Sara is awesome! She’s reliable, great with our dogs and very thorough in making sure our pups had what they needed. We were able to enjoy a long day away from the dogs without stressing. Thanks so much Sara!

About: I have worked as a veterinary assist and pet sitter for 21 years, so needless to say I have the experience. You can rest easy knowing they will be in good hands. I have many excellent references of pet owners whose pets I watch freq/recently that I can give you. While on your vacation I send updates as well as pictures so you are aware of how your pet is doing, usually through text messages or email. I am very reliable and trustworthy and your pets well being is my top priority! I walk the dogs as many times as you'd like and whenever you'd like. Due to a move and smaller living arrangements I can only host cats or dogs under 50 lbs. I can take care of any size pet if you need me to come to your home. Please feel free to contact me anytime & we can discuss the details further & set up a time to meet. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon! Sincerely, Melissa About this sitter: Hello, my name is Melissa and I have 21 years experience working and living with pets. I have a 17 yr old son and a 8 yr. old daughter. We moved to beautiful Clearwater Fl. In 2010. In 2018 we moved back home to southern Indiana to be closer to family. I treat your dog (s) like my own & you can rest easy knowing they'll be in good hands with me. I have exp working with older pets, pets that need medications and/or injections, separation anxiety, etc.. Why I love dog sitting I have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. Pets are your friend no matter what. They are so loyal and loving. I started working at a veterinary clinic in the late 90's and have worked at other animal hospitals as well as a pet store and grooming salon up until I had my daughter. I decided to pet sit instead of returning to work so I could stay home with her. Watching pets is such a joy and I'm so happy and grateful to be able to do what I love to do. I have a lot of regular client friends so I'm fortunate to be able to watch a lot of the same dogs often! About my yard: We do not have a fenced in yard but we have a beautiful yard, woods, stream & I leash walk them several times a day. My experience administering medication I am very confident and experienced in my ability to administer medications by mouth or injections. I have worked in veterinary clinics for 15 yrs so I am very comfortable and qualified.

About: I have had the privilege of having / taking care of animals since I was about 5 years old. I have taken care of many different types from horses and cattle to dogs, cats and birds. I love the many personalities and it is rewarding to have a new fur friend. I currently have flexibility with my work. This means I have availability to care for your fur babies during the week days. I may have possible availability during the weekends. I have an outside fenced in pin for your fur baby to enjoy some alone time in the sun. I can also crate the dog if needed. I have two friendly dogs that I can have play to help keep them company.

Jennifer did a good job taking care of my cat, Sasha. She did everything I asked, and more. She fed, watered and took care of the litter box on a daily basis and brushed her, as well. Sasha looked good and seemed fine when I returned from my 12 day trip. I will be calling her again when my next trip comes up.

About: I have watched beloved family pets for many friends and family during my life time. Being an animal lover myself, I know that your pets are family and I make sure to treat them as such! Growing up with family dogs and cats, and currently our funky boxer dog Rufus, I know what it takes to be a successful animal sitter and how much love they need. I work a full time job, from 9-4:30 pm Monday-Friday with the exception of one remote day on Wednesdays. Most pets are used to this schedule. I will ensure they will have potty breaks first thing in the morning, during my lunch break at 1, and then once I return to the home at 5. And then several throughout the evening and before bed. I will care for your pet in the environment they feel the safest in… your home. By allowing your animal to remain at home, it eases their stress and anxiety and gives them a comforting feel of familiarity. No need to pack up enough food and treats for the week. I will be happy to follow your thorough instructions on how to care for your pet.

About: Hi! I am a current Veterinary Assistant, and former Surgery Tech/Animal Behavior volunteer. I have had cats and other pets my entire life, and have tons of experience with pet sitting of all types, and as a dog walker for an animal shelter and another walking service app. I can administer any medications, as I do that every day all day at work. I am accustomed to all types of medical and behavioral needs. I have all kinds of relevant experience but the most important thing is that I can provide safe, reliable, and dedicated care for your pet while you're away. I know how stressful it is to trust your pet and potentially your home with a stranger, but I can assure you, they are in the best hands with me. I will respect your home, your rules, and your pet! I work Wednesdays through Saturdays, and am off Sundays through Tuesdays, and will be fully available during those days. I have no other commitments during those off days. I have only 2 hamsters, so I can provide tons of attention to your pet! I can board cats at my place, but otherwise I can do dog sitting at yours, and can do stop-in visits or just walks. Whatever your pet needs to be comfortable. I am flexible.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
