“Kristen was amazing. She was responsive, showed up on time and stayed for the amount of time booked, and did everything I asked of her. Most importantly she played and snuggled with my dogs and made me feel so much better about being away!! Additionally my flight back was delayed and she was flexible about making an extra visit to help me out with unexpected travel. If you need a sitter for your babies I highly recommend Kristen!”

About: I’ve been a pet owner since I was 19. I have experience giving medication with my own dogs and worked at a dog boarding place in the past. I promise to love on your dog like they are my own. I work full time Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm. I’m free most weekends. I’m able to come check on a dog before work and after work. I could possibly go on my lunch break around 1 pm if not too far from my house. Right now I’m not offering services in my house because I have an older dog with vision and health issues. She is more of a people loving dog! At the clients house I will make sure your dog gets plenty of affection and play time. I will try my best to keep them on their normal schedule with potty breaks and meal times. Please make sure to tell me all your dogs favorite things!

I will send pictures and videos of what we are doing-walks, how much your pet has eaten, treats, playtime, and playtime.

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life since I was young — I grew up in a family full of dogs and developed a love for caring for animals early on. Over the past four years, I’ve gained hands-on experience dog sitting pets of all sizes and personalities, from energetic puppies to senior dogs, as well as cats and even chickens! For the past year, I’ve also worked at a dog boarding and daycare facility, where I’ve learned how to safely handle dogs with a wide range of temperaments, energy levels, and needs. This experience has made me confident in reading animal behavior, creating a calm environment, and making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while in my care. I treat every pet like family and understand how important it is to know your furry friend is in caring, reliable hands. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or just a calm companion, I’m happy to provide personalized care that fits their needs! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I currently work part-time in the evenings, which gives me daytime availability to care for pets, provide walks, drop-in visits, and spend quality time with them throughout the week. I’m hoping to dedicate most weekdays to pet care and make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, patience, and reliable care while their owners are away. At this time, I’m generally unavailable on weekends due to family obligations, but during the week I’m flexible and committed to providing dependable, loving care for your pets. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always make it my priority to keep their routine as comfortable and stress-free as possible. During drop-in visits, I can provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, litter box cleaning, playtime, attention, and plenty of love and companionship. For dog walks, I make sure each dog gets safe, attentive exercise based on their energy level and needs. I understand how important pets are to their families, so I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and the same level of care I would want for my own pets. I also believe communication is important, so I’m happy to provide updates and photos while you’re away so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Mary Ann did a great job for our first time with Rover. She was reliable, timely and did a great job with our cat, Pepe. Loved the pictures, the updates and overall, she filled all of our needs and expectations. So glad we found her!”

About: I grew up with two big Akita/husky’s that were always full of energy but very entertaining! I now have a Pitbul mix that loves to cuddles. People have relied on me to walk, bathe, and watch their pets. I have a steady schedule as a Dental Assistant through out the week. I am available for morning walks with a lot of free afternoons and evenings. I would love to help you out and make sure your fur baby is taken care of while you’re away. Discussing with the owner about their pets needs, habits, and specific requirements.
“Heather was great! I had a sitter have to cancel two drop in visits last minute and I found Heather and reached out to her for the first time and she gladly stepped in to check on my two labs while I was at work which gave me so much relief! She also messaged me when she got there and sent me many pictures and updates on my pups. I will definitely be adding Heather to my list of dog sitters from now on!”

About: I’ve had pets in the home my entire life; cats, dogs, fish, hamsters and Guinea pigs. I have been the proud owner of a pit bull, pit bull mix, boxer, lab and a St Bernard. I currently have a German Shepherd, Zeus, that is my whole heart. My son and I with help of tons of videos and research have taught our boy 20+ commands/words. I run/walk/hike with him 3-4 times a week in snow/rain/cold/humidity. We actively play and train daily. I put every effort into giving my fur babies the best life possible. I mean, we chose them, they didn’t choose us. I have owned short and long haired cats. I am familiar with the daily grooming for long haired felines. I currently am a cat mom also to a short and long haired. I am very familiar with kitten and puppy care as well. I have a full time job Monday through Friday. I am available week days after 3:30 and all day on Saturday, Sunday and major holidays. I will follow the instructions given to me for drop ins. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
