“Petra was so helpful with our dog after he had surgery. We were so grateful for her kind care and she gave us many updates to comfort me when I couldn't be with him. Will work with her again.”

About: I’ve had my own animals, both cats and dogs (mainly cats) since I was 6 years old. I’ve had to administer insulin before to my diabetic cat that has since passed. My experience with dogs are mainly of the bigger size (I had a pitbull/boxer mix and a pure bred chow chow). I’m currently working as a Direct Support Professional overnights 9pm-9am Thursday through Saturday (technically Sunday 9am). So I’m pretty open for picking up last minute gigs if needed. I would love to have a break down of your pets day to day. Typically when they are most ready to play or eat. When potty breaks need to be done around.
About: I’ve taken care of my family’s, neighbors, and friend’s animals of all kinds for years. I enjoy offering them training tips as I have experience from my own dogs and spending time with their pets. I’m currently a college students and have a variety of hours in between and before class during the week and am available on the weekends. I maintain a pretty flexible schedule. I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and my family currently has three dogs and two cats. I love taking care and spending time with them! They all get along well and enjoy time in a fenced in backyard.
About: I have plenty of references and experience with pet care. Growing up, I always had a dog and cat in the home. Currently, I live in an apartment and can’t get a dog. My boyfriend is allergic to cats, so I can’t get a cat either 😢 But I have plenty of friends and family who I have given pet care to. I can read animals pretty well and always prioritize their needs. I currently work full time but would love to use any extra time I have to help out your family. I work 3pm-11pm Sunday-Thursday. I am available all weekends unless my calendar says otherwise. When it comes to caring for pets, I prioritize their needs and make sure they have everything needed. I like to keep the parents in the know of how they are doing and update with pictures as often as possible 😊

“We are so thankful we found Alyssa! She is just amazing with our animals. She is extremely thorough with details of caring for them. She truly went above and beyond and was very responsible. We were so at ease while we were away knowing our animals were in such good hands and would highly recommend her!”

About: My name is Kylie and I’ve always had such a strong passion for animals. I’m currently in school to be a licensed veterinary technician. While I pursue this, I also work full time in an animal emergency clinic. I have had 2+ years of animal emergency experience, including large dogs and cats, and even reptiles like snakes! I am comfortable pilling animals and have direct access to emergency care 24/7 in case your fur babies need it❤️. I currently own 2 cats of my own and a ball python. I’ve owned large dogs my whole life including a Cane Corso & Giant Schnauzer! I currently work full time in the animal emergency clinic. My schedule is Tuesday 11a-11p - Friday 7a-7p - Saturday 1p-1a and I do pick up shifts here and there. With this being said, I can come by before and/or after my shifts. I am currently not accepting boarding as my current living situation is not feasible for more animals than I currently own. I can care for pets in your home!
“We are so lucky we found Bailey to watch our 4 year old holland lop bunny! It’s hard finding people who are familiar with rabbits, and we were lucky that Bailey has one herself and works for a vet so we felt super comfortable. Bailey was great about checking in and went twice a day, cleaned up, made sure she had everything she needed and spent time with her which means a lot. It makes going away much easier when you have the peace of mind that your pet is taken care of. Would recommend Bailey to anyone needing a pet sitter!!”

About: Hi! I’ve lived with animals my whole life and now have a two year old cat and a one year old Australian Shepard we’re raising along side our 5 and 2 year old daughters! I have an extremely flexible schedule and would love to help out other local dog parents who need a hand when they can’t be around. I look forward to meeting you! I’m a nanny who currently works part time! My oldest goes to school and my youngest will be joining her in the fall. I’ve dog sat for friends and they’ve often come with me so even if they’re around and my husband isn’t, I could still be available. I love playing with our high energy dog and have trained her to do some pretty cool tricks. I definitely have a lot of patience for our animals as well. We stay pretty active and while we’re working on our fence we have a long lead in the back yard. I have a large playpen as well as a few crates if needed while having a dog in our home! Our dog loves all other animals and so do our kids so as long as yours is comfortable around other dogs and kiddos they’re welcome to come play!
“This was Shannon’s second time watching my boys while I was away. She’s so good with them and they love her. She works on training with my younger dog, Apollo, who can be a handful. She is great at communicating and her availability is always up to date. I’m looking forward to rehiring her.”
“Sophia did an amazing job watching my 2 dogs! She sent detailed updates, lots of photos, and went above and beyond to make sure they felt comfortable while I was gone for 10 days. She maintained a high level of communication and I never had to worry. I highly recommend her for taking care of any pet you need!”

About: I am an experienced and dedicated pet caregiver with a lifelong love of animals. I have previously owned both a Beagle and a Greyhound and am currently a proud cat parent to seven cats. In addition, I have successfully fostered and cared for eight litters of kittens, providing attentive care from infancy through adoption readiness. My experience extends beyond my own pets, as I regularly help care for my family's pets, including two dogs and a cat. I have also provided reliable pet-sitting services for close friends, caring for multiple dogs, cats, fish, and reptiles while they were away on vacation or at work. I understand that every pet has unique needs, personalities, and routines, and I am committed to providing compassionate, dependable care that helps pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. My goal is to treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply maintaining their regular routine, I am dedicated to ensuring they receive the attention and care they deserve. As a full-time college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable pet care, including walks, feeding, and in-home visits. Pet care is a great fit for me because it complements my studies while giving me the opportunity to spend time with animals I love. Your fur babies will receive plenty of attention and companionship, and they'll make wonderful study buddies while I ensure they are happy, safe, and well cared for. Pets are family to me. My own animals are spoiled with love, affection, and attention, and I treat every pet I care for as if they were my own. I understand that being away from their owners can be stressful, so I make it a priority to give them plenty of love, comfort, playtime, and companionship to help them feel happy and secure until their family returns.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 519 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Westerlo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westerlo. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
