About: I’ve taken care of dogs since the age 5 when I was gifted my first pup. I love my dogs as if they were my children. I have 10yr old 80lb boxer mix and a 9mo poodle. I’m currently in school to be a certified life coach. My husband owns a cleaning business and I help him from time to time. I would like to fill in my days getting outside and caring for your fur babies. I can care for your dog at home as instructed. I also have a medium poodle that is fully vaccinated and in great health that I can bring along to play with your pup.

About: Hi! I would love to watch your pet and give them the best time of their life! We can take walks, run around at the dog park, and play with anything from my toy bucket☺️ Your pet gets my full VIP (Very Important Pet) treatment! With over 5 years of pet-sitting experience, I’ve yet to meet a dog I didn’t instantly fall in love with. Expect belly rubs, playtime, and all the attention your furry friend deserves! When house sitting, I do my best to follow your pet’s daily schedule closely, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed in their familiar home environment.

About: I’ve had a dog all my life, have pet sit for many dogs, cats, and even a rabbit! I love animals and have knowledge about all sorts of pets. I am a student at Butler University and have just a couple classes with a lot of extra time each week. At home I have a dog and my sorority house also has a dog. Making sure pets are comfortable and safe is my number 1 priority. I even did my Girl Scout Gold Award project about keeping dogs from getting scared and running away and how to find them if it happens.

“I cannot say thank you enough to Liz for looking out for my boy while I was away. I was so anxious about my cruise but Liz sent me beautiful pictures of my super happy puppy and a report everyday that really helped me to relax and enjoy my vacation.”

About: I’ve had two dogs in my lifetime each for 12 years and I’ve always loved to be around them and to make sure they were safe and felt happy. I treat each pet like family. My reliability, calm demeanor and love for animals make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I will walk the dog everyday and I can board dogs every weekend. I have experience taking care of a French bulldog named Randy. Sometimes I go there to take care of him and other times I bring him to my apartment. I have space in our apartment for the dog to roam around and I live in a safe dog friendly neighborhood in which we can take the dog for long walks near a park and a pond.

About: my name is Amber! At a very young age I’ve been passionate about animals and always looking into what I could do to help them. I’m outgoing & high energy so I have no problem keeping up with higher energy dogs or even just cuddling on a couch catching some quality cuddle time!! I am a full time student working towards my degree completely online. I have a flexible schedule and I currently available in the new coming year! While I am home I am the sole provider for my pets. They are fed multiple times a day and always provided with fresh water. As for my dog Jupiter he is taken on multiple walks as well as having access to our fenced in yard.

About: Since the age of 7 years old I have always had a dog around my families home. Along with my family pet, I have experience taking care of dogs that range in age and size. I have experience with 6 month old puppies that need a lot of attention through 14 year old dogs that need medication given to them. Over the years, I have taken care of pets for my friends and family ranging from a day, a weekend, to a whole week. Having a dog of my own, I understand the difficulties of finding the right sitter as well as the importance of finding the right one. I am currently a Graduate student at the University of Rhode Island. For the summer, I am taking online asynchronous classes. Since my classes are asynchronous I am able to work my school schedule around my pet sitting schedule. With that being said, I still need a couple hours each day to devote to my school work. When it comes to someone else's home, I follow all the directions that are given to me. I am very versatile depending on the needs of the pet and owner. When it comes to walks, I always walk dogs with their leash and preferably a harness for long walks (but if they don't have one that is okay as well). If I bring the dog to my own home, I have a deck with a gate and a big backyard for playing.

About: I have the ability to reinforce basic commands like sit, stay, and recall during walks or sitting sessions. I have the ability to channel their boundless energy in a productive way, whether through play or structured exercise. I have a 11 year old pit bull which gives me experience with caring for a senior dog but understanding the slower pace, possible joint pain, or health issues that may require extra care. Being observant of subtle signs of discomfort, such as limping & notifying the owner if needed. Knowledge of how to administration oral medications & liquids. I am currently an entrepreneur which gives me more free time to provide the necessary care for your pet care. With such a flexible schedule I’m able to be available any day & anytime My two dogs are fenced it at home where they have a nice big yard to exercise & run around. I also take them on frequent walks especially the senior dog to be able to be more mobile on his legs.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my individualized care. Every animal is unique, and I tailor my approach to their specific needs and personality, ensuring they receive dedicated, personalized attention and genuine companionship, not just a standard service. Caring for animals isn’t just a job for me — it’s a natural part of my daily life. I structure my week around my pet-sitting commitments, making sure each visit gets the time and attention it deserves. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening cuddles, I plan my schedule to match each pet’s routine as closely as possible. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved is something I take seriously every day. When I’m caring for pets in their own homes, my goal is to keep them as comfortable and relaxed as possible by sticking to their usual routines. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality, preferences, and needs — whether that means keeping up with their favorite walking route, feeding schedule, playtime habits, or simply giving them space when needed. I always follow any instructions you provide closely, from medication to mealtime routines, and I keep the home tidy and secure while you're away. I treat every pet and home with respect, as if they were my own.

About: I've been around all sorts of animals since I was a child, firstly with pet birds of my own, then volunteering at a farm for a number of years. Most recently, my experience as a veterinary assistant and being in school for a veterinary technician degree also gives me much knowledge in care for all sorts of animals, especially dogs and cats! I'm currently working at a veterinary hospital and have a few days where I can take time to fit pets that need attention into my schedule. Since my schedule changes regularly, my availability may change weekly, but usually does not impede on any pet that needs my attention. I have a variety of cages, leashes, harnesses, and toys for all size dogs if it is not available to the owner. Another benefit I can offer is the fact that since I also work at an animal hospital, if in the event where a pet needs attention while their owner’s are away, I have the access and contacts to help with any needs of that pet as soon as possible, with the permission of the owners.

About: I love all animals and will take excellent care of your pet. I have 15+ years of professional experience, and a lifetime of experience with my own variety of pets. I’ve worked at Hi Tor Animal Shelter taking care of animals and helping with adoptions, as a veterinary assistant at VEG in Nanuet for a year, and All Creatures in Pomona as a CSR and assistant. I’m currently at the new Nyack Neighborhood Veterinary in Nyack. I’m also in school for animal nursing to become a licensed veterinary technician (LVT). I love to give all animals and pets compassionate, nurturing, and professional care and companionship. My available services include meals, bathroom breaks, walks, play-time, socialization, and also some medical attention as needed like vet visits, meds (oral, topical, ear/eye drops, injection), and grooming (baths, claws, etc). I also have some experience with training and can assist with managing certain behavioral issues. I'm able to handle any type of dog, any age, any size, most temperaments, and I can manage special-needs pets. Cats are also among my areas of expertise. I work with other animals as well, including reptiles (especially snakes), hamsters, birds, etc. I’m currently working part time as a veterinary assistant at Nyack Neighborhood Veterinary, and my schedule is flexible for other pet care needs. I have availability during some days, evenings, and weekends. *PLEASE READ RE: OVERNIGHT HOUSE SITTING: Rover does not currently allow users to specify available time frames for house sitting stays, so while I do have availability for some overnight pet/house sitting, it will usually be limited to a short duration, like 3-4 nights at a time, with the possibility for occasional exceptions (TBD). The open days that I have posted on my calendar are days that I can be available in general, and I’ll try to work something out to meet your needs if possible. I’ve posted a 1-day cancellation policy, but I would prefer 48 hours notice of cancellation for a commitment so that I have an opportunity to reallocate that time. The main thing is clear communication in advance so that dates, details, and expectations can all be sorted out. I always respect the personal space and privacy of homes where I’m watching pets. My goal is to stick to routines as much as possible, and to keep your pet feeling happy and healthy and loved.

“1st time Rover mama here, David is an experience handler and couldn’t be happier that we found him to watch and care for our two energetic puppies. He goes above and beyond to ease my nervousness! I recommend him -10/10!!”

Hilda R.
“Hilda is an absolute gem! She has been walking and caring for my dog, Tango, for quite some time now, and I can honestly say she’s heaven-sent. Her care and attention to detail are unmatched. I often have to travel for work, and knowing Hilda is there gives me such peace of mind. She makes sure Tango is well-fed, hydrated, and walked throughout the day. It’s incredibly hard to find someone you can fully trust with your fur baby—but with Hilda, I know Tango is in loving, capable hands. Her dedication and genuine love for animals shine through in everything she does. Truly a blessing!”

Flower R.
“Flower is an amazing person with a big heart, (especially when it comes to pets/animals) and an amazing pet lover, whenever I/we go away for a long period of time we take our cat to her. She alone has a cat and fostered a cat from someone who couldn't take care of it. When she was staying at a friend's who's indoor outdoor cat had baby's outside, she took them in, got the mother to take care of the baby's and took care of the baby's (checked their weight, help one that was constipated, help train them to use the litter boxe etc.) till they were old enough to go to their forever home”

Joseph B.Star Sitter

“Joe was amazing- great communication through the day. . Our dogs lovers him. He took special care with our special needs dog Highly recommend.”

Ollie F.
“Ollie is trully dog's (and cat's) best friend! She has such a great love for all animals - and they are drawn to her (even those who take some time to warm up to people). I know that in HS both her Silver and Gold Girl Scout awards were centered around animals as her hope was to help both animals and their owners (horse rescue and preventing lost dogs). She has been a trusted pet sitter throughout our neighborhood. Always spending quality time with the pets and keeping their families updated with pics and status. I would highly recommend her as a dog walker/sitter.”

Mostly we’re gone for just a weekend or a week but we have had Stephanie stay for 2 trips that were over a month long. She sent updates by text and we never worried what was happening at home. We always return to happy pups and a clean house.”

“Kerly has taken care of my dog, Kyro on various occasions. Kerly was always punctual and cooperative with the schedule that we have accustomed our dog to. She always fed Kyro on time and even went out of her way to play with him on instances where he was lonely due to be home without my family. Kerly is a passionate pet caregiver and I know she will wonderfully apply her wide skillset to assisting the needs of various animals.”

Raizel S.

“Raizel was amazing! She came on time and my dog Milo was very happy and comfortable with her.”

Kyra L.
“Kyra has helped us with our own dogs and with several of our short term foster dogs. I trust her completely with our two barky GSDs. She has an awesome energy. I've seen her walk a reactive 90lb Rottie and distract when necessary and maintain a happy playful demeanor that keeps the dog from escalating. She is able to read dog behavior to intervene when necessary in a play group, too. She was super calm with a high energy Jack Russell mix that had a tendency to get over stimulated. Highly recommend. Kyra is very responsible and experienced! Five stars.”
