About: I've spent my entire life around dogs of various ages, sizes, and personalities. My family has always had at least one dog in the household-right now we have four-so I've experienced almost every stage of canine care. I raised my own goldendoodle, Paisle, through an extremely energetic puppy phase, and I've also cared for senior dogs, including our family cocker spaniel who faced health issues and became sensitive in his later years. I am comfortable handling both large dogs and small breeds. This lifelong, hands-on experience helps me understand each dog's unique needs and provide patient, reliable care. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I’m already used to caring for multiple dogs at home. I keep a consistent schedule with feeding, walks, playtime, and individual attention, so adding another pet into my routine feels natural. I’m also a full-time student, but during the summer I’m not busy with classes, which gives me plenty of flexibility and availability for drop-ins, walks, or longer stays. Whether it’s daily care or weekly check-ins, I’m organized, reliable, and always make sure each pet gets the attention they need. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment that matches each dog’s needs and routine. I follow all instructions closely—whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, crate training, or preferred walking routes. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and bathroom breaks, and I’m patient with dogs who are shy, high-energy, or adjusting to a new space. I also keep communication open with frequent updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to provide consistent, reliable care that helps your dog feel as secure with me as they do with you.
About: Currently a dog owner of 4. One of my babies has seizures so I am experienced with administering meds whether they are liquid, pill form, shot and ones that need to be given on a schedule. A true animal lover. I work full time 8-5. I am able to leave during lunch to let out furry friends or go for a quick walk. I would never leave them home alone more than 4 hours if that’s what is requested. We walk every morning and night as well. At home I work on whatever the client wants. If they aren’t allowed on furniture and such It will stay that way. I want you to come home and have It feel like you never left.
About: I've been a pet owner for 16 years, and I will treat your pup as I would my own - with lots of cuddles, treats and playtime.. I am patient and am able to work with your dog to make him or her feel comfortable. I love to work with seniors. I have had two geriatric dogs in the past and am familiar with the care for these more fragile pups. I work from home most days, but I am limited on time to drop-in. I can drop in before 8, at lunch, and/or after work to accommodate your needs. Ability to drop in before 5 are dependent on locations close to where I live. For boarding or drop-in visits to my home: I have a fully enclosed privacy fence and spacious back yard. I can crate as you wish - I have crates medium and large dogs, and you are welcome to bring your own kennel or beds. For Pet/housesitting services: The goal with pet care at a client's home is to maintain routine and consistency to ease any anxiety or confusion pets may feel without their fur-parents. Outside and play time are absolutes.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was 10. I would frequently pet sit for my neighbors when they went on trips, and took care of my own animals (a cat, 3 dogs (1 large, 2 small) and fish). I’m quite used to staying up overnight with small puppies for whatever they need, and work best with a specific schedule and instructions to ensure each and every pet is cared for properly! I’m currently attending college in the mornings until around 11:00, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pets past noon. Contact me about specific dates! For day sitting and walks I’m glad to take them to the pet park, to go get a pup cup, or even just play in your backyard. For overnight care, I’m happy to stay in house to keep their schedule consistent and stick to any schedule you provide.
“Tiffany was an amazing dog and house sitter! She stayed in our home with our two goldendoodles while we were away on vacation. She spent a lot of time with the pups and sent plenty of pictures. When we returned, the pups were well taken care of and the house was clean and tidy. She made sure our mail and packages were collected, plants watered, and other small odds and ends covered. We highly recommend her services and will definitely book her again!”

“Everything went great while we were away, and happy and healthy when we returned! Krista came over in advance to meet the pets and learn the routines - we left detailed notes but it helps to be able to talk and answer questions in person. She sent daily pics and came to do extra checks a couple of times. Our trip plans came together quickly and depended on finding a reliable sitter during spring break week, so also really appreciated that she stepped in to help us out. Would love to book her again.”

“Samantha is a pro and so sweet! Our three animals love her, and we look forward to having her back in just two weeks. Such excellent communication, fun pictures, and incredibly kind and honest. Many thanks and TOP recommendation!”

“I really appreciate the time and care. Emily took with taking care of my babies. Being able to watch them in my home meant so much to me with me traveling it keeps the dogs feeling comfortable and I really appreciated that from her. I can tell that the dogs really enjoyed her and the time they were able to spend they were just as happy when I left as when I got home. I think her so much will definitely be booking with her again.”

“I have an 11 yr old female pittie who gets stressed and sick when her Momma leaves her, so boarding became impossible. Charlotte was an absolute life-saver. She stayed in my home with my May for 4 nights and dedicated days. She was so intuitive and attentive to my baby's needs. By the time I got to my phone to answer questions concerning May's behavior, she had already figured it out by paying close attention to her just as I do! I've never seen her so relaxed and happy as if I never left. I will definitely be calling on Charlotte again.”

“Shannon is truly amazing! Our three dogs loved having her stay with them. She sent us daily pictures of them living their best life. They all have such anxiety going to boarding facilities. It was comforting to know they were being well cared for and loved. Shannon even washed her own bedding and cleaned up before she left. We will definitely be booking her again. Thank you!”

About: I’ve grown up around many of my own pets as well as other peoples that I’ve cared for throughout my neighborhood. I’m not a party person nor do I have many friends. I love animals and always have. I love going on walks and just sitting outside for an hour throwing a ball. I like animals that think they’re a lap dog even if they’re bigger than me. I am a part time employee at Cocos Mexican restaurant. I can sit any day throughout the week Sunday-Saturday. Sitting does not affect my routine at all, I plan my weeks to fit sitting for pets I like to make sure that animals are fed and happy. I believe that if I want to eat and drink during the day, then surely my pet does too. I enjoy the sunlight and I’ll sit outside with your pet until they’re ready to come in. I’m not a party person nor do I like to be around a lot of people. I like my area to be clean so I can assure that when you return the house will be just as you left it if not cleaner.
About: I’ve had pets and animals all my life! Growing up on a farm I’ve seen it all! My wife and I have fostered dogs and pet sat for years!! I work limited hours at my primary job which allows me to focus on taking care of your pets in my spare time. I’m hoping this hobby of pet care takes off and I’m able to fill in some gaps with earnings made from caring for your pets. We currently live in the country and have plenty of room for pets to run. I primary plan on walking pets near where you live or care for pets in owners homes.
“Katie H. sent only relevant messages, arrived on time and was gracious above and beyond expectations. I first booked two dogs, Mandy and Clarice. At the last minute she agreed to my adding a third dog, Winnie. Clarice was old, was diabetic and was not friendly due to her condition. Mandy was a normal, active 3-year old and Winnie was a 5-month old puppy. Katie sent us a couple of photos, and all three dogs were perfectly calm when we arrived after our event. This was my first experience with Rover.com, and I am truly impressed thanks to Katie.”
About: I bring real hands-on experience to every pet I care for — not just love, but knowledge: 6 years caring for cats — from playful kittens to senior cats who need medication and gentle routines. I understand body language, behavioral changes, dietary needs, and creating a calm, cozy environment. 5 years with bearded dragons — including proper temperature/humidity care, fresh salads, tank cleaning, supplements, and handling. I’m very comfortable with reptiles and their day-to-day needs. Comfortable with multiple pets, feeding schedules, and custom routines. I’ve also worked with pets needing medication, vet check-ins, and anxiety support — I always follow instructions carefully! Your pet will be treated like family and cared for with experience, patience, and daily check-ins 💛 Pet care is built right into my daily schedule — it’s not something I squeeze in, it’s something I plan around. Every morning starts with feeding, fresh water, and check-ins with my own pets, so I’m already in “pet parent mode” before the day begins. Here’s how I structure my routine: Morning: Feeding, potty breaks, or tank checks for my bearded dragons. I review the schedule for the day and confirm visits/walks. Midday: Drop-in visits, walks, medication if needed, and enrichment/playtime. Evening: Final check-ins, dinner feeding, and overnight care if scheduled. Flexible scheduling – I adjust my day depending on each pet’s routine so they receive care when they’re used to it, not just when it’s convenient. Since I already care for my own animals daily, adding your pet into my schedule feels natural. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own routine and keep communication open with updates, photos, and check-ins — no pet ever feels forgotten or rushed. 🚗 When I Care for Pets in Their Home: I follow your routine exactly — food times, treats, walks, meds, etc. I maintain your pet’s comfort & stability by keeping everything familiar Potty breaks / litter box cleaning Playtime and enrichment activities Fresh water at every visit Can administer medication if needed Clean-up included — no mess left behind Check-ins after each visit so you know how they’re doing --- 🐶 No Matter Where They Are — They’re Treated Like Family I provide love, patience, and care as if they were my own animals. Every visit or stay includes: Photo/video updates Routine check-ins Respect for boundaries & personalities Calm energy for anxious or rescue pets Safety first — always

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ward walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ward maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ward choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ward. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
