About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s been caring for dogs since I was five years old, starting with my first dog, Skipper. I currently have two rescue mixes—a 14-year-old boxer/husky and a 7-year-old pittie/husky—which has given me a deep respect for senior dogs and the quirks that come with them. About: I’ve had the privilege of growing up with dogs since the age of 10. I’ve never lived in a house without 1-2 dogs. It’s always been a priority of mine to take my dog on at least a 2 mile walk a day if not longer. I have pet sat for families in the past and fostered a puppy in college. Come July I start school T,TH,F from roughly 9-4:30. Otherwise I will be working my PRN job whenever they are in need and I’m available. Over the past 12-14 years I’ve grown up with dogs living in my household. I currently have one medium sized dog, Nala, whom I recused about 5 years ago. She’s a velcro dog and the sweetest they come. She was 5 months old when we adopted her and it’s always been a priority to enforce socialization from day one. When she was almost the age of 2 we bought a German Shepard, Bo, at 8weeks old who she has grown up and lived with over the past 4 years. Regardless of who they are around we make sure to properly introduce everyone who is welcomed into their/our space. After moving to Lexington Nala moved with me as Bo stayed back home. I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of space to run and play. Nala likes to keep to herself most of the time, but highly enjoys walks, treats, and toys.
