“Trinity did an amazing job with my special needs Great Dane (blind/deaf). And putting me at ease while I needed to be away for a work trip. She's calm, cool, collected, and very kind. Thank you so much!”

“We are always scared to leave our dog with a stranger, but Sammy did great!! She updated me each time she went over and sat with him for a while so he wasn’t alone for so long. Will definitely book again in the future!”

“I highly recommend Samantha. She was very diligent in caring for a somewhat complicated schedule for several types of animals. When we returned the animals were happy and well cared for. She also house sat for us. She is very respectful of our property and the house was left in immaculate condition! We could not have been more pleased and it is such a relief to have someone we can trust with our animals and our home. Hire Samantha! You will not be disappointed.”

About: Experienced dog, cat, and pet owner with lots more love to give! I was raised with pets and have both cats and dogs as an adult. I’ve extensive experience with different breed types and temperaments and believe that all pets are deserving of love and care. I work from home full time, so your pet is sure to receive plenty of playtime and cuddles! I’m kind, patient, honest and responsive. Does your pup think scooters are monsters? Does your cat need to take medicine? Don't worry - I've got you. I have a full time job with lots of flexibility, so your pet will be well cared looked after no matter what day it is. I'm fully available on weekends. The most important thing for me is to establish and build trust not only with your pet, but also with you. As a long-time pet owner, I know how scary it can be to leave your fur baby with a stranger. Ensuring that everyone is comfortable and happy makes the experience better for everyone.
About: I have experience with several breeds of dogs and different types of animals. My Macee is a 4 year old Frenchton! I have previous experience with cats and goats. My previous Boston Terrier, Angel (and she was an Angel❤️) unfortunately passed away from cancer in 2025 so I also have some senior/disabled pet care experience. I currently work full-time with children so some dates are limited but I am happy to help when/where I can! My availability is typically every other weekend but I may be able to make an exception where needed. Don't hesitate to ask! I currently do not have a fenced in yard so I am only offering drop in/pet sitting in the pets home at this time.
“Hannah has been great to watch our dog multiple times when we are out of town. She is reliable with good communication throughout the stay. We will continue to reach out to her!”

About: Hi, I’m Olivia :) I’ve had animals my entire life—including dogs, cats, and birds—and even grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I truly love all animals, and I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. At home I have two kitties of my own that I love dearly, Gus and Sammie. Because I love to travel myself, I know how important it is to have someone caring, dependable, and trustworthy looking after your pets. Being able to give pet parents peace of mind is exactly why I’m here. I work a hybrid job, which gives me the flexibility to work remotely on many days. Just let me know the dates you’re looking for, and I’ll be happy to check my schedule. I’m comfortable with overnight stays, drop-in visits, walks, feeding, and keeping your pets on their normal routine. Growing up babysitting taught me responsibility, patience, and compassionate care for those who depend on us, and I bring that same level of care to every pet I watch. I treat every animal as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I also love being outdoors, so walks and playtime are always something I look forward to! I’m happy to answer any questions you may have for me!! I look forward to meeting you and your furry (or hairless 😆) family members! In the photos provided, you’ll find some of the pets I’ve had the pleasure of caring for over the years, as well as my two kitties! I have a hybrid remote job, which gives me flexibility throughout the week with advance notice. I typically work 8am to 5 pm on weekdays and have open availability on weekends. I’m happy to help with evening visits, overnight stays, and pet care right after work! Boarding at my home may not be the best option right now, as I would want to make sure my own cats are properly acclimated first and avoid creating unnecessary stress for your pets. I’d be more than happy to provide care in your home, where your pets can stay comfortable in their own familiar environment. If you’d like to meet beforehand, I completely understand and would be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone feels comfortable.

“Lo took great care of our dogs and the house. I will be using her again and highly recommend. My dogs take a minute to let new people in their circle and she did great with them. They loved her!”

About: I've had dogs for over 12 years and have been volunteering at local shelter for two years. Dogs are my passion. I love spending time with them. The only reason I don't have any at this time is because I travel a lot. My hours are currently very flexible. I have time during the week and on weekend and I am available upon short notice to sit or walk your dog. I have no pets of my own currently. I will happily watch your dog at your house or walk it in your neighborhood where it's comfortable.
“Andrew did a great job. He communicated very well and let us know what was going on with a lot of pics and videos. It was nice to not be stressed and worry about home. He went above and beyond and made sure everything was taken care off and even helped with house chores! Very grateful to find a great sitter!”

“Lexi is one of the best sitters out there! You can tell she is passionate for animals and treats them as her own. She was so great at communicating with us and is very responsive. We received a video update on our pups as well. The house was left in the same shape we left it in. Very kind, sweet, and caring girl!”

“I can't say enough good things about Kari! She stayed at our home with our dog and two cats for 10 days while we were out of the country. I was nervous since it was the first time we were away from our babies for so long, but Kari kept me updated (including lots of photos!) each and every day so that I was as comfortable as I could be. She treated our house respectfully and left it spotless at the end of her stay! Kari truly went above and beyond to give our pets and us the best care possible. I will be working with her again in the future and recommend her to EVERYONE in the Indianapolis area!”

About: Hey, my name is Bailey and I love working with animals. I grew up on a farm with horses, goats, chickens, but most importantly cats and dogs. When I was a kid my grandparents bred puppies and I would help take care of them. Moving forward anytime someone needed help feeding and walking their dogs I volunteered. I have dog sat many times and had dogs come to my house a few times as well. I have one dog myself, a pit mix named Goofy. I work part-time and am off on Mondays and Wednesdays. I start work at 8am almost everyday and get off at either 1pm or 2pm except Sundays when I get off at 3:30. I'm available for overnight stays and can walk and feed your pet both before and after work. I consider myself very active and will be happy to take your dogs on plenty of walks. I can walk around your neighborhood or take a quick trip to a nearby park. I love playing with dogs and cats, especially laser and fetch. I love fetch. I have a special needs cat and I make my own food and treats for my dog so if your animal has any dietary or medical requirements I will happily rise to the occasion.
About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 6 years. I’ve also worked for a dog daycare/boarding facility where I was trained in Fear Free dog handling. Outside of official pet care experience, I grew up with three family dogs! I work as a barista tuesday-Friday 6am-12pm. My shifts are never longer than 6 hours, so accounting for travel time, I would be gone 7 hours at a time max. At my dog daycare job, I took courses on the “Fear Free” technique. Fear free techniques encompass a considerate approach, gentle handling, positive reinforcement, and creating a calm environment. Listening to the behavior cues of the pet is most important to me.
“Brownie needs more interaction with people on an ongoing basis without mom around. Kelly did the best she possibly could with a scared dog. Thank you for trying so hard and giving him his treats. Hopefully he will get there soon. Thanks Kelly for the updates and pictures.”

“Marek stepped up to the plate and accepted a last minute day care request. My dog had a riotous day playing with his dogs and got more than his share of exercise. Marek's rates are very low and don't reflect the care that he gave to my grateful pet.”

About: Mom of 2 hooomans (13&17I also have a Pomeranian, Mika. If you want your pet to be spoiled, you’ve come to the right place, lol. I work part time so I’m pretty flexible right now. I’m looking to add some work to my schedule doing something I love & enjoy! If you’re boarding your pet with me in my home, a crate will need to be provided for short periods of time if I need to step out and can’t bring them with me! I secure each dog on a leash when taking them outside on walks or to potty. Unless you have a fenced yard. I support treats, (:
“Taylor watched our two dogs at our home and was amazing! I am an anxious dog owner and rarely feel good about leaving them, but I was able to relax when Taylor was there. She was super communicative, punctual, and followed all of our requests. Her updates were great.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 323 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Waldron. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Waldron walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Waldron maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waldron choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waldron. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
