“Mia is a very sweet, reliable young lady. We were pleased with her care of our two dogs and our house. Good communication and she followed all of our directions. We would recommend her.”

“Hannah was awesome! It was so nice being able to leave our dog at our home vs boarding. He was very well cared for and was his happy typical self when we got home. We’d definitely request Hannah’s pet sitting again!”
“We loved having Sarah care for Clyde. We came home from an extended trip to a happy and well cared for pup! 🐶 💕 We look forward to having her back to help in the future.”

“Zania was absolutely fantastic with our pit bull & cats. Our pittie is calm & lovey inside, but when he gets outside, he’s a crazy man. Zania handled him with great ease and is very knowledgeable with dogs and training. We had 1 night away and we were updated about walks, feedings, pictures, and given a bedtime pup-date ( update at the end of the day) We could not have asked for more. We are thrilled to welcome her to our house for more pet sitting.”

“Brooke was wonderful with our dog, Sage. She took great care of him and of our home, and was very communicative so we knew everything was going well the whole time we were away.”

“Alexandria did a meet and greet before booking so that we could get an idea if she was a right fit for our two dogs. She was responsible and sent pictures of our dogs. Would definitely use her again!”

“We are SO glad we found Tyler… couldn’t be happier! He stayed with our sometimes over reactive dog for a week and it went well . Tyler is very attentive and kind. Sent updates and could easily be reached. Kept house clean and neat. Was great before our trip coming over to let our dog get used to him. So appreciated… will definitely use him again! Feel like we can go away and our dog is in caring hands. Thanks Tyler!!”

About: I had a border Collie for 17 years now an American shepherd for 1.5 years and he's fully trained already he's great just still a pup. Currently I work part time for an Amish company and I do morning pick ups and evening drop off with Thursday me being at the job all day. With time in advance I can move stuff around if need be. Im basically free all week during the times everyone is working. Well my dog i train and make sure he's behaving before he gets a reward. I don't always make him do stuff for tricks, but I practice commands daily and when it's not raining we go on walks, unfortunately he gets car sick so long drives aren't great for him still. I hug him tell him he's great tell him when he's done something bad as well, Play with toys and I'm currently working on him knowing what toy I'm telling him to get
About: I have had dogs my entire life and every single one of them has had a piece of my heart! I presently have two senior dogs and one three-year old, who probably feels as passionately about dogs as I do! I have also lived with, loved, and taken care of several cats over the last 13 years. Growing up, I was responsible for taking care of my family’s lizards and frogs. I presently am able to control my own schedule and can make myself available for any last-minute or unexpected pet care needs that you may have. Currently, my only blocked off time for certain is Wednesdays from 5:30pm-9:30pm In my home, I have a fenced in yard to ensure that outside time is safe and fun. If you do not have a fenced in space but are still looking for your pup to have some outdoor time, I always ensure a leash is used to keep them safe. I have successfully used components of behavior analysis to build trust and confidence in my own dogs, while also ensuring that I understand their own behavioral cues to prevent stress in new or different situations. This includes shaping behaviors, frequent reinforcement, and pairing with new dogs to demonstrate that I am a safe person in their environment. Should transportation ever need to occur, I have a seat belt that clips to any standard harness as well as a seat cover that prevents climbing over the center console. I have a number of 6-foot leashes as well as 2 30-foot leashes to allow for safe running in open spaces, and an expandable 10-foot leash.
“Colleen K. kept me at ease by sending me pics and telling me what she and Harvey were doing. There didn't seem to be any problems. The house and my pet were completely fine when I got home.”

“Sydney took great care of our two cats and our house while we were away for the weekend. She kept us well informed with plenty of updates (at our request!). She’s very professional and she left our place looking better than when she found it! We would absolutely trust her to care for our kitties and home again.”

“Melissa was fantastic! She took care of Sir Winston on very short notice when we had other arrangements fall through. We were later than expected getting home, and she agreed to stay with Winston until we got there. Winston doesn’t always warm up to new people quickly, but he immediately liked Melissa. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have been a cat owner for more than two decades. I have helped family and friends with their dogs over the same amount of time. I currently work full-time, but I have set days off and every other weekend I am also available to pet sit. I can work walks into my schedule easily, but sitting only a few times a week. I do not bring pets home with me since we have limited space, but I am more than fine at your place. I keep the place clean if your puppers has an accident.
“Tyler stayed with our two high-needs Boston terriers for a week. Not only did he take incredible care of the pups, he left our place completely immaculate, even taking care of laundry and sweeping up. He is so above and beyond, and we felt very comfortable during our trip thanks to his frequent updates and thorough care. Thanks so, so much for being so great to our wild pups!”

“Emily was respectful of our house and left it exactly how it was found. It was so nice knowing the dogs were in good hands and well taken care of. Hopefully Emily is available every time we need a dog sitter b/c I’d welcome her back each and every time! Thank you, Emily, for taking care of Tyson and Lilly while we enjoyed our last camping trip of the season.”

“Bethany did a wonderful job with our dogs. One of our dogs is known to be uppity and Bethany was patient with her. She finally won her over after several days which is quite an accomplishment. Bethany communicated well with pics and video often over the two weeks. We truly appreciate her care and attention to our animals and our home.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Willow walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Willow maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Willow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Willow. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
