About: As a lifelong pet owner, I truly love spending time with dogs and cats (especially dogs!). I have boarded and sat with dogs of all ages and sizes for as short as an overnight stay to as long as several months. I also have experience with medical needs including injections and offer complimentary baths before they come home. Training is available upon request. ALL STAYS REQUIRE A CONSULTATION VISIT! This is to ensure that I understand how to best care for your animal. I am currently a stay at home pet mom and my husband typically works from home. I usually get up around 7:00 AM and feed our animals then spend the day with them at home or running errands. I am able to care for dogs in my home or in yours and care for cats ONLY in your home. We live in a single story house with a fenced in backyard and a doggy door. I require a consultation before boarding in our home and will invite you to come by, see the space, and let me know what times they eat, any medical needs, etc.
“Brianna was great! She took good care of my dogs. They were both happy and healthy when I got home. I got photo updates every visit she made and that really helps when you’re as nervous leaving your pets as I am.”

About: I’ve built my pet care skills through both real-life experiences and years of working with animals. I’ve done basic training with my own dogs, worked three years as a vet tech, and have been a trusted word-of-mouth house sitter for about three years. I’m confident with all animals (excluding snakes), seniors, medication administration, and pets with special needs. My priority is making every animal feel safe and loved while in my care! I work a full-time 8–5 job, but pet care fits easily into my routine. For drop-in visits, I typically go before work, during my lunch break, after work, and again later in the evening as needed. For walks, I'm available early mornings (before 7:30AM) or afternoons (after 5PM). I provide great level of attention and care in your home. I always have thorough conversations with owners to make sure every need—yours and the pet’s—is understood and respected. You’re welcome to request photos or videos at any time!

“Lara went over and beyond for our special needs kitties! The peace of mind she brought us while we were gone was priceless. She was professional, prompt, and kind. Our kitties are crazy, but I sure hope Lara will be their sitter again next time!”
About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was around 12. From feeding neighbors chickens while they were away, to staying in families houses to look after their puppies while they’re away, I’ve experienced a wide range of pet care. As the owner of an elderly cat, I am very gentle and calm, perfect for elderly pets or any sweeties that require a low stress environment. However, as the owner of a golden retriever, I know how to keep the excited ones entertained! I am a full time college student, and have a few classes everyday— no more than 3 a day and they are no longer than 2 hours at a time. I’m free in the mornings and evenings for whatever is needed! My yard is fenced, though there is an in ground pool, so I would not leave any pets unattended outside. I could crate dogs if needed. I have a friendly golden retriever to keep your babies company. I also have two cats who are sweet and mind their business. As far as in a clients home, I am very respectful of all house rules and follow any instructions given closely.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Monroe
We had a great experience with Tracey while we were out of town. She took excellent care of our cat and made sure everything was handled just the way we asked. It was clear she genuinely cared, not just about completing the task, but about making sure our cat felt comfortable and less stressed while we were away. She was reliable, easy to communicate with, and gave us peace of mind knowing our pet was in good hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat, which says everything. I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable and attentive.

Emily did a great job! The photos she sent me when I was out of town demonstrated that my cats were relaxed and happy. She even got a picture of my very skittish kitty sitting on a rug and that was a major accomplishment! Everyone was well taken care of while I was out of town. I highly recommend Emily and I will use her the next time I’m out of town.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
