“This was the first time we have left Noel in the 5 years we’ve had her. It was nice to know that she was well taken care of while we were gone. Now we know we can plan to take trips without worrying what to do with our pet. Thank you Jessica for taking good care of Noel and we look forward to booking you on future trips. God Bless You.”

“I am so grateful for this sitter! I needed to book a last-minute sitter for an event, and she replied super fast. She was incredibly nice and accommodating with Payton. Drop-off and pick-up were both a breeze, and she even sent me a picture of Payton during the stay, which gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend her and will definitely book again!”

“Bradley graciously accepted a short notice booking for our dog Ghost. He was very communicative and responsive leading up to and throughout the boarding stay. Bradley’s dog Beaux is very sweet, gentle & got along well with Ghost. We 100% recommend Bradley for boarding.”

About: What sets me apart is that I’m a pet owner myself and understand how much our pets mean to us. I have two dogs of my own, so I know firsthand that pets are family and deserve to feel safe, loved, and comfortable when their owners are away. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic playtime and walks to giving senior dogs extra patience, attention, and care. I’m also happy to follow feeding schedules, potty routines, medication instructions, and any special instructions your pet may need. I’m dependable, patient, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals. My goal is to care for your pets the same way I would want someone to care for mine—with lots of love, attention, and plenty of belly rubs! 🐾❤️ My Pet-Sitting Availability 🐾 I work full-time but live close to work, which allows me to come home during my lunch break to check on your pets and spend quality time with them. * Monday–Friday: Available for pet care in the mornings before work, during my lunch break, and in the evenings after work. * Overnight Care: Available any night of the week! * Saturday–Sunday: Available for boarding and extended pet care. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and provide plenty of love, attention, playtime, walks, and companionship while you’re away. I want you to feel confident knowing your fur babies are in loving, caring hands! I’m very detail-oriented and take pride in keeping a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible, and make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and supervision.
“Keith was friendly, very communicative and our dogs loved staying with him! He is also an experienced dog trainer and made sure our dog took his medicine during their stay. We will be boarding with him again next time we go out of town and recommending him to friends. Thank you for taking such good care of Scully and Fisher!”

“Olivia was amazing with Hazel! She sent updates and pictures throughout the stay, which gave me so much piece of mind. She was also super flexible when I had a last minute change with drop off. Hazel came home happy and relaxed, and I'll definitely book with her again!”

“What can I say..Ms. Joyce is simply a blessing! After much anxiety and hesitation of having to leave behind my “little one” going on vacation. Joyce eased my mind with our conversations prior. Her attention and detail prior to ensure everything was as smooth as possible was well executed. At the day of dropout my mind was at ease, as I knew Griffin would be in great care! I was able to enjoy vacation as Joyce constantly kept me up to date with messages and pictures! By the time I came back to pickup Griffin he didn’t want to leave! Joyce spoiled Griffin like he was her own. This even included her going out of her way to purchase treats and toys to spoil him. I can’t thank Joyce enough! I would highly recommend her. I find comfort knowing now that Griffin has a second home should I ever need a babysitter!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was around 13, from pet sitting for neighbors, friends and family to working professionally in dog daycare and boarding facilities. I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, including puppies and senior dogs. I’m comfortable giving medications, following prescription diets and special feeding instructions, and I also have experience giving insulin injections to diabetic dogs. My professional experience has also included bathing, daycare/boarding care and transporting pets. I have three dogs of my own, including my 11-year-old husky mix and two young dachshunds, so I’m very comfortable with everything from puppy energy to senior care. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time for pet care throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits and other pet care during weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, whether that means early potty breaks, meal times, medications or just some extra playtime and attention. I treat every pet like I would want someone to treat my own. I pay close attention to feeding instructions, medications, potty schedules and each pet’s individual routine. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs and dogs with special care needs. I’m also very mindful of doors, gates, leashes and surroundings because I know how quickly a curious dog can decide it’s time for an adventure! I’m happy to follow whatever routine and safety rules you have in place in your home.
About: I would take amazing care of your pet in my home. I will be able to provide them with the same care they get at home. I work from home, so I have the flexibility in my day to provide walks & playtime when needed. I've had many years of experience caring for dogs (fish and a hamster). When walk time is not needed, they will have full access to my fully fenced in yard. I have also provided care for friends and family when they had to leave town both in their home and in my home. Both of my pets have unfortunately transitioned over the doggie rainbow but my love for fur babies continues. Our first fur baby, Niles, was adopted at 3 months old. He lived a very loving and active life and transitioned in 2020 after 16 1/2 years. We took our second fur baby Nyla in at the age of 6 after her owners no longer wanted her due to having a baby and she was being placed in a shelter. Finding us was the biggest blessing and she was what our family needed. She also lived a very active life, as we used to walk 7 miles a day. She was a German Shepherd/Husky mix and needed to stay mobile. She transitioned in 2025 after 11 1/2 years. With both of our fur pets, we would visit doggie parks which allowed them to play freely. Both of our pets were loved and cared for during the best and not so great days. Your pet will feel as loved as my own were when it comes to eating, playing, walking around the block, or just good ole fashioned cuddle time. I don't mind giving medicine if needed and any other special requests can also be taken care of. I am an entrepreneur working from home, so I'm able to provide care for your pet throughout the day. Our normal routine would include a morning, mid-day (if the temps aren't too hot), and evening walk. They will be able to go in the backyard for play throughout the day in the middle of those walks. I have a fully fenced in yard and your fur baby will be safe. I can also easily crate your fur baby if that is what you prefer. Just know they will be well cared for, and I only take one pet at a time to ensure they're safe. I only take two pets if they are in the same family.
About: As a dog owner myself, I know firsthand that our pets aren’t “just dogs”—they’re family and I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your fur baby. I provide patient, loving and attentive care and treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, routines and needs. I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved while you’re away. I also know how reassuring updates can be, so I’m happy to send photos and messages during your pup’s stay or visit. My goal is for you to have peace of mind knowing your dog is being cared for like family. I’m a SAHM and I run my own business so my day consists of running a few errands, loving up with my 5 furbabies and trying to end world hunger! My yard is not fenced however there’s ample room to run around with a leash, potty breaks and I’m happy to crate as requested. I bring my furbabies to the local fenced in dog park, I’m sure they’d love more company.

About: I grew up with a Yorkie and now care for him in his senior years with doggy dementia, which has taught me the importance of patience, gentle routines, and creating a calm, comforting environment. Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays I get out of class for 11 and am free for the rest of the day. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a little tougher for me due to my classes being scattered throughout the day. I enjoy taking them on walks, giving them baths, playing with them, cuddling with them, feeding and taking them out, and just having an emotional support animal around me!
About: Ive dog sat for many people for the last three years. I’ve dog sat/walked for doctors, friends, and many neighbors. I am CPR certified with humans as well as animals. Your baby will be in great hands! I’m currently a student at LSU in Baton Rouge so after my morning classes I have the rest of my day to dog sit/walk as needed I will care for them like they are my own. I will keep an eye on them as they play, I will crate if needed, and always make sure they have the appropriate amount of food and water.
“Shayna took Zoey as a last-minute request and did a great job. She integrated Zoey with her family and two young kids, so that was very much appreciated as felt more like being part of a family experience than in a kennel. She sent photos and communicated on a regular basis which was appreciated as well.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Welcome home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Welcome.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Welcome sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
