About: Hi there! I’m Heather, and I’m a cat lady. My cats have allowed me to join this app. They are used to me coming home smelling like other animals. GASP! I used to be extremely anxious when I would have to leave my cats overnight, when I traveled for work or was going on vacation. Then a few people recommended the Rover app to me, and I found an amazing cat sitter. I still miss my feline overlords when I am away now, but I don’t worry as much about how they are doing or what they are getting in to. I want to do the same for you. Go on your trip knowing that your best fur friends are in good hands! I have always had cats in my life, and I can’t imagine how dull my life would be without them. I am always looking to make new fur friends, so I would love to meet your pets. I currently have 3 cats of my own, but occasionally have more. They just seem to find me, and I never turn away an animal in need. I have also done some pet rescue work and help to maintain two feral cat colonies near my home. Have cats with medical needs? No problem! I am a registered nurse (for humans), and adopt cats who have been abandoned or surrendered because of medical issues. I believe every soul deserves love and to feel safe, despite what their medical issues might be. I have had cats with diabetes who needed insulin, kidney disease and needed sub-q IV fluids, kitty dementia, deafness, IBD, mega colon, FIV, hemophilia, and the worst of all…major catitude! I am comfortable giving medications, insulin, and whatever else your furry friend might need. I am also not afraid of “mean” kitties or “hissy” kitties. I just meet them where they are, and do my best to convince them that I just want to be friends. I am also comfortable administering medications/treatments to dogs, I just have more experience with cats. I work nightshift and have a different schedule every week, but I would (and have) go without sleep to make sure all the kitties in my care get what they need and have fun while their parents are away. I do have my own car and of course would take your cat to their veterinarian if the need ever arises.

“We accidentally left the door locked, and Angela kindly waited for us to call her with the code. She even made a return trip for us once we finally were able to get the door unlocked, I would highly recommend her. She is a faithful and determined pet sitter.”

About: I’ve personally had pets and cared for them for over 20 years. Professionally I’ve helped many others care for their pets. I’m experienced, insured and will care for your pets with the same dedication that I have to my own pets. I’m currently working part time with a flexible schedule. I have always have time to care for your pets and my wife, who is also an animal lover, helps me on occasion if needed. I will be respectful of any rules you have for your own home, and uphold routines and training you have in place with your pets. My own home is animal friendly and safe, and I have a fenced in yard for my own two medium sized dogs.

About: I volunteered at a dog shelter for about three years in which I was properly trained and learned a lot about animal behaviors and expressions. I am extremely reliable and educated on how to properly care for dogs and cats. I am currently a grad school student studying counseling and have lots of availability for the upcoming year. Unfortunately, I am unavailable Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I have a loving Brittany spaniel and since he is very playful and active I have a backyard. Unfortunately, I will be unable to board in my home because he is very selective on his doggy friends and would not want to risk anything.

“Tim and Ally are super reliable and extremely flexible. They’ve saved us in a few binds and our pets love them. Our dog stares out the window waiting for them to arrive!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for 10 years. I started a while ago taking care of my neighbors’ cats while they were away and walking another neighbor’s dog. This dog was not friendly with other dogs and I effectively managed walking her with no issues. More recently, I volunteer at Kitty Cottage Adoption Center and take care of my own two cats. I have experience in administering medications, brushing teeth, and even training my own cats to do tricks! I would love to learn more about how I can help meet your family’s needs! I’m currently working 3 days a week which allows me lots of flexibility on my off days. I would love to learn more about your needs to see if I’m the best sitter for you! Safety is my top priority when it comes to pets. I always ensure the environment is pet friendly and there’s nothing your pet can get into while you’re gone. I am attentive and make sure all toys are put away that can be harmful for pets when unsupervised like cat wands/teasers. I have great communication skills and am a trustworthy individual.

Megan C.
“Megan recently took care of our cat Oreo while we were out of town. He is a moody 12 year old cat who loves food and treats but is currently on a diet that his vet prescribed for his health. It’s been an adjustment for Oreo, but Megan was very understanding when we told her about the parameters for how much he could eat per day. It was comforting to know that while we were away we had someone we could trust to take proper care of him. She also sent us pictures of him which was very appreciated as it’s always hard being away from him :( We will definitely be hiring Megan again. She is trustworthy, communicative, and very comfortable around other people’s pets.”
