“Samantha did an amazing job with our puppy. She sent tons of pictures and kept us updated throughout the day. I would highly recommend her to anyone needed her services.”

About: My earliest memories are of playing with dogs. As an adult I love my kitties and will care for any furry, scaley or feathered friends. Every day I care for my dog and 4 cats. The trip to the nearby park is a routine where I find refuge. I have flexibility with my work schedule and can make most times fit. I have a fenced yard where pets can roam free without fear of antagonism or being set loose in the neighborhood. I give each memeber of the clan daily attention and individual care.

About: I have grown up with a dog my whole life. When I was very young we had a Yorkie named Rex. And for the last 11 years we have had an energetic yellow lab named penny. We trained her ourselves and now she is very well behaved. I love dogs and am great with them. I love to play them just as much as they do! I currently work part time most days of the week but have a fairly free schedule since my shifts aren’t that long. I go to sleep late and wake up early so my days are open! I live in a house with a fenced yard big enough for a dog to play fetch in. My roommates love animals too so all pets will be welcomed. I am willing to stay at anyone’s home and will be respectful of any house rules that are set.
About: I’ve had a passion for dogs for as long as I can remember! Aside from parenting I would love the chance to meet and care for animals and dogs. I am more than happy to work with you on my prices depending on needs and size! Feel free to message me and ask! :) I’m always home and have extra time to care for, and watch your precious doggos! Walking, dog sitting etc I have the time to care for them. We have a little fenced yard! Enough for them to run for a minute and do what they need to do! They'll have security here and will have everything they they need!

About: I grew up with cats and always treated them like they are the most special creatures ever to exist. This feeling has continued to expand now that I have a dog in my own home. She is the princess of our hearts and home. They are never “just a pet.” They are family. I will make sure they are safe, loved, and reassure them their family is coming back home. Due to my own little dog’s anxiety, I will not be able to accommodate other pets in my own home. I am available to help at your house with your needs, though. I am a stay at home Mom so I have flexibility to help with your fluffy babies. I know how hard it is to not take your pet with you somewhere. I will make sure your fur baby is loved and safe. My little toy poodle is our princess of our house. She isn’t just a pet. She is our fluffy baby. We make sure she is up to date on all vaccinations, bathed every week, groomed every other month, and daily walks when possible. I take great care to ensure she has the best, most happiest little life. I would do the same for your pets, too!

“Pamela did a great job walking Max! She was very accommodating and seemed quite comfortable right off the bat with our 140 lb boy. She sent pictures and I know Max loved having her son there to run with. I would recommend her services and will definitely be using her again!”

About: I have trained and raised dogs since I was little. We have experience with Saint Benards, Bernese Mountain dogs golden retrievers and Newfoundlands. We like big dogs! I am a stay at home dad and have all day to provide care and help with any needs your dogs may have or need. Well behaved and trained dogs can be in our house or out in the backyard. Our dogs are about 50/50 inside and outside mainly because our newfy gets hot regularly

About: I've owned animals throughout my life. Currently, I have a lasb/mastiff mix, 3 cats, 4 lizards and a trantula that I share my home with. I'll care for your pet to the best of my abilities and they will always be loved, safe, and protected In my day to day life, my fiance and I share duties in the indie bookshop and creative space that we own. In the mornings, I get ready and take our dog outside. I always pick up the poop and dispose of it - it's a requirement in our townhome community. I then go in and feed the dog and give her any medications and supplements she may be on. Usually, I leave the house and my fiance takes care of her letting her out and taking a walk during the day. We do have a fenced dog park one block over that we frequently visit to let the pup run around off-leash for a bit and play with any other dogs that may be there and/or throw the ball. In the evening, we always go for a nightly walk before bed. Then our dog has a comfy bed at the foot of our bed and some stairs so she can get on the bed and lay with us. Your dog will get the same experience and care as our sweet girl, along with a playmate so boredom won't be an option. All dogs will be on leash outside of the home and waste will be disposed of properly. There's a fenced dog park near by that will allow your dog to run around off leash with our dog, who is very friendly and patient - an older spayed large dog, gentle as can be. Your dog will get the same care and protection as ours including no access to the cat box or open food they can grab, lots of love and attention, access to clean water always, and extra emphasize on anything you tell me your dog needs. I take our pets health very seriously.
About: I grew up with 3 border collies in my home, so I’ve been helping with pet care for as long as I can remember. My husband and I adopted Penny, our sweet Australian Shepherd, two years ago and we have loved every second. I have never met a dog I didn’t love. I have often been told I have a knack for comforting anxious dogs. I work from home, so my schedule is fairly flexible during work hours. I often take my dog on a walk before work and in the evening after work. I’m flexible to leave work as needed and take dogs out as often as needed. I have a friendly Australian Shepherd who loves to play to keep your dog(s) company. My fur baby no longer uses her crate, so we have a crate that can be used for your dog when they visit if they like it. My husband is home in the evening after work to help with pet care.
About: Hi! I’m Kye, a dedicated animal caregiver with years of hands-on experience in vet med, dog walking, training, and kennel work. I currently work as a kennel tech at an animal hospital and boarding facility, where I care for dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. Whether it’s administering medication, ensuring a safe play environment, or just giving plenty of love and attention, I treat every dog like my own. Speaking of my own pup—I have a 9-month-old black Lab named Bug, so I fully understand the importance of exercise, mental stimulation, and routine in keeping dogs happy and well-behaved. I spend a lot of time outdoors and love taking dogs on walks, hikes, and fun adventures tailored to their needs. Whether your pup loves to explore or prefers a cozy cuddle session, I adapt to what makes them feel safest and happiest. With my professional background, I’m experienced in handling high-energy dogs, senior pups, shy or nervous dogs, and everything in between. I’m comfortable with multiple-dog households, basic training reinforcement, and special care needs such as administering medications or working with reactive dogs. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible by ensuring your pet is in trusted, capable hands. Let’s chat about how I can provide the best care for your furry family member—I’d love to meet them! Here’s some extra reasons to consider me: Upon request (at no extra cost) I offer baths/brushing, long hikes/walks, extra cuddle time, fun mentally stimulating games, soft training, daily update photos, park trips, watering plants, deep cleaning for your home, recurring daycare or home visits, etc! Due to my job at an animal hospital, I prefer at least a week's notice so I can plan around my schedule. That said, I’m usually very flexible and able to dedicate plenty of time to ensure your pet gets the enrichment and play they need! If your pup is comfortable being home during my 5-7 hour shifts, there’s no issue at all. Otherwise, feel free to ask about my work schedule, and we can coordinate the best plan for your pet’s care! I prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved, whether they’re in my home or their own. My approach is tailored to each pet’s needs, routine, and personality to ensure a stress-free experience. **In Clients’ Homes:** When caring for pets in their home, I maintain their regular schedule as closely as possible, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special care they require. I provide updates, photos, and videos to keep owners at ease while they’re away. I also handle medication administration, basic grooming (if requested), and training reinforcement to ensure consistency. **In My Home:** If a pet stays with me, they’ll have a structured but fun environment, plenty of outdoor time, and lots of attention. I make sure they have a safe space to relax, and if needed, I can accommodate crate training or specific routines. I have experience with high-energy dogs, puppies, seniors, and dogs with special medical needs, so I adjust my care accordingly. No matter where I’m caring for your pet, my goal is to provide a loving, attentive experience so they feel secure and happy while you’re away.
About: As a dog owner myself, including caring for a reactive dog, I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a safe, comfortable environment. Whether it’s reinforcing routines, administering medications, providing extra attention to senior dogs, or keeping up with an energetic puppy, I treat every pet like my own while keeping owners updated and giving them peace of mind while they’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine as I work part-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, reliable care throughout the day. I enjoy staying active with dogs through walks, playtime, and enrichment activities, and I can easily adapt my schedule to meet each pet’s needs while keeping owners updated and informed. I care for pets by maintaining their normal routine in the comfort of their own home. I follow feeding schedules, provide walks, playtime, exercise, and plenty of attention while ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages, treat every home with respect, and make sure pets receive the same level of care and love they would from their family.
About: We are excited to be back watching dogs after maternity leave. We have always had dogs growing up and quickly got our own once married. We have watched dogs through Rover for 3 years now and absolutely love the experience! We are currently a stay at home mom/ remote workers so I would be home with the pet all day except for a few hours at a time if we go to run errands. Your dog will be in the home with us like our own pet! We only kennel if that is the dogs normal home routine Our yard is currently only fenced with a temporary 4 foot fence as we have just built our home so We can currently only take dogs who are safe being let out to the bathroom and to have supervised play time in that setting.
About: My family owns a dog rescue that I have been helping out/taking internships at for years! I grew up with many different animals in the household and my passion for animals is what makes me a great caretaker! I work part time so I have lots of time to care for your pups! I always have long lunch breaks which gives allowance for extra walks/outings. I love to hike so if that is something you think your dog would like send them over to me! About: My wife and I have been doing rover now for about 3 years already. She has a rover account, and we’d be happy to take care of your pups. There’s very little we can’t or won’t do to accommodate any need you make have from drop off to pick-up let us know. We love animals and I think there no better way to make some additional income then to share our home with your fur babies. Also if I need to come to your home I’m happy to make them as comfortable at home the way you do as possible, until you get back. I’m always aware plans change if I need to watch them longer, or we need to adjust pick-up and drop off times that will never be a problem. We joke that we let the dogs out let the dogs in and then it’s time, to do it all over again :-) we are called all the dogs, because we want all the dogs. We have a fully fenced yard, and 3 fur babies for your pets to have play with. We also have an industrial awesome dog pool for them to play in the water or to just use as a big dish :-)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
