About: I have been caring for cats and dogs for more than 20 years. I’ve got 3 pups at home and I am available all the time. I’m new to the area and would enjoy getting some extra walks in. If you need dog walking or dog or cat visiting, feeding, schedule maintenance, I can help. I’m not currently working so I have loads of availability and flexibility. I am a morning person. I am new to the area so I have a lot of free time. I will care for others’ pets however they need me to care for them! I am accommodating to their established routines for optimal comfort for the pet when their person isn’t available.
“Our dog and cat took to Taylor quickly. It's the fastest I've seen our dog take to a man she didn't know. Taylor is very reliable, courteous, and caring towards animals. He went above and beyond takimg care of ours. Highly Recommend!”

“Aaron was excellent. We have 2 cats, one old who is friendly, and the other ex feral who is usually terrified of strangers. There I am visiting family, and I get a video of my "feral" bumping around getting her head & butt scratched! Quite a testament to the kind of person Aaron is. The litterbox was spotless. The cat food dishes were washed and neatly stacked. We will not hesitate to use him again.”

“Belle was great with our cat and dog. The cat was constantly in hiding, but Belle always made sure to check on her. And the dog had a fun time hanging out during their indoor and outdoor play. Would definitely recommend Belle for drop in visits.”

“Judy was an excellent pet sitter. She arrived a little early and greeted us and the dogs with a smile and friendly attitude. She updated us with messages and photos of the dogs. She even read her book to them and took them for a couple of long walks. We highly recommend Judy and would definitely use her again and recommend her to our friends.”

“Sherri was great as usual & I'm not sure how Judy was booked Judy was mentioned as a backup if Sherri wasn't available. Never any contact from her til the Sunday evening before the 4 th. Please refund that booking Thanks.”

“Amanda (Mandy) did a great job taking care of my 2 cats. She sent me daily pics and reports on them both..even on the one I have that hides. Mandy was sure to have eyes on them both before leaving for the day which was reassuring for me, she also took the time to hunt down the “hider” and move his food near him to make sure his brother didn’t get it. I will absolutely use Mandy’s services again and will recommend her to friends and family.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 15 years and caring for animals has always been a core part of my life. Alongside long-term sitting experience, I have a strong background in both the veterinary and farm industries, giving me hands-on knowledge of animal behavior, health, and safety across a wide range of species and temperaments. I’m comfortable caring for pets with medical needs, administering medications, and keeping a calm, attentive eye on subtle changes in behavior. From energetic puppies and senior pets to anxious animals who need a little extra patience, I tailor my care to each pet’s unique needs. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my goal is always the same: to make your animals feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine and something I prioritize, not squeeze in. I structure my days around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and check-ins, making sure each pet gets consistent attention and care. Because I have long-term experience in both veterinary and farm settings, I’m used to managing multiple animals and maintaining reliable routines. On a weekly basis, I plan ahead for any special needs like medications, training reinforcement, enrichment activities, or extra exercise. I’m organized, dependable, and flexible, so pet care fits seamlessly into my lifestyle rather than feeling rushed or transactional. I care for pets the same way I’d want my own animals cared for: with consistency, patience, and close attention to their individual needs. In both my home and a client’s home, I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions—so they feel comfortable and secure.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs all shapes, breeds and sizes! I’ve also taken care of a plethora of other animals. I’m comfortable bathing, dogs, and the occasional cat. I’m currently in school online and am raising a toddler alongside my husband and family on the same property. I also have 2 dogs, 2 horses and a bunch of other little critters I take care of daily. We don’t have a super set schedule, but things always get done. Although, if I’m given a schedule I will follow it to a T! I can do whatever you/your pet is comfortable with, apart from off leash walks, because I cannot be held responsible for a dog not recalling. But whether that be crating while leaving them, taking them outside in a fenced yard, or taking them on leashed walks varying in length, I am ready to car for your pet!
About: I’ve had every type of pet under the sun from dogs to cats to reptiles and love them all the same. Very experienced with all breeds and able to handle very large dogs / gentle with very small kittys. I am available 24/7 to meet the needs of our best friends. I treat animals like kids they deserve the world. Willing to help anytime. I live in an apartment but it has a wonderful fenced dog park & an easy mountain trail close If your dog requires more intense walks.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
