“Jenny was great!!!! This was a very last minute need on Labor Day weekend and she came to meet my girls, bonded with them instantly and came by twice to walk them and spend some time with them so we could attend an event - she kept me posted and sent me some adorable photos during her stay! It was such a relief to know they were well cared for so we could attend our event! The only concern which is not directed at Jenny at all was that when I first put the inquiry in for pet care on Labor Day weekend, the app never mentioned anything about holiday weekend fee of $50 per visit - I am very new on this site and had no idea until Jenny came to visit and we went forward with booking and at that point I didn’t have any choice - that said, it cost me $150 when I anticipated $50 which was a total bummer! Jenny is wonderful , warm and trustworthy and I will definitely use her again!!!!”

About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs for over 20 years and have spent about 10 years caring for other people’s pets. I’m currently completing training to become a professional dog trainer, and I enjoy helping dogs build confidence, improve their manners, and have a great time! I’m comfortable with dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities including puppies and senior dogs. I understand that every dog is different and I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and individual needs. Whether your dog needs a relaxing walk, some exercise and play, or basic training reinforcement during their visit, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I’d want for my own dogs! I’m a lifelong dog owner and dog enthusiast who genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs. I have a flexible schedule and am able to dedicate time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to body language and behavior. My goal isn’t just to get through a walk or visit, I want your dog to come home happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m also currently training to become a professional dog trainer, so I’m happy to reinforce basic manners and obedience during walks and visits when requested. When I arrive, I give pets a moment to settle in and become comfortable before greeting them. Once they are calm, I greet them and prepare them for their walk. Before meals, I encourage good manners by asking for a sit and stay when appropriate, or simply waiting for them to settle before placing their food down. I follow each pet’s individual routine and instructions to help them feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for.

I can board at my home anytime with proper consultation and care instructions. I have a 2 bedroom home with small fenced in yard. As well as a friendly dog and cat to keep your loved companion at ease.
“So happy to have found Leanne! We needed a last minute booking for several visits a day for a few days. She was so reliable and took great care of Emma. She even saved a few of our large plants on deck because of high wind. We will surely booking with Leanne again!”

“Carly was great! I had to book her last minute because my dog walker fell through. She was flexible and accommodating and made my time away from home stress free. She always showed up on time and kept me updated about my pup. I would definitely have Carly watch Stella again!”

“Lauren visited my cats over a weekend away. She followed instructions I left, took it upon herself to change the water bowl I left for the outside critters during a heat wave, and won over my scaredy cat. I am very pleased and will book her again.”

Prior to May I was a facility manager of a local daycare/boarding facility for almost 7 years. I was responsible for the safety and well being of 30-100 dogs everyday. Prior to that I worked at a vets office for 1 & 1/2 years and before that, a Luxury Pet Hotel for 3 & 1/2 years. I have cared for 1000's of dogs, all sizes, ages and breeds. I posses a wide array of skills and knowledge, ensuring all pets are safe and comfortable. I have managed large play groups, broken up altercations, cleaned wounds and given many forms of medications. I have also cared for senior dogs, injured dogs, and sick dogs. All dogs are supervised while outside and I can split play time or walks as needed. I love to take pack walks in the woods/trails and explore local parks if your okay with that! If not that's okay too, we can play fetch, indoor games and cuddle! I can crate your dog while I'm not home, or for bed time if needed. My 2 dogs Nigel and Sage are friendly and ready to play or chill with new friends. If I come to your home I can care for your pet anyway you choose, trying to keep their routine as similar to there day to day.
“This was our first time using a pet sitter, other than family, and we are extremely pleased with the experience. Cassie went above and beyond, taking care of our cats and home while we were away. Even our very shy cat, who takes days to come out while visitors are here, was out within a day and looking forward to her visits. Regular updates, photos, and personable accounts of the visits all added up to easing our minds about how the cats were doing, and we can't thank Cassie enough for her care of 2 of our furry family members! Highly recommend and will be calling Cassie for sure next time we need someone to watch the cats.”

There is also a great area with hiking trails about 10 minutes away.

“Sally was so great with our corgi puppy Finn. She was always quick to answer, extremely reliable, and competent. I’ve never had someone walk him before so I was very nervous, but she gave Finn so much love, treats, and even a new toy! Above and beyond! Thank you so much Sally!!”

“I'm so grateful to have had Sade watching my pup while I was out of town! She was super flexible and made herself available when I ended up needing to add several days to the booking at the last minute. She sent me awesome pictures and updates at every single visit. My dog can be quite anxious and reactive, especially with strangers, and it was clear from the meet and greet we did as well as all the updates I received that Sade was confident, patient, loving, and attentive and, as a result, my pup was completely at ease with her. I highly recommend her for any pet care needs you have!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks.
