After our move, my wife and I needed to find a new sitter for our pup. Jessica was very prompt with communications and had a good rapport with Bagel immediately right from the start - put at ease in leaving our pup in her care. Thanks!

Saskia has a lovely home and managed all the different dogs in her care, including her two adorable Pomeranians, so seamlessly. I felt very comfortable knowing she had everything under control. She sent me cute pictures and updates throughout the day. I would highly recommend her to anyone traveling through the area who wants peace of mind knowing their little ones are being cared for with love and attention!

I can’t say enough great things! From the moment I dropped my dog off, they went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable and cared for. They kept me updated throughout the day, sent lots of photos, and made sure he had everything he needed—including feeding him his breakfast. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was not only safe, but truly happy and well taken care of. The level of communication and attention to detail was phenomenal. You can really tell how much they care about the dogs in their care. Highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving place for their pup!

With both me and my boyfriend working in healthcare and having crazy schedules, we decided to get a puppy. Then our work schedules got flipped and we were panicking on what to do with little man while we both had to work Christmas Eve and day and 12hr shifts. Then came a Christmas miracle, Kaitlyn and her amazing family watched over little Apollo. I was so nervous as this was my first time using Rover and I was unsure about the legitimacy, but Kaitlyn had great reviews and went above and beyond to make Apollo feel welcomed in her home and. She stuck to his feeding and training plan, tuckered him out with tons of play and made sure to update me with adorable pictures throughout the day! If you have a chance to book with her I would say absolutely do it, I would trust her with a human child!!

About: 🐾🏡 About Me Hi! I’m a lifelong dog owner, trainer, and former kennel manager with experience caring for all breeds, ages, and personalities. My home is active and structured, with plenty of playtime, exercise, and enrichment. I currently share my home with Border Collies, Labradors, and a few mixed breeds, and we’re active in dog sports like frisbee, obedience, and dock diving. Whether your dog is social or needs their own space, I can accommodate them — as long as they are people-friendly. I strive to make dogs feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you have peace of mind. 🐶 What Your Dog Can Expect Safe, structured, and enriching days: Morning play/walks, breakfast, digest & rest breaks, afternoon activities, and evening wind-down. Large fenced backyard + indoor play area for all weather. Crate-based routine for meals, rest, and overnight for safety and comfort. Daily updates: Photos, videos, and notes so you stay connected. Personalized attention based on your dog’s personality, energy, and needs. 📍 Convenient Location Just 3 miles from Albany Airport Near I-87, I-90, and I-88 — perfect for travelers ✅ What I Provide Expansive fenced yard & indoor play space Wide collection of dog equipment (bring only collar, leash, and food) Experience with puppies, seniors, reactive dogs, and multiple breeds Knowledge of breed-specific needs, safety, and bloat prevention 📌 What I Need From You Vaccinations required: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella Crate-trained dogs only What to bring: Collar, leash, and food (please no beds) Daycare: All daycare dogs require to ha e a m&g and a trial day before being able to book freely. Drop-Ins/House Sitting: Meet & Greet required. Keyless entries only, will not keep keys. 🗓 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Morning: 6:00–7:30 AM Evening: 6:00–7:30 PM No Saturday evenings or holiday exchanges Please specify a time to avoid overlap — residential area, so we keep things calm for neighbors and dogs 💬 Meet & Greets Recommended for all new clients Please schedule at least 2 weeks prior to your stay 📅 Routine & Peak Season Peak Season: May 1 – September 30 Structured routine: multiple outdoor sessions, playtime, meals with digestion breaks, rest periods — no free-for-all boarding ✨ Why Choose Me? I live and breathe dogs — training, sports, and overall enjoyment are my passion. Your pup will get safe, structured care, plenty of exercise, and personal attention while you get peace of mind and daily updates. We keep a very rigid structured routine. Our day starts between 6-7am, with initial let outs--group play if appropriate to get that morning energy out. Then we settle in for breakfast time, all dogs rest 30 minutes prior to meals, 30 minutes to eat, then followed by another 30-60 minutes to digest. This helps prevent bloat( while any size dog CAN bloat--most often occurs in larger/deep chested breeds, but I take no chances). We then are in and out throughout the rest of the day when dinner time commences between 5-6pm, repeating the same 30-30-30/60 routine. Last let outs and romps wrapping up around 10-11pm. I don't operate a free for all. Fully fenced in yard. Specifically zoned areas for potting and play. Daily house keeping services including vacuuming and daily crate wipe down and disinfection. Dogs are outside as much as we can be, under direct supervision weather permitting.

We booked Anna last minute because we were taking a road trip out of town. Anna was so responsive and kept us up to date with pictures. Her family was all very nice and welcoming with us and our puppy lucky. Everything was so great but what I think sets Anna apart is her willingness to go above and beyond! We got printed photos of lucky’s time during his stay with Anna and a report card of how lucky did! Anna was really great and we can’t wait to use her again soon!

About: Hi, I’m Kaitlin Morton! Animals have always been a huge part of my life—growing up, we always had dogs, and that love for pets only grew stronger as I got older. I spent 5 years working at Mohawk Hudson as the Admissions Supervisor and also served as one of the Animal Cruelty Officers. During that time, I worked with pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, which taught me patience, understanding, and how to provide the best care possible. The “bad nuggets” have always been my favorite—I love working with animals who might need a little extra time, reassurance, or structure. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, training reinforcement, or just sticking to their daily routine, I’ll treat your pet like one of my own. My goal is always to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I am very flexible with my schedule, I can work most days at most times. I will always have time for the pups, hope to meet your fur babies How I Care for Pets in My Home: In my home, pets become part of the family. I make sure they are comfortable, safe, and feel right at home. They’ll get plenty of playtime, walks, and snuggles, along with a routine that’s as close to their own as possible. I keep a clean, pet-friendly space with cozy areas for them to rest, and I always supervise play to make sure everyone is happy and safe

About: We’re a mom‑and‑daughter duo devoted to senior dogs and rescues who thrive in calm, loving routines. Our home offers quiet, cage‑free daycare and boarding with a fenced yard, no stairs, and gentle, intuitive care. Every dog is welcomed like family and supported with the patience they deserve. Where sensitive pups, seniors, and rescues feel safe, understood, and loved. We’re a mother–daughter duo devoted to senior dogs, rescues, and pups who thrive in calm, loving routines. Caring for our three rescue dogs, indoor cats, and our 13‑year‑old feral boy is our daily rhythm and full‑time lifestyle. Our home is built on rescue‑rooted compassion, gentle structure, and family‑level comfort. Every dog is welcomed like family, supported with patience, and cared for with the same devotion we give our own rescues. Dogs love staying here because our home feels safe, calm, and deeply loving. Seniors relax with our staircase‑free layout, shy pups blossom with our gentle routines, and adventurous dogs enjoy nature walks, streams, trails, and cozy indoor comfort. Every dog feels understood, protected, and truly at home. Review Note: Seven years ago, before I learned the importance of boundaries, I struggled with scheduling. After a long hiatus, I rebuilt my entire care system with strict capacity limits and clear routines. Today, every dog receives reliable, safe, structured care. We’re not a facility — we’re a small, rescue‑rooted home. We accept only three guest dogs at a time, ensuring calm energy, emotional safety, and individualized care. Seniors and disabled pups are always welcome, regardless of size. A meet & greet ensures compatibility with our three rescues and indoor cats. Our home includes a double‑gated breezeway for safe drop‑offs, a staircase‑free layout, and fully pet‑friendly furniture. Crates are optional and only used if a dog chooses one. Outside, our wide fenced yard offers shade, cooling mats, a small & large size dog pool, and plenty of space for zoomies and gentle exploration. Traditional facilities can be loud, crowded, and overstimulating. Our home is the opposite — quiet, structured, small‑scale, and supervised at all times. Dogs enjoy nature enrichment, gentle routines, cozy sleeping spaces, and real companionship. It’s safer, calmer, and healthier for seniors, rescues, and sensitive pups.

I am so grateful to Kim for watching my dog for daycare. Tuna had a great time hanging out with resident pup, Bella; they ran around in the enclosed back patio and she got to hang outside on the deck which is her favorite pastime while waiting for me to pick her up after work. Kim's son took her on multiple walks each day, including first thing in the morning which gave me peace of mind and made our morning that much easier. I could tell Tuna liked spending the day there which is super important to me; we'd love to be a repeat client due to our positive experience!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Westerlo

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 266 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Westerlo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Westerlo commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 266 sitters in Westerlo, 90% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
