“Marlo loved her stay! We loved the pictures and how accessible Cynthia was. The property is big and safe. Our little 5 lb Yorkie fit right in with their dogs and cats. We felt very good when leaving our puppy there. Thank you so very much!”

“We were very pleased with the care Cheyann provided for our one-year-old dog. . We met for a meet-and-greet prior to the day of care, and Cheyann was very detail-oriented in asking about our dog and writing things down. She is very kind and gentle, and we felt comfortable with her caring for our dog. Cheyann sent photos and checked in to let us know things were going well, which we appreciated. We plan to use her for future care when it is needed.”

“Took great care of my dog, Scout!! Took the time to find out about her needs, routines and behavior. I knew right away she would be in wonderful hands. Definitely would recommend!!”

“Jennifer was amazing!!! She took such precious care of our Mayo buddy! She responded so quickly, allowed for last minute booking, and sent updates the entire time! Mayo loved playing with the Corgis! He never gets to play with dogs his size so he loved that! They had lots of sunshine and outdoor time! We will use Jennifer again!”

“Elizabeth is an amazing pet sitter! Her communication, kindness and professionalism are amazing. Skye seemed like sleeping better at her place 😆 we definitely would use her services again!!”

“We absolutely loved having Darcie and her family watch Oliver! We got updates every day with several pictures or even a video, which made being away from him so much easier. It was clear from the moment we dropped him off that Oliver was being treated like part of the family, and he came home happy and well-loved. We are honestly obsessed with Darcie and her family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be using Darcie again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love their dog like their own!”

“Kirsten was great! She was able to accept a request to watch my dog for the weekend at the last minute. She was very flexible about setting up drop-off and pick-up times and took really good care of my fur baby. I really appreciated that she sent me a picture each day to show how my dog was doing. :)”

“Katrina and Drew were great! They were quick to communicate and were very accommodating to minor schedule changes. Our pup did so well she ran out of food! She usually skips meals when away from home and I pack accordingly. Katrina quickly replaced the food to keep Schatzi on schedule!”

“Rachel did a great job with Ralphie! He was happy and seemed to enjoy his time with her. She took him to the park a few times! I would be comfortable using her services again!”

“Bob did a great job taking care of our miniature golden doodle. He walked him daily, gave him lots of outside time, naps and managed his picky eating. Bob is attentive to details and took notes at meet & greet and at drop off. Thanks for the great care Bob!”

“Alka and Rajeev are very nice, and were very attentive to our dog. She got a walk in addition to enjoying their fenced in yard. We especially like that they only take one pet at a time. We’ve used them twice, and plan on using them again in the future.”

“Jeremie and Kelly were wonderful sitters! They took great care of Arwen. They were communicative and kind. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Jerad and Kali's family was wonderful. They sent us photos and videos throughout our dog's stay, which made us feel at ease. Our pup looked so happy and comfortable with them. After two weeks, we joked that she might not want to come home because she was having such a good time. We highly recommend them and will definitely book with them again.”

“Serah was quick to respond to my last minute request and took good care of my pup! She sent me a photo update and was really flexible with pick up time. Murphy was exhausted when I got him home so I know he got lots of good play time. Thanks again!”

“Tasha took great care of our senior dog! She asked great questions to make sure she was informed on everything and provided great updates. We will be booking her again for our next trip!”

“Julie was amazing with my puppy who has alot of issues so i was very nervous to leave him for my trip but Julie handled it so well and was so great to my puppy! Will be booking again!”

“Barb is the first person I left my dog with besides family. She was amazing. My dog was happy and healthy when we picked him up. He had been playing with her dogs and didn't want to leave. I will be using Barb again for the next trip. She went above and beyond with photos and updates while Mowgli was with her. I am so thrilled to have found her!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their White Rock home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your White Rock.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your White Rock sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
