“Jennifer was great with my 5 fur babies!! They all warmed up to her super fast. She sent pics and updates every day. I came home to happy animals. I would love to book her again in the future.”

“We love Tonia! She was fantastic with our two treasured pups. She was attentive, loving, and very clean/ organized, which always makes coming home a delight. She made sure to send a lot of pictures so we always knew our babies were well cared for. 100% recommend!”

“Julie kept us well informed about how Cooper was doing. He had nice long walks and play time in the yard with Julie. These are things we are unable to do with him so he loved it. Definitely would use Julie again.”

“100% recommend Kathleen!! She treats your pet like her own. Very respectful of our home. Took our dog on a walk every night & fed our fish. It’s hard for us to take a vaca & leave our baby at home, Kathleen made the process easy.”

“Serenity was wonderful. So communicative and there for my animals around the clock. I had a friend drop out at the last minute and was unable to take care of our animals but serenity was ready to take care of them the second I reached out. She has done a great job of taking care of my dog pets needs and making me feel secure in her care. I would definitely recommend her and would love to use her services in the future!”

“Alex is a fantastic pet sitter. The instructions for my senior cat can be a bit complicated - Alex took care of her and our golden retriever so well. Highly recommend. She left our house the way we left it, was very communicative, and trustworthy person.”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a little girl and that has been many many years ago. I have also worked as an animal tech and research assistant where I maintained animal colonies and worked with large animals. I believe having animals in your life is a blessing. I am retired and I love animals so I thought I would give some love and attention to the animals that need some attention while the owner is away from them. I have a fenced in yard that the dogs can run and play. I am also there with the dogs most if not all of the day.
“Ben is literally the BEST!!! Blue loves his boy time with him when I got out of town. He gives me daily updates and pictures. I know Blue is safe with Ben and my heart couldnt be more happy!!”

“Cassie stayed at our house to watch our babies while we were in Europe for 9 days. Our littles have had a lot of health issues this year and even though they are mostly stable now, we were nervous leaving them alone. Cassie made two visits to our house prior to our trip to make sure she understood all the details around their care. Thankfully there were no issues while we were gone. We returned to happy, healthy pets and a clean home. We are incredibly grateful to Cassie and will definitely use her services again in the future.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have over 30 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up with cats and have spent the last several years loving my own Aussiedoodle, Scout. We recently lost our cat, and I truly miss those kitty cuddles, so I’d be thrilled to spend time caring for yours. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, or simply giving your pet companionship while you’re away, I’ll treat them like family. I’m active, dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet’s routine exactly as you prefer. I’ll also send plenty of photo and text updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I work for myself, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide dependable care throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet check-ins. Whether your pet needs a midday potty break, a long walk, or some extra love while you’re away, I’ll do my best to accommodate your schedule and keep your furry family member happy, exercised, and cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I understand that every animal has a unique personality and routine, so I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs. I believe in earning both your trust and your pet’s trust through patience, consistency, and kindness. You’ll receive regular updates and photos during each visit, and I’ll always treat your home with the same respect I’d expect someone to show mine.

“Ashley did a great job watching our pups. Communication was fantastic… pics and texts, as we’d discussed up front. She even checked on our chickens when the weather became unseasonably warm! Thanks Ashley!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have developed a genuine understanding of their needs, personalities, and routines. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to providing every dog with safe, caring, and enjoyable walks. I am currently not working while focusing on my back care, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of open availability for pet sitting. I care for pets like they’re my own, following their routines, providing food and fresh water, giving plenty of attention, and keeping them comfortable.
“Jon did an excellent job watching my dog and kitten! He was very communicative and sent pictures every day. I would highly recommend Jon as a sitter to others and will be looking to book him again!”

About: The things that separate me from other sitters are my active lifestyle, strong communication, adaptability/ flexibility and silliness! I love to go hiking, running, swimming at the family lake, explore dog parks and other fun activities while sitting. Options are endless and will keep you posted with fun photos, videos and other messages to make sure you know your pet is safe. I do not ADD ANY STRESS. Quite the opposite. I am here to help and relieve the stress of boarding your pet. And I'm okay with being scheduled same day or same day cancellation. I understand things come up, please just try and be certious and thoughtful though with lack of communication. (Please be aware that my rates are subject to change based on my availability, commute to/from work, time spent with the dog and many other factors. Please not that I do NOT make as much as you pay, rover app takes a good chunk out of what you pay. Graituity and tips are highly encouraged if you want quality care and repeat stays/ watches. ) My rule of thumb: I aim to make about $75-$125/ day for house sitting and animal care. I am to make about $25/ hour so that would require me to spend about 4-5 hours on ruotine pet car (walks, feeding, taking out, medicine, adventures + household chores ect.) I have to factor in gas money, taxes, and rover fees so please consider that when booking. I am willing to go the extra mie and make your dog's stay a vacation and spend all day with them, I just expect to be fault comensated. Some dogs (+multiple dogs, cats ect.) require lots more attention than others. I find it very hard to work full time and pet/ house sit. As I am trying to move away from my other job and pet sit closer to full-time. I love animals but they are lots of work, as we know! Please be curtious and respectful of my time and love I show your pets. I am currently working part-time as a rideshare driver and am part-time student in grad school to get my masters in psychology. And back living at my parents house with a big yard in the basement to play in. When I am pet sitting I revolve my life around the needs of the pet and adapt my schedule to their potty breaks and eating habits. Like I said, I'm flexible and easygoing and luckily don't have too much on .y plate right now besides studying and private rides mostly at night! I have backup as well with my cousin who lives with me. Leashes all the time if they could get away or in public. I have a stand outside with a long leash for extended outside time but am usually just side-by-side the pet most of the time so they are in good eyes. Clean environment, no drugs, no partying, no garbage laying around. (I live with my parents currently in Montgomery, OH and they are on board as well as they love pets too!)

About: I have always cared for my friends animals when they are traveling and I also have had my cat Nola for 5 years. I’m also familiar with animals having anxiety and how to care for them by creating a routine that’s safe and fun. I have an open schedule currently so I’m open to flexibility during the day and some afternoons. I’m on break from my Masters program so my time is pretty open. I would make sure that any special needs your sweet baby needs is taken care of with extreme amount of love and care. I understand how important it is to be gentle especially when meeting new pets who might have anxiety.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 972 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Westboro. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westboro walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westboro maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westboro choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
