About: Hello, pet parents! 🐾 I’m a college student at Utah Tech University studying Biology, with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian! I’ve been around animals my entire life and have owned numerous dogs and other pets, so I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for your furry family members. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I would want someone to give my own. I currently have a French Bulldog and a Boston Terrier, so I definitely know a thing or two about energetic, stubborn, and strong-personality dogs! 😂 Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just some extra attention, I’m ready to make sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for. I’d love the opportunity to meet and care for your pets! 🐶🐾 I am currently attending college so my daily and weekly routine is very flexible with your pets needs! I am available most times of day and can’t be there to provide the best care whenever it is needed! I have had pets in my home ever since I was born! I have allways had 3 dogs running around the house causing a ruckus, and I know the challenges pets can bring. I am well prepared for it and would love to spend lots of time with your animals!

“Ashton was great! We have 2 normal dogs and one with some behavioral issues. She kept everyone safe and was very kind about following our instructions. So grateful she was able to help us out while we were hiking at Zion.”

About: From 200-lb big babies to 2-lb pocket pups, I’ve cared for them all! I have one sweet dog of my own and treat every pet like family. My schedule is open 24/7 for any dog either needing a place to stay, a sleepover buddy, or just needing some quality play time. I have plenty of time for walks, feedings, and good company. I provide a calm, clean, and pet friendly environment where dogs are always supervised and treated like family. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I respect your space and stick to your dog’s normal to keep them happy and stress-free. I also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands.
About: My family has had Samoyeds all of my life and it turned me into a major dog-lover! I plan to get my own husky as soon as I graduate college, but in the mean time, I try to interact with dogs as much as possible. I now have a 7-year-old rescue who is my little baby. When sitting, I like to go on walks, runs, or play in large grassy areas to stay active. I am extremely responsible, never leaving pets alone and making sure that they are well-hydrated, fed, and entertained. I am comfortable and excited about dogs of all types, ages, and sizes. I’m a stay-at-home mama, so my schedule is pretty flexible and available! My husband is at home too so it’s easy for me to pop in and out as needed. I have a large grassy fenced in yard where doggos can sniff around and explore! There’s also a large grassy field right behind my house for fetch and getting all the energy out!
“Michelle was awesome and very trustworthy. She provided detailed daily updates after her drop-in visits, and we came home to a happy kitty. I would definitely work with her again!”

About: I’ve had many doggies in my family since I was five. Since I’m a paraplegic (going on five years now) and I have an ESA medium sized doodle, we would love a low-key playmate to share our adventures with—even if it’s just cuddling up on the couch, watching a movie. Being a paraplegic, I have access to my own door to the fenced in backyard from my bedroom. My parents are always home—which is where they also work—and would provide help with cuddles during our nightly movie fests. (Note: we prefer well trained, good natured, willing-to-be-low-key, but able to run at least two miles doggies. A love of Charlie Chaplin, like my dog, is optional) Daily, my Hairy and I go on walks—me on a three wheel scooter OR a three wheel bike, and never ever if it’s more than 100 degrees. If it’s 90-100 degrees, I thoroughly hose down my doggie and bring lots of water, and aim for a trail or park with lots of grass. If your dog is well mannered, I will let them loose and we can play with the ball.) My parents and I all work our individual jobs at home. I’m a writer in a wheelchair with my dog Hairy, who is in every respect like the hero we all have read about and adore. As I work on my computer, Hairy sits on his bed in the corner, waiting for another doggie boarder to play with! Yet, daily, your dog and mine would get at least two walks/bike rides/3 wheeled scooter rides so they get exposure to the world outside. (Some soaking down may be required for heat purposes.) Lots of treats, loves, cuddles, and relaxation provided with a varied fenced-in backyard are always at hand. Fenced yard, fountains, maybe 25 trees, no cats (bleah!), grass galore, and stairs to explore! Inside our environment is a working from home angelic nurse practitioner mom, a hard working engineer dad, and a writer (that’s me! Find my first book on Amazon called Prelude in N Minor as well as my other books!).

About: I’ve always loved animals and have two dogs of my own. I’ve house sat and dog sat many times for friends and family, and I really enjoy spending time with dogs. I’m dependable, responsible, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. Since I have two dogs of my own, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets with someone you trust. I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, care, and time to feel comfortable while you’re away! I am currently a student at Utah Tech, and have classes mainly on Monday and Wednesdays. I have lots of free time during the week to be able to help out with your dogs. I really enjoy being outside and getting exercise so I would love to be able to do that while helping out! I have lots of experience for training and taking care of dogs. I have nannied for a family the past two years, and have taken care of their dog. I am a strong communicator when it comes to making a plan and keeping a good relationship with the families I take care of.
About: I have hands on experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic young animals to seniors who need extra patience and attention. I’m comfortable following structured feeding routines, administering medications, and providing attentive care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. I can care for a wide range of animals from dogs and cats to birds, hamsters, and beyond. I grew up on a farm surrounded by many different animals, which gave me a strong foundation in animal care, responsibility, and understanding animal behavior. I focus on keeping pets calm, comfortable, and stress free by caring for them in their own home and maintaining the routines they’re used to. Reliability, cleanliness, and clear communication are priorities for me, and I treat every pet and home as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I attend school and run my main business primarily remotely, which gives me flexibility to plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, medication needs, and overnight stays. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to be present, punctual, and attentive throughout the day and evening. I prioritize consistency and reliability so pets experience minimal disruption while their owners are away, and I’m comfortable adjusting my availability to meet each pet’s specific needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress free. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, clean litter boxes or habitats, administer medications if needed, and give pets the appropriate level of attention and companionship based on their personality. I’m respectful of each home and keep the space clean and secure while I’m there. For overnight stays, I make sure pets feel safe and settled, especially in the evenings and mornings when routines matter most. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners know their pets are doing well.
About: Hi, I’m Kaitlynn – your pet’s new best friend! I’ve grown up with animals and currently care for two of my own, so I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you can trust. Whether it’s a high-energy pup who needs extra playtime, a shy rescue that needs patience, or a senior pet with special care needs — I meet them where they’re at, with love and consistency. I just moved to Oregon from Nevada and am currently settling in and building a flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time and availability to focus on pet care. I’m not tied to a full-time job right now, so your pets will get lots of attention, walks, cuddles, and updates throughout the day. Whether you need someone reliable for daily drop-ins, long walks, or overnight care, I’m here and fully present for your pets. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your animals with someone — and I don’t take that lightly. Your pets — and your home — treated with care and respect. I follow your instructions closely, keep doors locked, double-check gates, and make sure your pets stick to their routine so they feel safe and secure.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
