I love taking them for walks, playing with them, and making sure they have everything they need to be happy and cozy! I'm currently working part-time while being home for the summer from college, so I'll have plenty of time to play and care for your pets! My work schedule varies per week so I am flexible and available most times! I am happy to care for your pets in any way you see fit! You and your pet's safety and trust is important to me, so let me know what makes you most comfortable!
About: I’ve always loved animals and enjoy making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their family is away. I have experience with dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, litter box care, potty breaks, and spending quality time with pets. I understand that every animal has a different personality and routine. I’m comfortable caring for energetic pets as well as pets who are shy, anxious, older, or simply need some extra patience. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions and provide photos and updates throughout the visit so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m dependable, communicative, and happy to arrange a meet & greet before a first booking. Pet care fits well into my routine, and I make sure I only accept bookings that I can give the proper time and attention to. My availability can vary throughout the week, so I communicate with pet parents ahead of time to make sure our schedules work together. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and boarding, with more flexibility on certain days and weekends. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, routines, and any special needs. I understand that being away from their owner or in a new environment can be stressful for some animals, so I’m patient and allow them time to get comfortable with me. I keep pets supervised, provide a clean and comfortable environment, and will always communicate with you if I notice anything unusual. I’m also happy to do a meet & greet beforehand so both you and your pet feel comfortable!

“James is THE best! Our pup loves James. He is highly reliable and has great communication. We’ve booked with him multiple times and will continue to be repeat customers. Thank you James for all you do!”

“Lauren visited my cats over a weekend away. She followed instructions I left, took it upon herself to change the water bowl I left for the outside critters during a heat wave, and won over my scaredy cat. I am very pleased and will book her again.”

“I am so incredibly thankful for the care Lisa gave to my two cats while we were out of the country. Not only did she come every day and spend time with them around the same time every evening, she also brought toys for them to keep. She made sure they had food, water, and clean litter every day. That’s beyond any service I was expecting and appreciate it immensely. Also, as a cute little added touch, she gave me painting with the same shades and colors on my boys coats. I would recommend her to anyone and trust her with my pets if we need to travel away again. She’s incredibly nice and trust worthy, anyone could trust her with their fur babies.”

About: I have been around dogs all my life, mostly big mutts, and actively caring for the family dog since the age of 10. I trained my parents last 2 labradors (always a fun breed). I have elderly dog experience both with a big malamute/shepherd mix and a diaper wearing rat terrier. So I am used to the individualized care that different dogs need. On the fun side of things, long walks, fetch and tug o war are my specialities! I can groom, bathe, give medications, play, walk, run, snuggle, scratch and provide whatever care you prescribe for your favorite family member! I currently work from home with a flexible schedule so I can run on your schedule. If dog sitting, I only need an couple hours in the afternoon to walk my parents dog. If your pup enjoys other dogs and you are comfortable with it they can come along too. My own 3 year old dog is walked at least 4 times a day. He is a lab so he enjoys long walks and trips to the beach, bay, hiking trails, and dog park. I make sure he gets tug of war time and he loves my cats laser pointer. We keep him supplied with dry food at all times because he does not overeat. He gets wet food once a week and an ample supply of people food whenever anyone is in the kitchen. But this is just how my family cares for our pups. I will strive to interrupt your dog's normal routine as little as possible.
About: I’m on Rover to help you out with any / all your pets needs while you’re away! I work full time as a behaviorist in a public school. I don’t dog train, but I am familiar with any techniques that you may need for your pup! I have 3 dogs and 3 cats of my own. I have experience with all breeds! All mutts and senior pups are welcome. I also have experience administering medication to dogs. All dogs of breeds and age deserve attention and love. I’d love it if you let me love your pets as if they are my own too! Thank you for reading this. I am able to work with the families in terms of what they need. My calendar may not always reflect accurately as my times with my full-time job (human) clients do fluctuate. If it is blocked off it means I am 100% unavailable. I don’t recommend myself in terms of full-on puppy training and 24/7 puppy care due to my schedule but I am versed in the training techniques due to my career. I am available weekends for extra care and staying in your home full time. My pets are well loved and taken care of while I care for others. I will never be able to host in my home, so please consider this! I offer in home care, overnight, daily walks, and check ins. Animals will not be hosted in my home due to a senior dog I have who is on medication. For those reasons, home sitting is only available in terms of long care. I have done walks, trips to stores, parks, yard play, and car trips with fur babies for daily drop ins, walks, or overnight stays!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks.
