“Rachel was the perfect person to stop over and walk my two dogs! She is clearly very knowledgeable and comfortable with all different pet personalities and behaviors. One of my dogs can sometimes show aggressive behavior to other vehicles/pedestrians on walks, and Rachel handled him with the utmost care, responsibility, and comfortability. I trusted her so much with my dogs and felt very reassured leaving them in great hands. She’s very dependable and excellent at communicating. We loved her consistent updates and photos! Will definitely be using Rachel again!”

“Katie is wonderful! She met Dobby and he loved her. I could tell she was a doggy person right away! She took great care of my fur baby, sent pics, updates, and was very flexible with her schedule. I will be using Katie again and again for our pups walks.”

About: I have had pets my entire life. At this time, I am petless, so I would love to love on your pets. Family and friends have relied on me to watch, walk, and play with their furry friends. I have several references I work full time, but I have a very flexible schedule that sometimes allows me to work from home. Your dog, however, will never be alone because my husband is home during the day. I take your dog for a morning and night walk and on weekends three short walks. I also play with them. They can sleep on the bed and furniture

“Vanessa is a great dog sitter, as well as a great dog walker. She gave the dogs a varied walk pattern throughout our neighborhood which allowed them to truly express themselves wherever and whenever they felt comfortable. Thank you so much taking great care of our fur babies.???”

About: I've been around animals all my life, from guinea pigs and rabbits, to cats and dogs, to even giant sea turtles! I worked in the veterinary industry for about 10 years as well as a summer at the Milwaukee County Zoo in the Aquatic and Reptile Building. I am comfortable with medication for most animals, fear free handling if needed, but I'm also willing to take my time with more shy pets. I currently have a lab mix who is about 70 lbs, two cats with different medical concerns, and an 11 year old rabbit. As far as my own pets, I do all the care for them in my home. For my working schedule, I am available most mornings after 7:15 am until 2 pm during the week. I am able to do some weekends as well, depending on the situation. I know dogs who are runners well, as my dog very much one! We do not have a fenced in yard, but I have a tie out for my dog, as well as a leash and harness for her for walks and car trips (as well as a seatbelt!). I understand the stress of putting someone in charge of your pets and the care that must be taken. I will always put your pets safety first and make sure all the clips, locks, and bolts are secure before leaving the home.

“Jennifer did an amazing job watching our 2 beagles and while we were away! I love that she sent sent us pictures every day and she took the time to come over and meet the dogs beforehand and spent plenty of time getting to know them! I will definitely be using Jennifer in the future!”

About: I've worked at a vet clinic for over two years, dealing with all different types of dogs and their needs. I've also had dogs my whole life. I’m a college student so I am not in the area during the school year. But for the rest of this summer, I am fully available! I am pre vet and I work at a vet clinic so animals are basically my entire life! I would not be able to care for pets in my home since I have two other dogs. However, I am happy to take care of the pets in your home.

About: I've had dogs for most of my life, I love going for long walks and playing fetch. My schedule is very flexible and I'm able to accommodate their needs! I'm an incoming college freshman at UW Madison, and I'm using pet-sitting as my sole job for this summer, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies! I have a lot of love to give to your pets, animals have a special place in my heart. I would love to take your pup for long walks in Lapham Peak or any other park!

About: I grew up with dogs and have had an extensive career in the Animal Health Industry, selling veterinary pharmaceuticals for 25 years, and also working as a client services representative at a busy emergency and referral veterinary center. Not only did I grow up with dogs but I have had my own dogs as an adult, which I actually got because the family I was sitting for could no longer keep them and asked if I would like to make it a permanent situation. I cared for both of them into their senior years and became proficient at managing their medical conditions that arose from aging (diabetes and canine cognitive disorder). My two boys required very extensive care and routine insulin administration for my diabetic as well as additional medications that I became very proficient in administering, even if they were particular about taking pills, etc. I am very knowledgeable in how to manage multiple dogs at once, how to keep dogs safe in various environments, and a good eye for anything that may indicate they may not be feeling their best. When I had my guys, I would often trade sitting and walking favors with my fellow dog owners so I have had a lot of experience sitting for and walking other dogs throughout my life. My goal is to give peace of mind to dog owners that they can go on vacation, business trips, day trips, or just out anywhere, and they will know that their dog is in great, loving hands. I am currently working full-time but I am off on Thursdays and Fridays and I can also take on pets in the evenings after work. When sitting for your pet I can take them out on my lunch hour if necessary. I would follow any requests that you have in order to make your pet as comfortable as they are when you are there. I am very familiar with local walking trails and parks that are pet friendly.

About: I grew up with a dog and now have one of my own! Willing to give your pup as much love and attention as I give Enzo. I’m willing to walk your dog miles if needed, and have plenty of enrichment activities as well! I will go above and beyond to communicate scheduling and pet needs, and can be flexible with my schedule in the summer if needed. I will be home for most of summer, so any days that are available I can walk, dogsit, or board your pup!! Willing to be flexible with your schedule if needed. I have a kennel if needed, otherwise your dog will be free to roam the house throughout the day. There is a lead on either side of my house providing outdoor access, and plenty of comfortable places inside for relaxation. I am comfortable using any type of leash to walk your dog as well.

Your pets are treated like family, and I take pride in making sure they are well-fed, exercised, and showered with affection. With me, you can have complete peace of mind knowing your pets are in the best hands. I have two dogs of my own, a corgi 8 years and a lab, pit bull mix 10 years old. We walk daily and are the happiest babies I know. I want to give love to more animals and care for them the way I care for mine. My daily routine is active and flexible, which means your pup gets plenty of walks, playtime, and one-on-one attention throughout the day. I love being outside and staying on a consistent schedule—perfect for keeping dogs happy and cared for! Caring for pets, whether in your own home or a client’s home, involves a combination of regular attention, proper feeding, exercise, grooming, and emotional care. Here’s a breakdown of how I might approach pet care depending on the service I offer: 1. Pet Sitting (In Client’s Home or Own Home) • Feeding: Follow the pet’s regular feeding schedule and adjust based on dietary needs or special instructions from the owner. • Exercise: Ensure that pets get enough physical activity through walks, playtime, or other engaging activities. • Grooming: Brush pets regularly to maintain their coat and avoid matting (especially for long-haired breeds). Bathe them as needed, depending on the breed and the owner’s preferences. • Health & Safety: Monitor the pet’s health for any changes, such as a decrease in appetite, lethargy, or signs of illness. Administer any medications as directed by the owner. • Companionship: Provide attention, playtime, and comfort to ensure the pet doesn’t feel lonely or anxious. This might include cuddling, talking to them, or simply being around. • Cleaning: Ensure the pet’s living environment is clean, including regularly changing litter boxes for cats or cleaning up after dogs. 2. Dog Walking • Exercise: Provide regular walks to ensure that the pet gets the necessary physical and mental stimulation. The duration and intensity of the walk depend on the breed, age, and health of the dog. • Safety: Ensure the dog is safe during walks by using a sturdy leash, avoiding busy traffic areas, and monitoring for any signs of discomfort. • Playtime: If there is time, include some interactive play (e.g., fetch or tug-of-war) during the walk to engage the dog mentally. 3. Pet Boarding (In Your Home) • Comfort: Provide a safe, comfortable space with a designated sleeping area, food, and water station. • Socialization: If appropriate, allow pets to socialize with other animals (especially if they are accustomed to it). • Routine: Keep the pet on a similar routine as they would have at home, with regular meals, walks, and bathroom breaks. 4. General Tips for Pet Care • Communication: Keep the pet owner updated regularly on their pet’s well-being, sharing any observations, concerns, or funny moments. • Emergency Preparedness: Know where the nearest vet is and be prepared for any emergencies, including having a list of the pet’s medical details and contact information. By focusing on the pet’s specific needs and preferences, both physical and emotional, I can ensure they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for.

“Tessa took care of our home for 11 days and did a fantastic job! She took excellent care for our pets: this included walking the dog multiple times per day, feeding them punctually on a regular schedule and making sure they got enough attention while we were gone. Tessa also watered our gardens and received our mail/packages as necessary. Tessa is a kind, responsible, punctual and bright young lady and I highly recommend her for any pet care services you may require.”
