, pleasant care are my priorities. I want to be sure that the pups have my undivided attention. My two small dogs and I will give your pup lots of company assuring that he or she is acclimated and gets to know us. Our home is comfortable and happy. Does your pup enjoy endless belly rubs? Mine do and I have plenty to share. I prefer to sit for one client and max two dogs at a time. Photos of your pup's day are provided, if requested. I feed my dogs twice a day and give them one treat after their meals. I will feed your dogs at the time of day you prefer. We will only give your pup treats that you provide. I will follow your feeding schedule and administer meds if needed. My early career was 20 years as a hospital clinical laboratory scientist and then as a director. I've medicated my dogs and horses and given shots, so I know all the techniques needed to administer meds for your dog. Be assured, I recognize a dog's body language if in pain, stressed, or sick and will notify you immediately of any serious issues. I will follow your instructions if vet services are needed. My senior dog, Vivvie requires a special diet, so I make homemade dog food, veterinarian approved. No table scraps for her or for dogs in my care.

Samantha is awesome!!! We did a meet and greet prior to me booking her for daycare. She’s very professional. She verified his shots were up-to-date, and asked detailed questions concerning his care. This was the first time we booked with her and she sent pictures and updates immediately, which set me at ease. Chase enjoyed his stay with her. He was very comfortable with her and developed an immediate attachment to her. He had a blast. We are definitely using her again. She’s fantastic. Thank you Samantha for going above and beyond to make us both feel at ease.

About: Our entire family loves to care for animals! I personally have been a responsible pet sitter for over 25 years. While we currently are a pet free home, we have been thankful to have owned and cared for a black lab, yorkie poo (lived until 15), two German Shepards (currently guard dogs in Haiti), rabbits and many goats. While your pet is with me you will receive multiple updates and feel secure in the fact that they are being loved and taken care of just as you would! I would love the privilege to care for your beloved dog while you are away! I am a stay at home homeschool mom and have the ability to care for your animal all day. It is so fun to incorporate dog walks and playtime with your animals in my daily schedule. I can easily crate your fur baby, or they can sleep in a comfy dog bed. We have a large yard, with a small portion fenced. Since we are a homeschool family, we spend a lot of time out doors and I love to take dogs for walks and let them join us outside if that is what your fur baby enjoys. If you need help with drop in services at your own home, I can arrange those services to meet your dogs needs.

About: Hi, I’m Amanda! I have several years of professional experience working with dogs in boarding and daycare environments, with a strong focus on behavior, safety, and low-stress handling. I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs, administering medications, following special routines, and working with dogs that benefit from a calmer environment. My background has taught me the importance of understanding each dog’s individual needs and adjusting care accordingly. I also carry pet care insurance in addition to Rover’s protections and believe in clear, honest communication so owners can feel confident while they’re away. Pet care is a central part of my daily routine. I work from home, which allows me to spend the majority of my day with the dogs in my care rather than being away at a traditional 9-to-5 job. My schedule is built around feeding routines, walks, enrichment, potty breaks, cleaning, and individual attention. While I occasionally leave for errands or appointments, dogs are not routinely left alone for a full workday. I provide care in a calm, structured home environment designed to help dogs feel safe and comfortable while away from home. Dogs are supervised, managed thoughtfully, and given appropriate opportunities for activity and rest throughout the day. I prioritize low-stress handling, safe management practices, and predictable routines that help dogs settle in successfully. Each dog’s care is adjusted based on their age, temperament, energy level, and individual needs.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Whitesville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 194 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Whitesville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Whitesville commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 194 sitters in Whitesville, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
