“Madison was amazing!!! Ranger is a very energetic pup and he had the best time with her and her dogs. She worked with all my requests and sent tons of pictures. I would give 10 stars if I could!!! I will definitely recommend her.”

“Dina did an awesome job with my Lady. She kept me informed about what was going on with it. I will be recommending her to all my friends. Will definitely use her again.”

“Erin is great! She sent me updates every day and pictures of my dog. She responds promptly to all messages. She is very kind and caring person. My dog was happy and healthy when I picked her up. I would highly recommend Erin.”

“Amazing experience! I was very nervous about leaving him but Cheyenne, her family, and her dogs were amazing and Koda had so so much fun! We will definitely be sending him again!”

“Went well, my pup seems happy and well taken care of. A little hard to communicate, but they were flexible with my pickup and drop off times. They took him to the dog park and on multiple walks.”

“Selena was absolutely wonderful! So many pictures and updates. We were so happy with all the continuous communication throughout our dogs stay with her. She is so nice and the dogs had plenty of outdoor time and play with her friendly dog! Would definitely recommend!”

“We are really thankful with Kim and her husband, both are great! You can tell they love animals and that they take care of them while at their house. The communication with them is great, they would keep us posted all the time , send us pictures and an awesome video of Marley :)”
“My pups were happy and exhausted when I picked them up from all the playing they did on the farm. Victoria was very sweet and knowledgeable. My 11 month old dachshund had really regressed in potty training and since Victoria is a certified trainer, she was able to give me some helpful tips on how to reverse that. I plan to keep in touch with her for private training sessions as well in the near future!”

“Haley was great with our little nervous rescue pup! She sent updates and reassured us that our dog was in good hands. We’ll definitely use Haley again.”

About: I’m an experienced pet and dog lover who has been actively involved in animal rescue for 25 years. I’ve worked with dogs and cats of every type and temperament—from high-energy pups and shy rescues to senior pets and those with special needs. I currently share my home with two dogs of my own and remain very active with local animal rescue efforts. I work from home, so I’m available for boarding, daytime care, last-minute requests, and nearby potty-break drop-ins in the community. Your pets will receive plenty of enrichment throughout the day, lots of outdoor time, and a calm, consistent routine. They’ll have access to comfortable furniture, socialization opportunities (when appropriate), and engaging activities so they feel secure and stimulated while in my care. I typically accept dogs up to 40 lbs and can make exceptions for larger, well-trained dogs. I’m happy to care for multiple dogs at once when schedules and temperaments allow. As a lifelong animal lover, I genuinely enjoy the time I spend with pets and am committed to giving them the same attention, patience, and care I would want for my own. I look forward to meeting your furry family members and providing a safe, enriching experience they (and you) can trust. I work from home, so I’m available for boarding, daytime care, last-minute requests, and nearby potty-break drop-ins in the community any day of the week. As a work-from-home pet sitter, I offer flexible availability for overnight boarding, daytime care, last-minute bookings, and local potty-break drop-ins. Your pet will enjoy a calm, consistent routine filled with plenty of outdoor time and daily enrichment. I provide a secure and stimulating environment complete with cozy furniture, interactive activities, and opportunities for safe socialization when appropriate.
“First time leaving our dogs with anyone outside of the family and Kristen was great. Frequent communication, attention to detail and lots of playtime. We were very impressed.”

“Olivia went way beyond expectation! She took excellent care of our 70+ lb. golden doodle who needs lots of love and attention while we were out of town. This was the absolute best dog sitter experience we have had and we will definitely be using her again!!”

About: About Me Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them isn’t just something I enjoy—it’s something I do professionally. I own a pet-sitting business serving Central Kentucky. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and horses of different ages, sizes, personalities, and needs. I’m comfortable with multi-pet households, senior pets, animals with special routines, and pets who need a little extra patience to become comfortable with someone new. I’m also a lifelong animal owner myself, so I understand how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust with your pets. I pay attention to the little things—changes in appetite, behavior, bathroom habits, mobility, or anything else that seems unusual—and I believe in keeping owners updated so they can relax while they’re away. What You Can Expect I’m comfortable following detailed feeding and care instructions, maintaining your pet’s normal routine, walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, providing playtime and companionship, and giving each pet the individual attention they need. I especially enjoy working with animals who may be shy, particular, anxious, or simply need time to decide that a new person is trustworthy. I don’t expect every pet to immediately love me—I’m happy to earn their trust at their pace. Safety & Communication Your pet’s safety comes first. I follow owner instructions carefully, keep a close eye on the animals in my care, and communicate promptly if I notice anything concerning. You’ll also receive updates so you know how your pets are doing while you’re away. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pets in someone else’s hands. My goal is for you to come home to happy animals who have been well cared for and whose normal routine has been disrupted as little as possible. Whether you have one spoiled house cat, an energetic dog, a senior who likes to take things slowly, or a whole household of four-legged family members, I’d be happy to care for them. Although I work as a substitute teacher, there are many days I am home part or all of the day. While I have a generic routine, I like to know the pets usual routine so I can cater to that as much as is possible. I have a small fenced yard, but most importantly, my apartment is set up with pet safety in mind. I have gates and latches to prevent accidental runners, my cat has her own space to keep away from other animals, I have the space and ability to separate dogs if needed. Ultimately I treat them like my own. They are welcome in my bed, have free run of the common areas, have lots of toys... I am always up for snuggles and fun!
“Megan was great!! She sent regular updates and sent lots of pictures. Bella fit right in with her crew of dogs. I highly recommend if needed a pet sitter!”

“Fabulous care and communication. I have a special needs little dog and she did great. My other dog didn’t even miss us. Will definitely use Tania again.”

“Communication and understanding and ability to accommodate on the fly was outstanding. Nova came back to me happy and relaxed. Would definitely recommend Brian to anyone and will definitely rebook.”
“Tanya was seriously great. We ended up testing positive for COVID just 4 hours into our 2-day board and she was so understanding and flexible. While she had Maple, she made her very comfortable and sent lots of photos. Tanya clearly loves animals and will take good care of your pets! Highly recommended and will use her services again.”

About: I have 3 cats and 2 dogs of my own right now and have always had fur families - small to medium dogs, cats, and hamsters, young and old and anywhere in between. I train my puppies/dogs and kittens/cats for basic safety and helping them get used to being handled for grooming. I also do pee pad and/or outside potty training and crate training for puppies/dogs. I’m experienced with giving medicine to both dogs and cats as well as using diapers on senior dogs. I’m able to check on or walk your fur family typically after 5:30 p.m. during the weekdays. I’m available for boarding after 5:30 p.m. on Friday and through the weekends. One of my dogs particularly loves playing with other dogs to keep your dog company! We have a long leash that can be used for the dogs to run around in our big backyard. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet overall. I can also crate your dog as needed or to provide a quiet environment inside the house. I will do my utmost best to respect your wishes and prioritize the safety and comfort of your fur family. I love taking and sending pictures and updates!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Westbend home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Westbend.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Westbend sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
