I have done some dog sitting privately for a pampered pup. I love dogs of all breeds and sizes. Attended the dog show meet the breeds in new york city. Dependable and responsible dog walker at your service also flexible to meet your schedule. I get along well with most any animal and have three purrfect cats and fish at home. I love to get outside myself to hike and enjoy the outdoors. I'm confident that I can be a great asset to any owner in need of an extra set of hands. Also drop in service for feeding or potty breaks is available. Looking forward to meeting your furry friends. Working remotely with a flexible schedule. I love going for walks several times throughout the day myself. Always excited to have a furry friend along. Three happy cats at home that demand to be fed promptly at 6am and 6pm. They get lots of love and attention. Treats from time to time but not too much.
About: I grew up with dogs. My brother has always had big dogs. My mom has always had small dogs. We have a farm in Montana where dogs are a big part of every day life. I have a fairly open schedule and am available most times of the day and night. I do not mind working off hours and could be flexible with most schedules. I currently have a rescue cat named Ru. She is all black and was at the humane society for almost 3 months before coming home to me. I love dogs and have had many different breeds and sizes over the years. I’m hoping that we can fence in our new home so that I can rescue a new dog soon.
“I'm so glad Amanda was able to petsit for a last-minute, quick overnight trip. We had good communication and she left my house exactly how she found it, what more could you want from a sitter?”

“We are so pleased with the experience we had with Chelsea. She was great about keeping us informed about how our pups were doing. She texted us and sent us pictures every day while we were out of town. We would definitely recommend Chelsea for anyone looking for someone to care for their pups.”

“John was on time. He was very kind. He and our sweet Savannah bonded and has a great weekend. He completed walks and feedings. He assisted with her vitamin. We will plan to use him again and would highly recommend him.”

“Alyssa was MORE than we could have hoped for in a dog sitter. She was so attentive with both our dogs. She took all of their special instructions gladly and made sure they received the level of care that we give. We got messages through the day with updates and pictures. She stayed at our house and the house was just as we left it when we returned. The level of care and professionalism that Alyssa provides is exceptional. By the time we got home from our trip I think they were disappointed to see us walk through the door and not her. 😂😂”

I will walk, feed, and play with your pet to help you give them the extra care they need while you work or take that vacation. I enjoy being active especially with animals so long walks are a favorite past time of mine even during the cold weather months. I look forward to working with you and loving your pets! Thank you for your time! Carla C. I work from home during the week and have the weekends free! I have plenty of time to drop-in and walk your pets if needed. My dogs are crated during the day while I work. Darla gets 3-4 bathroom breaks, while Appa is still being house broken. As far as my client’s home, all I need to know is what their routine is and I go from there.
About: Growing up I have always lived helping others and even helping animals. As a young kid, I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals. Although my college plan is to become a special education teacher, I have always had a passion for animals. I really enjoy giving animals a voice and creating special bonds with them. Over the years my family has rescued over 8 animals including dogs and cats. I have been dog sitting for 3 years now for family friends and I am willing to do it for anyone in need. Animals have always left an impact on my life and I hope I do the same to them. I am not doing this for the money but to help many animals in need, as well as their owners. I really hope I am able to give endless love to you pet or pets. Thank you.
“My cats love Marcus! Even my senior boy Miles who usually hides from strangers came out for him, which says a lot as he's slow to trust people he doesn't know, especially when I'm not there to provide a sense of security for him. Something came up during the stay but Marcus communicated this to me and was able to resolve it with no problems. I've used him multiple times and have always been pleased with the care he has provided to my babies. We will soon be moving out of the area and I'm already sad about having to find a new sitter. Molly, Milo, Max, and Miles will miss the honorary bonus member of the "M" name crew! Thanks for everything!”

My hobbies keep me at my home while working, so I’m available to drop what I’m doing and assist with whatever it is you need! Pets deserved to be treated as an extension of your family and I will treat them as such. I want my clients to feel happy that I’m coming over and your dogs to show their excitement because we have built a relationship and are excited to see me. That being said i will acclimate myself to your needs and make sure your dog is cared for in a way that you can feel stress free while you are not at home.
“Brooke is a wonderful pet sitter! Amigo is a rescue and had a sad beginning so he is sometimes withdrawn around strangers but he immediately loved Brooke! She is so reliable and shows up on time and lets you know her schedule in advance. She is great with animals and a very sweet person. She is very smart and catches on quickly. Reluctantly highly recommend her because if everyone uses her she might be too busy when we need her next and I definitely want her the next time we need a sitter!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Whaleys Crossroads
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 330 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Whaleys Crossroads. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Whaleys Crossroads walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Whaleys Crossroads maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whaleys Crossroads choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
