Hannah was an exceptional pup pal for Rizzo💙and CiCi!🩷 Hannah made sure her stay at my home was all about them… they had dance parties… plenty of snuggles… and I was sent heart warming photos while I was away! It was a delight to have Hannah hang with my furry friends and will definitely request her again! I tipped Hannah in person because I wanted to tell her how much I appreciated her attention to detail. Not only did she take exceptional care of my pups, she also went above and beyond in caring for my home ! Thank you, Hannah! I will be in touch!

Ailani is fantastic. I could find no one. I had a Dr. appt out of town and did not want Kiera alone for the whole day. This girl drove all the way from Pontiac to help me! Most importantly Kiera absolutely loved her and she kept me updated with photos. We can not wait to have her back!

Rachel did a great job. She was very responsive, responsible, and very caring and attentive to our Chloe’s needs. Chloe is a 17.5 year old Bichon with sensory deficits. The age and deficits put her in a ‘higher than normal’ category to care for. Rachel exceeded our expectations. This was our first experience with Rover and we couldn’t be happier with our dog sitter. We would highly recommend her. Thank you Rachel. Tom & Mary Jo Ahearn

He is very prompt with replies and Harvey is usually anxious but he seemed to be so relaxed around Jason even though it’s his first time. We requested for photos and updates every one hour to which he happily obliged. 😊☺️ I would gladly recommend him!

Angela watched our 3 dachshunds for 3 days over Thanksgiving. During the meet and greet, all 3 of our girls took to her right away. Angela asked questions and made sure she understood the girls’ routine and needs. Since she was sitting on Thanksgiving, she would be away for longer than normal to spend time with her family - not an issue, but she made sure to address this with us ahead of time, which was appreciated! She arrived and departed on schedule as promised. She provided pictures and detailed updates while we were away. She even helped us with some logistics in Rover - when the arrival and departure times changed, she updated them for us! It’s extremely important to us that we have someone we can trust and rely on to watch our girls and give access to our home while we are away, and Angela fits the bill! We will be using her again.

Mckinzie is amazing! Messaged her last minute for house sitting and she was very responsive. We decided to do the house sitting with her dog Sully coming along (although she was flexible about bringing him), we did a great meet and greet with the dogs before the boarding stay and I felt Mckinzie was very attentive to the dogs interactions and considerate. She was patient and kind with my dog, who is highly energetic so it means a lot haha. My house was in great shape when I got home. Highly recommend!

Mac is amazing! She took wonderful care of our three cats in our home for a week. She sent us photos every day, kept us updated, and was always so positive and communicative. We had complete peace of mind knowing our cats were well cared for. When we returned home, the house was spotless! We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book with Mac again. Highly recommend!

About: **Please note: only one dog at a time will be boarded. Puppies must be at least 6 months old, with all vaccines and fully potty trained** I’ve always had a passion for dogs and found that spending time with them gives me the most joy. I’ve had my Labrador for 8 years and my family and friends have trusted me to dog sit their pets as well. I’m experienced in walking them, feeding them and giving medication as needed. I provide plenty of play time either in my yard or inside the house. I enjoy being active with them and making sure they’re happy and comfortable during their stay. Please note: Puppies must be at least 6 months and completely potty trained and have all their vaccinations before I’m able to board them. Last minute requests will have an additional $10 added to the total stay. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks frequently and can dedicate play time, walks and being attentive watching your pet. I have a fenced yard and have a very friendly lab to keep your fur baby company. I’m always keeping an eye on the dogs and make sure water is always available as well.

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for them is more than a job—it's my calling. At the age of 15, I began rescuing stray animals in my hometown of Medellín, rehabilitating them, and finding them loving homes. This hands-on experience taught me patience, empathy, and deep understanding of animal behavior. What sets me apart is my genuine connection with pets and my ability to adapt to each animal's unique personality and needs. I have experience caring for puppies, senior pets, and animals with special needs. As a professional pet photographer, I also have a keen eye for detail and know how to make pets feel calm and comfortable around me. Whether it’s giving medication, providing enrichment, or simply offering love and companionship, I always go the extra mile to ensure every pet in my care feels safe and happy. I'm from Colombia and I’m currently studying English to improve my language skills. I’m available Tuesday, Thursday and Friday all day and I’m available some shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. I’d be happy to take care of your pet! Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I create a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where animals feel safe and loved. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, exercise, and medication if needed. I always take time to build trust through gentle interactions, patience, and positive reinforcement. You can count on me to treat your pet as if they were my own—with love, respect, and constant attention.

About: Your pet will be treated like family with plenty of love, attention, playtime, and personalized care while you're away. I provide safe, attentive, and reliable care so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are in good hands. Pet care fits very well into my routine because I have a flexible schedule and work in the gig economy. I enjoy spending time with animals, and I make it a priority to provide reliable, consistent care while keeping owners updated along the way. FAQs for House Sitting - Wedron

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 236 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wedron. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wedron walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wedron maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wedron choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wedron. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
