About: I have cared for my own dog for the past 13 years and sadly he died in February 2025. I walked him around my neighborhood consistently for all those years and now having that routine gone is difficult. Before having him as my own, I also helped take care of my families dog for several years. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and demeanors and all sizes too :) I am attending SUNY Cortland right now and that is the only large barrier in my weekly schedule. I can care and/or walk dogs after 7pm on Monday and Wednesdays. I am available after 4pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday I can provide care all day with a days notice. Without notice I will most likely be working on Friday and therefore not available until after 4pm that day. I can house-sit on Fridays and Saturdays and into Sunday afternoon as well! I will maintain a safe and calm environment for your pet while caring for them and allow them to initiate any desired games or actions. I am willing to accommodate however you prefer for your dog when caring for them, just let me know of anything necessary :) Any questions or concerns for your dog's care are welcomed and appreciated as I prefer a heads up in advance of anything unusual or to keep an eye out/for. I have decades worth of experience caring for dogs, cats and other small pets, from my own to friends and clients in the professional setting. My goal is to provide a sense of physical, mental, and emotional well being for your pet. I am here to help fill in the gaps in your busy schedules and be there. So whether your pal needs a hike, walk around the neighborhood, a feeding, medication dose (dogs and cats) or just a visit, I have your back. We all need movement, attention and praise, pets included. I use positive reinforcement as training method, for all pets at every stage. So whether you have a puppy with some aggression issues, a husky that needs a run, a diabetic cat, fish to be fed and admired, or an stinky old man dog that just needs to be sung to and told he's a good boy I am here to serve. I have two cats personally, they run the household and tell me what to do. They eat twice a day, get their boxes cleaned daily, and petted and played when they decide. Monday- Thursday I am available for pet visits from 10:30-2:30 and again from 5-9 pm Fridays - I am available from 10:30-1:00 for visits Weekends-vary During daycare hours I will always be in the home with your pet unless we are going on an outing together. Play, snacks, walks, songs, and naps will be provided daily. I do have two cats, who will probably stay out of the way, but cat friendly creatures are always preferred.
