“Heather was absolutely amazing for our short trip up north for a wedding. She took great care of our boys, took them for plenty of walks and sent lots of pictures of them enjoying themselves. If we are ever back up that way we will definitely book with her again. Thank you so much for everything !!!”

“Kimberly is such a wonderful person and clearly loves our little girl Piper J. Longbottom. We were so happy to get pictures and knew Piper was in good hands. We highly recommend her to anyone considering hiring her.”

About: I love all animals! At home, I currently have a feisty tabby cat, and the sweetest Akita around❤️ Both require lots of love, time, and attention, but life wouldn’t be the same without them. Prior to starting on this app, I have gained experience, in the past, when I was employed as a dog sitter at a local daycare in Wisconsin Dells. I also have done yearly sitting jobs up to a week for various neighbors around town for foster dogs of all ages, and breeds, and cats! I currently have a part-time job. I consistently work on the weekends from 8:00am to 2pm on Saturdays, and Sundays. Occasionally I pick up extra shifts during the weekdays, but shifts are consistent to 5 hour increments. If I have any extra shifts scheduled, I will be sure to inform you prior to my stay. I am more than willing to come in between those times. I do not currently open my own home as I have a large Akita that requires to be the spotlight. But when stating client homes, I am open to the majority of situations. I ask that if your pet requires special instructions, or precautions, list them clearly, and I will work around them!
“We had an amazing experience with Amber! She went above and beyond in every way. She stayed overnight with our dogs, took them on walks, and kept us updated with plenty of pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. The biggest surprise was coming home to our dogs’ feeding station it had been spotless! We had left it pretty messy, and she cleaned it immaculately without us ever asking. That level of care and attention to detail meant so much to us. It’s obvious she genuinely loves animals and treated our dogs like they were her own. They were happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely be booking with her again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, thoughtful, and truly exceptional!”

“Rebecca was awesome. She was kind and patient with Derby. She sent pictures and messages through out our weekend. It was comforting to knowing my girls were happy and safe. I will definitely ask her to come back and recommend her to others.”

About: Bilingual and able to communicate with families in Spanish, as well. Neighbors and friends have trusted me to care for their pets/homes for almost 7 years. They often say we're (my fiance and I) the only ones they trust to care for their pets. I have experience with senior pets and worked at a rescue previously. Excited to be going full time pet sitting/walking in 2026! I'm very reliable, flexible and am available last minute, 7 days a week and on holidays. I take extra care to keep pets happy, safe and comfortable. I follow instructions given and use caution when necessary to prevent any escapes. I do not do boarding in my home.

“Olivia was just what we wanted and needed for our trip. She and Addie safe at the homefront were a superb solution for our family! We won't hesitate one bit to call her again for another booking. Thanks Olivia!”

“Ashley was wonderful with my pup. She checked in on her multiple times per day, sent me updates and photos from each encounter. Would definitely use her again and again. Its the second time i left my dog home alone for multiple days under Ashley’s care.”

“Grace was exceptional!! She gave both our animals love and care with enthusiasm! She followed all of our directions and was willing to go beyond expectations. I will definitely ask for Grace again. Thank you.”

“I recently returned from my 2nd multi-day hiking trip! Since I didn’t want to burden my sweet neighbor with kitty duties, I decided to take a chance on this thing called Rover.com. I specifically wanted to find someone that could spend the night in my home so kitty wouldn’t be lonely. (No judgement...my kitty just lost her companion of 10 years and it's really changed her.) Booooy, did I strike sitter GOLD! Kelly Flackey did an awesome job for me! She came over to meet us before the job. From the very first minute, she had a definite “read” on my kitty. Kitty is always a bit aggressive with other people. She won’t let anyone pet her. I swear Kelly is a cat whisperer, cuz she totally controlled the whole interaction. Kelly was so good with her while I was away from home...kitty actually slept next to her! ?? That’s so crazy to me, but totally awesome at the same time. I’m a happy pet mama!”

About: Dogs are a huge part of my life! Before moving to Wisconsin, I owned and operated a dog walking and overnight boarding business in Maryland for two years. These days, I spend much of my time fostering dogs for a local rescue, helping them decompress, learn home life, and get ready for their forever families. With three personal dogs, I’m very comfortable managing a multi-dog household and all the different personalities that come with it. I’ve cared for everything from energetic, playful pups to seniors who prefer a cozy spot on the couch, as well as rescue dogs who need extra patience, structure, or time to feel comfortable. Fostering has taught me that there really isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to dogs. I pay close attention to body language, respect boundaries, make thoughtful introductions, and adjust my approach based on what each individual dog needs. I also know how hard it can be to leave your dog behind and wonder how they’re doing. You can expect daily updates from me, including plenty of photos and videos, so you can see how your dog is settling in and what they’ve been up to. My goal is to give your dog a safe, comfortable, fun place to stay—and give you the peace of mind that they’re with someone experienced, attentive, and who truly gets dogs. Pet care fits very naturally into my everyday life. I’m a stay-at-home mom to a middle schooler and work remotely part-time, which means I’m home quite a bit and have plenty of flexibility to give the animals in my care lots of attention, love, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and downtime. With three resident dogs—a 70 lb senior mix, a 2-year-old Boston Terrier, and a 1-year-old English Bulldog/French Bulldog mix—and all three started out as fosters who never left! I continue to foster regularly and work very closely with a local dog rescue, so welcoming another dog into our routine is something the dogs are very accustomed to. Dogs staying with us aren't spending the day alone waiting for someone to come home from work. I'm around throughout the day to keep an eye on everyone, accommodate individual routines, and provide plenty of attention (or a cozy place to nap, if that's more their speed!). Pet care is genuinely part of my everyday life, and I love it that way. Here, pets are treated like part of the family. My dogs are kennel trained, but they're also welcome throughout the home—including on the furniture and beds. I'm happy to follow your lead, though! If your dog sleeps in a crate, follows certain house rules, eats on a specific schedule, or isn't allowed on furniture at home, I'll do my best to keep their routine consistent. I live in a large apartment, so all outdoor time is supervised and on leash. I'm very comfortable with puppies and their extra needs, including frequent potty breaks, potty pads, crate training, and the general chaos that comes with puppyhood! I have extra crates that can accommodate dogs up to approximately 75–80 lbs, plus more dog beds and toys than any household probably needs. If your pet has food or environmental allergies, please let me know. I am very accustomed to managing allergies and am happy to follow specific instructions regarding food, treats, medications, or environmental triggers. Because your dog will share our home with my husband, middle-school-aged child, and our three resident dogs, dogs staying with us must be comfortable with older children, men, and other dogs. I take introductions and dog body language seriously and want every animal in the house—yours and mine—to feel safe and comfortable. While others do live in the home, I will be the caregiver for any other animals. For care in your home, I'll follow your lead. You know your pets and their routine best, and my goal is to keep things as familiar and consistent as possible while you're away. I'm also happy to care for more than just dogs during in-home visits—cats and other household pets are welcome, too! Whether your pet stays with us or I care for them in their own home, I'll treat their individual routine as exactly that: individual. Some pets want to be your shadow, some want nonstop playtime, and some would prefer that I serve dinner promptly and otherwise respect their personal space. I'm good with all three!
“Amanda was great with my boy! She even arranged to come on short notice. The pictures and videos gave me no doubt my dog was having a good time. Ended up getting a nice spring snow storm and she went above and beyond to do some shoveling. Would highly recommend her for your fur babies!”

Mariah is awesome!! Every time we have used her to watch our dogs, I have felt completely at ease. My family and I can enjoy our vacation and know that our dogs are in great hands. She communicates the entire time and sends lots of pictures. She even got our super picky eater to eat the whole time we were gone!! She is the best!! We have already booked her again and will continue to book with her on future trips! Thank you Mariah for always being the best!!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 185 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Baraboo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Baraboo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Baraboo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Baraboo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Baraboo. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
