Nikki has been fantastic watching Frankie! She has plenty of other dogs for her to play with and she knows dogs really well so I trust her completely! I highly recommend her to anyone looking to have daycare or additional training for their dogs.

I've used them for boarding before and now Buttercup does Doggie daycare with them and I could not be happier. They are communicative and send updates. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars. Thank you both and your family for loving my Buttercup like she's one of your own!

Lucia is fantastic. She kept my young energetic dog and my old sensitive nervous couch potato! When I picked them up they were both happy and content. I received frequent photos and texts throughout the day along with an end of day report. Will definitely return and also use for overnight boarding.

Ashley was great! She was able to watch my baby last minute while my husband and I took a day trip into DC while we were TAD to the base for a week. My dog was soooooo happy and didn't seem to want to go home with me lol. Her dog was super sweet too and got along great with mine. I'd definitely use her again if we came back to the area!

Ashley is just something else! For Luna to do all her necessities outside of her environment is really hard and when she told me she did all that without an issue I was so happy! Luna got home and was just done for the day, I know she definitely had fun!

About: I’m a huge animal lover 🥰 and have about 14 years of experience caring for dogs. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, but mostly smaller breeds. I’ve been around dogs and helping take care of them since I was 11, and I enjoy giving the love, attention, and care they need. I also volunteered at an animals shelter for about 6 months, giving me the chance to work with dogs in need. We have about 4 dogs total in my family, so sometimes I will have 1, or 2, or none at home with me I am new to the city so as of right now, I am not employed. I have open availability to care for all of your pets needs. My weekly routine is pretty simple. I do computer work, play the game, call my family (literally almost every day) and work out from time to time. Animals tend to be pretty comfortable with me. I would love to hang out and spend some time with your pet, maybe watch a series together or go for a walk if the weather is right. I’m a Starbucks type of a girl, so pup cups are always an option

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t have them! I’ve grown up with dogs, and I currently share my life with a border collie. I found a love for training animals, when I was really young. My pup is a a high energy border collie, so a lot of my free time is spent putting his energy to good use. He knows quite a bit of tricks and I had a lot of fun teaching him. For the past three years, I’ve worked as a Veterinary Assistant. These experiences have given me strong skills in animal care, handling, and communication, especially when it comes to working with scared or timid dogs. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. I’d love to chat about how I can help care for your pets! I am currently a full time student, so I am home all days of the week. I have one dog myself, that loves all other dogs. I am able to let your dog out as many times as they need. We can also go for walks, and play as needed. When caring for your pets my top priorities are always safety, comfort, and trust. In your home, I make sure to maintain your pet’s normal schedule and environment as closely as possible. I follow your instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, playtime, and medication. My background as a Veterinary Assistant allows me to confidently handle pets with special needs, administer medication, and recognize early signs of stress or illness. I believe trust is built through consistency, communication, and care. You can count on me to treat your pets as if they were my own.

I have the knowledge, care, and experience to care for yours when your plate might be a little full. I have over 10 years old dealing with animals from working in an animal shelter, grooming salon, and just personal sitting experiences. I was a government employee on past bases converted stay-at-home mom here at ft liberty now. This allows flexibility and i would love to talk to you and (your pups/kitties) about services I can provide to help comfort you while your babies are being cared for. Let’s be friends and let me love your baby like I do my own! My personal dogs are extremely other animal friendly also! I am flexible for drop ins during the week, while weekends I’m available with a day notice! I am here to best help you make sure your furkids are taken care of and ease your mind. I have a large fenced in yard (almost an half acre) and my personal dogs are sized from 5lbs all the way to 100lbs. My pups have their very own area that they lounge during the day, without being kenneled, and are allowed to roam out and about while I’m home. They are all super friendly with other dogs and cats. I do have 2 indoor only cats who are other pet friendly, they are typically found lounging in a window, upstairs, with a nice bit of sunlight.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Wakulla

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 237 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Wakulla. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Wakulla commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 237 sitters in Wakulla, 92% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
