I have two small papillon dogs, only 7 pounds and I did not want them staying with someone who also had big dogs. I was very skeptical and the person I selected to care for my canine children had to be like me. When I went on Esther's Dogs Vacay website, she had 106 reviews posted by previous dog parents. I read everyone of the 106 reviews posted. They were all positive. That gave me hope. I called Esther and she responded right away and we set up a meet and greet. I brought my papillons, Bella and Donny, over to her home in Kaneohe and met her and her three canine children. I immediately felt a connection to Esther. She has the same intuitive empathy for dogs that I have and she truly cares about dogs and can read their behavior. Esther and her husband Nick took great care of my dogs for 5 days and she sent many photos and videos everyday to my cellphone so I could see my dogs being cared for. She even hand-fed my dogs to make sure they ate their food. Her home is safe and secure for all of the dogs she cares for and there are gates sectioning off areas of her home to assure safety. Esther is also aware of any health issues your dog may have and will ask you about it.”

Julianna is truly the best dog sitter we’ve ever had! We were away for 12 days, and from the moment we interviewed her, we knew she was the perfect match. She’s incredibly kind, responsible, experienced with animals, and 100% reliable. Every day, Julianna sent us detailed updates on our dogs — including their behavior, meals, potty habits (yes, even the runny ones!), fun highlights from their day, and lots of adorable photos. It was clear she genuinely cared for them and took her responsibilities seriously. She was also incredibly respectful and clean in our home, going above and beyond. On the 4th of July, knowing the fireworks would stress our dogs out, she made special accommodations by having her mom stay with them while she stepped out for a few hours. She even stayed later than planned when our flight was delayed—completely unprompted and so appreciated. We felt so at ease the entire time we were gone. Julianna is a rare gem, and we absolutely love her! If you’re lucky enough to book her, your pets and your home will be in the best hands possible.
