About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I had a cat who was part of my family for 16 years, which taught me a lot about caring for an older pet with patience, love, and attention to their individual needs. I currently continue to care for dogs and cats, including my friends’ pets and my sister’s cat. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and following each pet’s specific routine and instructions. I understand that every pet has a different personality and needs, and I take the time to make them feel safe and comfortable. I’m responsible, attentive, and respectful of both pets and their homes. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, or older, I’ll treat them with the same care and affection I would give my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pets. I can fit pet care, walks, playtime, and check-ins into my daily routine while making sure each pet receives consistent and personalized care. My apartment is quite spacious, with three floors, giving pets plenty of room to feel comfortable and move around. My complex also has a designated dog park, which is great for walks, playtime, and exercise. I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment and always follow each pet’s routine and specific needs.
“Korol was an amazing sitter for our senior dog. She walked and played with our dog every day and it was clear that she gave our girl lots of love. It was the first time our dog seemed to really enjoy staying with a sitter. 5 stars!”

“Kimmey is absolutely amazing! I was nervous with this being my first time away from my dog, but Kimmey made it easy to enjoy my time away with family knowing that my dog was receiving the best care. She frequently sent updates on how my dog was doing and took care to pay attention to my dog's individual enrichment interests and needs. My dog had a blast and she misses Kimmey and her wonderful family already! I highly recommend booking with her!”

“We were looking for someone to make Spirit feel right at home. We feel like we accomplished that with Laura. She and Spirit hit it off right away. We plan on using her many more times in the future.”

About: I am a freshman majoring in Pre-Vet so I am very familiar with animals especially dogs. I grew up with dogs, have a dog of my own at home, sitting, walking, training, puppies, etc. I am currently a freshman student at Auburn but my school schedule is very flexible and I have many gaps throughout my days. My busiest day this semester is Wednesday. I always treat the house like it’s my own. I am a very clean, responsible, trustworthy person who cares about how my home feels, looks, and making sure it is comfortable for everyone. I prefer pets staying in my house.
“I had a great experience with Dominik boarding my two dogs. What stood out the most was that he was willing to take them in at the last minute, which helped me out tremendously and truly meant a lot. From the beginning, Dominik was professional, responsive, and made me feel comfortable leaving my dogs in his care. You can tell he genuinely cares about animals and wants to make sure they feel comfortable. My dogs were well taken care of, and I appreciated knowing they were in good hands while I was away. Finding someone dependable to trust with your pets is not always easy, but I would absolutely recommend Dominik to anyone looking for reliable and caring boarding services.”

“Allie and her husband are great people. Constant updates and great communication to keep your mind at ease while away. Their pets made great friends for my dog and I’m sure he can’t wait to go back!”
“Brian and Sue are still wonderful and Maggie loves them! She took to them immediately! We were so comfortable and confident that Maggie would be well loved and cared for, and she was! We’ve already booked Brian for another 4-day stay.”

About: I’ve been a “dog person” (personally & now professionally) all my life, and have experience with big and small pups of all breeds, ages, and energy levels. I work at the vet school and have lots of home/yard space, time, and a social dog of my own that would happily welcome your fur baby! On weekdays, I either wfh or go into the office just 5mins away, so I’m always able to come home midday for potty breaks. I’m an active dog mom & love to walk around the neighborhood or nearby trails, but also have a large private fenced yard and a million toys if your dog prefers to get exercise that way. I also love & welcome the couch potatoes - all furniture is open for lounging and cuddles. I have been fostering & training dogs for the last 15 years and have basic medical training - so if your pup has any special considerations just reach out to discuss! My life pretty much revolves around my own dog, with a regular feeding/potty/play/lounging schedule, so guests would fit right into that routine. My schedule is very flexible & pups are never left alone for more than a few hours at a time. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to zoom and sniff around. I have a ~2yr old mixed breed dog (Mac) who is extremely social and loves making people/dog friends. He is playful, but often goes to dog parks and seems to adapt to whatever energy level the other dogs are, so he’s adaptable & loves chill time just the same.
“Kristen and her husband were incredible! We needed last minute care for our dog, George, and they welcomed him open arms. They have a very warm home and the sweetest pup, Ruby. We are grateful we found them!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Waverly home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Waverly.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Waverly sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
