“Nicole and Michael took wonderful care of our boy Murphy and communicated with us regularly with texts and photos to keep us updated on how he was doing. We are very comfortable using them again and recommending them to others.👍”

“Inge was amazing with my pup! She sent picture updates to let me know how she was doing. Rosie had such a good time at her house that when I came to pick her up, she didn't want to leave! I am so glad I found Inge and we will certainly be back when needed!”

“Laura and Tyler were great with my dog! He has pretty bad separation anxiety which makes it very difficult to leave him new places. Laura was awesome about introducing her dogs one by one and letting him get accustomed to her dogs and her home. She tried different areas to see where he would be most comfortable and really put time and effort into getting him to relax and be comfortable. She kept me up to date and make me feel a lot better about where he was and how he was doing. I would definitely use them again when we're in the Adirondacks!”
“You are absolutely fantastic dog sitters. Thank you for sharing the pictures and how our Darcy girl is right at home in your home. We laughed so hard that she was helping you with your chores. 😊”

“This was our first time using Peggy on Rover. Our cocker spaniel, Sadie did awesome at her home. My Sadie really took to and loved spending time with her husband. Peggy was in contact with us daily with a picture and updates. We never worried while away we knew Sadie was in good hands. Our experience was everything we had hoped for. Thank you Peggy and we will definitely use you in the future and pass your name onto our friends.”

“Took great care of my pup! Was willing to accommodate his special needs. Received lots of updates and pictures. My pup had a great time and was well loved. Will be booking again in the future.”

“Sadie was absolutely wonderful. I was very nervous leaving my pup August and she was very communicative, sent lots of pictures, and August came home happy and healthy. I would highly recommend Sadie to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter for their fur baby.”

“Taylor is an animal lover and it shows! I feel 100% easy leaving our puppy with her. He has had a great time (2X visits) with an additional drop in. So thrilled I found her!”

“Lauren was a great fit for Birdie! I received pics and updates during her stay and could tell that Birdie was well cared for, having fun, and happy. Birdie even made a new best friend during her stay with Lauren’s pup! Most importantly though, at pickup and afterwards, Birdie was calm and very much seemed like herself which to me means that Birdie felt safe and had a good stay! I am already planning to book again!”

“Andrea is AMAZING! This was my first time boarding my dachshund puppy and she made me feel so comfortable. She updated me with pictures several times a day and was super accommodating to my last-minute plans. Can’t wait to use Andrea again the next time I am in the area.”

“Addy is the sweetest and has taken wonderful care of our dog Sage while we were working out of town. Her communication, photos and kind nature make her easy to work with on Rover and exceptional to have such a genuine and great individual hanging out and give our pup extra love when we’re gone. She has a way of connecting with dogs that makes them very comfortable and she definitely goes above and beyond to make it an awesome experience, thank you so much Addy. We look forward to booking with you again!! :) -Lucy, Mike & Sage”

“Ali was awesome ! She was easy to set up a meet and greet with. She was very flexible with our schedule for pick up and even picked up our blacklab so we could make one less stop as we were heading to a concert. She sent pictures through out our dogs stay and kept us updated. Her dog was also a great playmate for ours . Will definitely use Ali as a dog sitter next time .”
“Had such a great experience with Ella! Very accommodating when we had some travel dates move around. She was great at communicating and sharing pictures of our little guy while we were away. Would love to use Ella again😀”

About: I have owned dogs my whole life and am a PhD student looking to use my exercise/break time taking care of your dog! Mondays to Wednesday I have open availability and Thursday to Sundays I am open from about 10AM to 2PM. I am super flexible and happy to follow your doggie rules. I have done formal training for rescue pups and understand dog behaviour/warning signs/signs of stress etc as well as any human can. I like to take my own dog with me most places, hiking, camping, you name it. I have owned dogs from 30lb to 90lb and ones who are super loving and those who are more shy. I am used to dealing with a more shy dog on a regular basis. Hope to hear from you!

Absolutely amazing with my Mollie. I had never left my Lil girl before and blessed to find them. Kept in constant communication during my trip with many amazing pictures. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
97% of sitters in West Hebron can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their West Hebron home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your West Hebron.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your West Hebron sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
